Up for purchase is a Wilcox& Gibbs antique sewing machine. A great collectors show piece and for a very RARE one this one works fine mechanically. ... moreYou just do not see these machines in any kind of good condition and so complete anymore! We purchased this machine from a person who does not sew. We have found that the Wilcox and Gibbs was probably the most successful of the chain-stitching sewing machines. The"Automatic" was produced continuously unchanged form from 1876 to c.1950. Located in New York City. The company began production in 1858. The company was founded by James Gibbs, and James Willcox. These machines used a single thread to form chain-stitch seams so there is NO bobbin needed. The machines were easy to use and quieter than the lockstitch machines; they were also much less expensive. If you collect sewing machines or just want to display in your home then this is your chance to get one. This machine comes with. Its original manual or book and even some spare needles. I have found some patent dates on it, Nov 22, 1887-March 28, 1882 and August 28, 1894 and has a serial number of A696165. The following is list of things I have found might need attention? Power cord from motor was extended Latch on box lid will need attention. Only bottom there. Light rust on sewing plate Box could be restained. Case is complete. strong, except upper part of latch needed. inside of case complete. I can only put 12 pictures on Ebay, if you want more write me.

Antique Singer Chain Stitch Sewing Machine: Model 24 Treadle with Cabinet 1900
Antique Singer Chain Stitch Sewing Machine: Model 24 Treadle with Beautiful Cabinet Based upon the ISMACS Singer Sewing Machine Database. This machine with Serial Number N496866, is a Model 24 that was allotted to 2500 machines on October 5, 1900. From my research I believe this is most likely to be a Model 24-1: The Decal Pattern is'floral' also called'small flowers' and/or'decal pattern#19' The Cloth Plate is'silver' the Tension is'manual' The operation is'treadle' and The Spool Pin is'right back' Most of the decals are in Excellent shape. The Cloth Plate is good. Not perfect, but good. It has some loss, scratches and wear. Not rusty. This machine is well over 100 years old and still sews very nicely. The photo shows the machine going from a long stitch to a shorter one. Please excuse ... morethe operator for he is a rank novice. The cabinet has 6 drawers with beautiful wooden design applied in near perfect condition. The cast iron portion of the cabinet has virtually no rust. As you can see in the photos of the cabinet: The veneer is coming off of the top boards and needs work. Some of the applied design in the center front has come off and needs some work. Toy Miniature Chain Stitch Sewing Machine
Cute miniature antique chain stitch child's or salesman sample sewing machine. Top bar has a repair. But it is in working order-just add a needle. Serial number on throat plate says No. 224559. The irregular line and spacing of the numbers, combined with the difference in depth of stamping, tell me that the machine was hand-stamped one number at a time, and is therefore very, very old. It has a three-spoked crank wheel, original wooden handle, all original screws, springs, etc except for the screw on the throat plate. The original painting of wheat( leaf and floral pattern can still be seen on the front, and two sides of the base. It is all metal with a faux pawfoot base and ring for a clamp connection to a table. I believe it is German made, circa 1910. Happy bidding! No international. Please. b7g.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp*0%3C3%3Eb7g-13dedef1099-0xf3-

Willcox & Gibbs Automatic Chain stitch Model 64 Sewing Machine w/all atchm, case
The Willcox& Gibbs Chainstitch Model# 64 Automatic sewing machine in uniquely preserved cosmetic and mechanical condition. One of the marvels of sewing mechanisms with ALL W& G attachments. The Wilcox& Gibbs model 64 chain stitch sewing machine“is the stable mate of many collections around the world” While in 1856 the four“heavyweights” Singer. Wheeler& Wilson,Grover& Baker and Howe Sewing Machine Companies were trying to solve the problems of patent litigation and did not have a time to address the issue of an average family’s financial limitations and they almost overlooked the market demand for affordable family sewing machine. In 1855 after James E. Gibbs saw a simple illustration of a Grover& Baker machine it triggered the new idea: The rotating hook on the main shaft could enter into the loop formed by the friction ... morefrom the treaded needle going up through the fabric. Elongate it and hold expanded while the feed dog moved the fabric until the needle at the next needle bar down stroke goes through the previously formed loop, getting drawn through it and therefore to form a chain. Then in 1856 after actually witnessing a Singer model# 1 machine in action(patent#8394) Gibbs has come to the