MINNESOTA MODEL A TREADLE SEWING MACHINE IN TIGER OAK CABINET W/ATTACHMENTS
This is a very nice Minnesota model A working treadle sewing machine with original attachments and instruction book circa 1925. The sewing machine is enclosed in a tiger oak cabinet when not in use. To use you open the front swing door and lift the top right to left and the machine pulls up. The tiger oak cabinet appears to be in original condition and the finish is very good. When closed the cabinet measures 22 1/2" wide. 18" deep, and is 30 1/2" tall. It sits on four rollers. The belt has one worn spot on it but it is working. Shipping can be arranged through TSC Moving or Rick Ships to most parts of the country, I will deliver for $1.00 per mile to a 100 mile radius of Slidell, La. or local pick up is always welcome. Antique 1889 Singer Oak Puzzle Box w/ 20+ Treadle Sewing Machine Attachments Up for auction is this Antique 1889 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Oak Dovetailed Puzzle Box with over 20 Accessories&or Attachments. I don't know what all of these parts are.please view the photos. I also don't know if all these were original to this box but most appear to be. There are 6 little bobbins or spools of some sort. Markings: The box is marked"Patented February 19 1889" in an oval on top. The clips in the box are marked 1-18. Parts 1-6 and 12 are clipped into the box. Most of the other parts are not marked but a couple have patent dates. Condition: Everything appears to be in good to very good condition with no damage but I cannot be certain so please inspect all the photos. You are bidding on a clean antique sewing machine manufactured by Wheeler& Wilson Mfg of Bridgeport. CT and distributed by Wheeler& Wilson Mfg of 625 Broadway, New York, NY. The first patent date is November 12th 1850 second patent date is Aug 12th 1851 and the third june15th 1852 and the last patent date is dec19th 1854 with a serial number of 769608(see photo) For condition. See the photos. No apparent cracks or damage to the machine, wooden box or iron base. There are needles. There is one bobbin in the machine plus 3 extra bobbins, along with other attachments shown. Excellent Condition Antique 1913 White Treadle Sewing Machine With Attachments
Up for auction is for a beautiful antique treadle sewing machine made by the White Sewing Machine Company in Cleveland. Ohio. The condition of this is so good it looks almost brand new. The attachments, medal box, and manual look new also. It comes with 12 attachments in box, small screw driver, small black belt, and book#12 White Rotary Electric sewing machine manual(which is the same machine as this only with electric motor) The main belt that drives the machine is missing. The plate on the machine is stamped Pat. June 3, 1913 White Sewing Machine Co. Cleveland, Ohio so I'm assuming this is a 1913 machine. Everything works great. The serial number is#FR 3078981. You can see by the pics that the woodwork is in very nice shape and the sewing machine looks like it just came out of the box. The markings are clean and brightly colored. It is really a nice piece of history. This is a Model 66 with the number G6597810 on the plate. It was manufactured in 1919. So it is now 95 years old. I emailed Singer and this was their reply: Our records show that serial#G6597810 belongs to Singer model 66 manufactured on January 2. 1919 in Elizabeth. New Jersey. The 4 droors all work and the tip out droor on the front works as well. There is a key that locks all 5 droors. The sewing machine lifts out and is supported by part of the wooden top. This all works smoothly and correctly. I ... morehave not sewn anything with this machine. So I do not know if it works or not. One of the best Treadle Sewing Machines I've seen! This is a Minnesota sewing machine with a quarter sewed oak cabinet has stunning graining to the wood. The pictures say it all. Front drawers have beautiful curved fronts with wonderful carved adornments. The treadle sewing machine is original and complete, along with the original box of attachments that come with it. Hardware is also original. I have never used the sewing machine for anything other than a lamp table, which really works great. Hello& Welcome, Here's a beautiful. Old Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from 1902. It's set in its original, gorgeous oak cabinet with lovely woodworking details on its face& drawers and a just as lovely cast iron base. The drawers also have their original hardware. This old Singer's in great overall condition for it age and was in very good working order until the belt broke a couple weeks ago. This is the only thing that will need replaced. It has its original attachments too, quite a few spools of thread and a lot of sewing needles used to pin fabric together. It also comes with both instructions for how to use the sewing machine and the attachments. The serial number is K290495, which dates it to being made in 1902. The first patent date on it is Dec. 5, 1882 and the last patent date is Jan. 13, 1891. On the oak cabinet ... moreis the number 3036, which I'm not sure what it means but believe it refers to its size, please see measurements next. It measures approximately 36 1/2" long, 18" deep and 30 1/2" high closed. Opened up it measures approximately 50 1/8" long, with the other measurements being the same. Locking wood drawers. One drawer is loose and needs tightening. Two boxes of attachments plus a bag of various buttons and miscellaneous pieces. Or maybe you just appreciate the fine engineering and great craftsmanship of antique sewing machines! The latest date on the patent list on the throat plate.Is 1913 so I'm fairly certain this machine dates from 1913 to ca. 1920. When I purchased the machine, it did not have the leather belt, so I replaced that, wound a bobbin, and made myself a set of slipcovers! It uses standard sewing machine needles. Like other sewing machines from this period, this Elgin is a straight-stitch only machine and does not have a reverse function. This is quite heavy and I will not ship it anywhere. Early 1900's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine- I was told from lady I got it from whom of which got it from her grandmother it's model name was a"Red Eye" I always just called them treadle sewing machines. She said it needed a belt. A tune up and oiled and since I don't sew I wouldn't know what else it may need. It has bobbins and other accessories attachments including attachment box. Key that locks all drawers on cabinet. Along with the instruction manual. It's cabinet and machine has some wear and tear from it's age. Pictures are part of description of condition. So please look at them all. Sold in"as is condition" Dusty! I left as I did not chance wiping off patina or chance scrubbing of the well earned character of being literally 2 years shy of being 100 years old! This beautiful old machine was just purchased at a local estate sale. I believe it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. I am not able to read the serial number. But I do not see any letters infront of the numbers. It still has the belt which is not pictured. It also has its original attachments. The machine and cabinet show some wear and the cabinet top has been replaced. The base is ornate and would be gorgeous used as a table. Some peeling at the bottom of the left side of the cabinet. The old treadle belt dry-rotted a long time ago. And is gone. We have had this for over 35 years as a decorative piece only. We never had this running. So cannot tell what it would need other than the treadle belt to run again. However, nothing looks broken. Some wear to the decals. But overall looks very good.
