Singer Sewing Machine Late 1880s This is an"Improved High Arm Singer" it says on the machine arm. Made by the National Sewing Machine Company in Belvidere Illinois. All the machine mechanisms seem to work. or should I say seAm) The cover is held in place by 2 metal feet that fit into metal holes in the base. There is a front slide out drawer which containes some kind of metal bracket attachment. The machine folds up from the base on 2 metal hinge pins. Once folded up to the maximum. The machine can be removed from the base. I believe this machine was hand powered as I see no evidence of any foot pumped belt drive. Bobbin winder is powered by contact with belt. There is still a boat shuttle and bobbin in the oscillating mechanism. They do show some use to them. One of them is missing the knob. Really cool set. You won't see this to often, 6 of them. You will see 2-3 or even 4. I wanted to put them all together as a LOT. The wood top is an original White SMC tiger oak cabinet top with folding leaf. The 6 drawers are original, with beautifully embossed ornamentation. They make a nice complement to the ornate machine head and are valuable antiques on their own. The cast WSM cast iron treadle stand is all original. When not in use, the machine head folds down into the cabinet and the leaf folds over the top, turning it into a compact side table. This is a neat antique Jones Family CS sewing machine. It's in nice condition for it's age(late 1800's) But it is missing the case/cover. As far as I can tell, it's parts are all there except for the top case, and it has the original design still. Serial number is 27918. Machine lifts up to expose storage underneath. Antique Domestic Brand Treadle Sewing Machine Late 1864-Early 1900's. Works.
Note: I am listing this for a friend who is 80 years old. This machine was his grandmother's who passed away in 1930. Domestic sewing machine company started in 1861 making parts and made their first complete machine in 1864. They outlasted all the other"innovators" but ceased operation in the 1930's depression. Their claim to fame was any thickness material would smoothly go through their machine. Their machines were not only workhorses but also works of art(see photos) The finish is worn on the work surface and there is a dent in the wood cover on one side. Hard to see but you may be able to detect it in the one photo. This machine comes with many accessories, some of which sell for $15-20. Also look at the prices paid for just the wood cover or the cast iron frame. I did not see any rust which is unusual for these old ... moremachines. The Peerless is one you don't find very often as the name is cast into the base rather than stamped on an applied steel plate. Metal sewing plate is stamped with dates. June 2.96, Jan.26.97 and Oct. 19.97. Seems to be complete, with box and original paperwork. The larger sheet is in 3 pieces as time has made the paper very brittle. The wooden box is together, but very fragile. Much of the lip is gone but enough remains to hold the lid on. PayPal only.

This is a Singer Childs Size Hand Crank Sewing Machine from the late 1800s. there is normally a little bead type handle on the crank that is missing this can be purchased from eBay as well. Sewing machine is in great condition for its age. Most of the decals are still intact. Everything including the shuttle moves smoothly. The case is very dry from sitting in storage for many years and I do not have the key to lock it. There are normal signs of wear all over the wood and some of the machine. Some of the silver parts and screws have light amounts of rust that can probably be removed. 4 bobbin shuttles total. The compartment under the adjustment wheel is missing as well as the track it slides on. I will leave the detail cleaning to the new owner. Here is an old Willcox and Gibbs Type 200 Free Arm Hat Machine. The number is S401631. I think it is from the late 1800's. The letter S prefix designates that it is a Hat Change Stitch Model. The finish is worn in spots. It is missing presser foot and eye on arm that I know about. There may be more missing parts. It is not running. It is 9" x 5 1/2" and 9" tall.