obvious conclusion that the machine was too heavy. Complicated, cumbersome and way too expensive. He has decided to create a less-expensive and simple type of sewing machine. James Gibbs and Charles Willcox has obtained a few patents( major one# 17.427 on June 2, 1857) and patented the Automatic tension and feed improvements. A few more patents for the method of removing the twists in the thread that caused so many missed stitches on the early models and also a patent for noise reduction on the feed. After that they have formed“Willcox& Gibbs SMC” and the first commercial chain stitch sewing machine has been patented and produced in 1857 and became a great success immediately! The W& G Automatic Elastic Chain stitch Noiseless nickel plated sewing machine Model 64 was sold for a half price of co

Antique National Eldredge Chain Stitch Sewing Machine Head
This Antique National Eldredge Chain Stitch Sewing Machine Head has been gently restored. What does gently restored mean? The overall objective is to preserve as much as the old tool or item with its lifetime patina as possible without the use of power tools. Metal is typically initially cleaned using mineral oil. Or a weak solution of washing soda and water and if necessary brief electrolysis to remove and or convert rust to black oxide. Whichever method is best, a scotch brite plastic cleaning pad is used with water so the underlying metal is not damaged. A heat gun is immediately used to blow dry and eliminate moisture which is followed by a hand rubbed coat of mineral oil. After letting the oil“soak in” for a day or so, the item is wiped cleaned then hand rub in bees wax to seal it. A weak solution of oil soap and water is used to remove ... moregrime, old oils and dirt from wood which is air or blowed dry with a heat gun. This is followed by a hand rub of“feed and wax" Normally all other materials are simply wiped clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth as appropriate. If the situation requires it, a soft brass bristle brush or“0000” steel wool is used occasionally. A couple of items should be noted. The first is this gentle process may not remove all rust or dirt, etc, as there is always a balance of limiting restoration to not affect patina. The second is that tools and items are not conditioned for use such as sharpening, tightening or replacement of parts. This is left up to the judgement of the new owner as there is a large range of utilization of older tools. Lastly, the item may have residual oil left in the cleaning process. This can be wiped off but the item may benefit from an additional application of clear oil to further enhance and stabilize the item for extended life. This is a hobby with the enjoyment of knowing these items might last generations with care. Powered by The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.

Antique NATIONAL / B. ELDREDGE Automatic Chain Stitch Sewing Machine - cir. 1890
Antique NATIONAL/ B. ELDREDGE Automatic Chain Stitch Sewing Machine- cir. 1890: Up for auction is beautiful Antique National Sewing Machine Company/ B. Eldredge Automatic Chain Stitch Sewing Machine. Nation merged with Eldredge in 1890 and this model displays both of the company's names- NATIONAL SEWING MACHINE COMPANY on the plate and B. ELDREDGE AUTOMATIC on the brass plate mounted on the base of the machine. I re-discovered this smaller sized cast iron sewing machine recently while out on one of my picking adventures here in New Hampshire and when I first saw the items I thought that it was a Willcox& Gibbs because of the almost identical size and design of the two early chain stitch models. This National/ Eldredge sewing machine is in its original(unrestored) condition. When I discovered this sewing machine. It was rather dusty ... morebut in otherwise very good condition. I've thoroughly dusted this machine using some light compressed air and I have wiped down the item using a clean, soft cloth to brighten up the metalwork but I have not taken apart the machine so there may be some additional detailing cleaning needed. It is obvious that this was a treasured item and one that has been gently used in times past. I have not found any physical damage to the sewing machine(cracks. Breaks or repairs) and the cast iron frame is in excellent condition. The only parts of the machine that have any pitting to it are the top of the tension knob and on the front and backside of the spool pin and these areas of'pitting' are extremely light but they are noticeable upon inspection so I wanted to make note of these spots. The needle bar and foot bar also have some light discoloration due to age but these bars are not rusted, pitted or corroded. When I manually turn the small wheel, the components of the machine operate cleanly, smoothly and as they should. The original black paint has retained a nice glossy shine to it and there are only very small areas of loss to the paint. The guilt decorative trim is clearly
1913 Singer Model 30 Hand Crank Sewing Machine Chain Stitch Hard to Find!
Singer Model 30 This is a Singer model 30 sewing machine which was made at the Kilbowie. Scotland factory in 1913, so this year is its 100th birthday. It is a hand crank chain stitch machine and is quite hard to find as 15500 or less were made, and 5000 of those were shipped to Japan. It is larger than the model 20 toy sewing machine. But the head is just slightly smaller than the model 24 chain stitch. It is less than 12" wide, about 10" to the top of the spool pin and about 7-1/4" deep. Before being packed for shipping it weighs a little over 11 pounds, or about the same as a featherweight. One of the things I think is interesting is that when the presser foot is lifted it rotates out of the way. Making it easy to see your needle and fabric. Didn't some of the toy sewing machines do that? I think it is complete. It even ... morehas a seam guide. I oiled it and it runs pretty nice. A little bit jerky, like sewing on a toy machine, but not bad. It made a surprisingly nice stitch but I had to skip the thread guide that is below the front tension, it made the thread way too tight, I went from the front tension directly to the left tension and the stitch was decent. I'm sure if you play with it you can get it all figured out. I have never seen a manual for this model, but it isn't too hard to see where the thread should go. When I took it apart to see the serial number there were remains of a red rubber gasket in between the two parts. I took the pieces off since they were crumbling. You can see some red in the photo. A new gasket of some sort would be helpful in preventing the machine from moving on the base. Silly, but it is only secured with one screw, what did they think would happen? Condition: There is some loss to the decals and some chips to the paint. Most are on the base. Some of the paint on the base is a little bumpy. I don't think it is rust, maybe the paint was applied poorly? Please enlarge the pictures above to see more detail. The stitch plate looks like it might have been rus
Guhl & Harbeck Vintage Original Express Hand Crank Sewing Machine Chain Stitch
Guhl& Harbeck Sewing Machine This is a vintage sewing machine made by Guhl& Harbeck of Hamburg. Germany. It is their Original Express model. It is a hand crank machine that sews a chain stitch but it is currently missing the hook that forms the stitch. There are also some broken teeth in the hand wheel gears. But the handwheel still goes around and the needle goes up and down ok, just a little noisier than it should. The paint is poor, all the gold trim has been worn off and some bare metal shows through the existing japan black. It is missing the spring and nut for the tension on the top of the machine. It has lovely paw feet and despite its flaws will look great in a sewing machine collection or on a shelf in your sewing room. On the stitchplate is the Guhl& Harbeck logo which is intertwined letters G& H and the words"Original ... moreMaschine" It was missing the needle. I put in a Wilcox& Gibbs needle, I am not sure it is correct, but it fits. The machine i s 11-1/2" wide. Almost 10" tall, and under 7-1/2" deep. Powered by The free listing tool. Rare Singer 1907 24-29 Two Needle Chain Stitch Ruffling Sewing Machine Head
If you collect unique sewing machines then here is a treat for you. Made in 1907. This two needle chain stitch machine was meant to be used in manufacturing. It uses 24 x 1 needles which are still available. You can with a simple adjustment change the ruffling from just barely to very close and tight. Included with the machine is a large hemmer with what appears to be a slot on the underside for elastic. Not sure about that so if you have questions please let me know. I have never used this hemmer. The machine is dirty in places and will need to be cleaned. The paint is in good condition for its age and the fact that it is an industrial machine. There are a few chips and the black is faded somewhat as is evidenced by the bright black in the area underneath the hemmer. It turns smoothly and the ruffling device works well. If you are familiar ... moreat all with old Singer 24 class machines you know that this one is special. Study the photos carefully. And again if you have questions I will respond. Antique Willcox & Gibbs Chain Stitch Sewing Machine W/Base and Bonnet 1902
This auction is for a wonderful old Willcox& Gibbs sewing machine with all the original parts and finish. According to the serial number. A 531954, the machine was manufactured between 1898 and 1903. The base has the original paint with the bronze accent still strongly visible. The paint on the sewing machine itself is good, considering this was the point of all activity and wear. The wood is good; there are no serious problems and only minor normal wear in the typical places. The machine functions but there is not a belt. The whole is equal to the sum of its parts. True for most things but apparently not for Willcox& Gibbs sewing machines. A comparable base alone often sells for well over $300; a comparable machine sells for over $250; and the wood and other components sell for over $100. However. It is well over 100 years old and ... moreI will not be the one to destroy it. A note on"pick up" 17555 is in Lancaster County. PA. It would be OK to make arrangements for pick up anywhere along that corridor. Payment is expected within three days of completion of the auction. This particular model is the modification of Singer 24-1 model that has been patented on April 13 1886 and introduced in 1897 as the Singer's answer to famous Willcox& Gibbs# 64 chain stitch machine that truly dominated the chain stitch sewing machine market since 1870. Those Singer were the only sewing machines in the whole sewing machines history that has been advertised in 4 entirely different categories- as the toy machine.Small travelling machine, family machine and industrial machine. The Singer SMC over the years had over 70 different but very minor variations of this class 24 machine- from 24K-1 to 24-80. This machine is very simple in construction and practically silent in operation and has a single rotating hook similar to W&G# 64 that forms the stitch type invented by James Gibbs(W&G) when he was 24. New England type Antique chain stitch sewing machine.1863-1865 It is really hard to determine the manufacturer's name. The small. Hand-turned, sewing machines were manufactured by at least six companies and possibly more. The listed below Sewing machine companies has been producing the very similarly looking chain stitch machines based on Charles Raymond reciprocating hook patent of July 30 1861. This particular date is found on all machines later manufactured by the inventor himself by Nettleton& Raymond in Brattellboro VT(1859-1866) In 1858 Nettleton and Raymond had moved from Bristol. Connecticut. To Brattleboro. Vermont. Also in Brattleboro at this time were Thomas H. White and Samuel Barker. Who were manufacturing a small machine called the" Brattleboro" White left Vermont in 1862 and went to Orange Massachusetts where ... morein partnership with William Grout he also began to manufacture New England type machines. Those were basically the same as the Raymond machines. After a short time. Grout left the partnership with White and moved to Winchendon Mass, where he continued to make New England machines for about one more year. In 1865. J.G.Folsom of Winchendon Mass began manufacturing his Globe machine. There is no record that New England machines were manufactured after 1865. The names of those machines were"Common sense" Family" even such name as" Improved Common sense" in 1870. That machine is so similar to the New England machines in its feeding, threading, loop forming reciprocating hook mechanism and in general design that it is sometimes mistaken for the earlier New England machines. The"Improved Common Sense" was two inches larger than the England machines and appears that those 2" allowed to make a claim that"Common sense" actually get improved. Well. We could only wish that it would be working in the real life. The Empire Sewing machine Company(later Remington Empire SMC) in S.Somers NY also produced a machine of this particular style but

Singer Class 24-52 Chain stitch antique sewing machine This Singer class 24-52 Chain stitch sewing machine SN# G8251328 has been manufactured at Singer's Elizabethport NJ plant on August 5 1920. That was Singer's answer to the famous Willcox& Gibbs# 64 chain stitch machine that simply dominated the chain stitch sewing machine market since middle 1870th. The Singer Class 24 was the only example in the history of sewing machines that has been advertised in 4 entirely different categories- as the toy machine. Small travelling machine, family machine and industrial machine. And it has been used for the operations of stitching the silk ties and in manufacturing of hats a lot! The Singer SMC over the years had over 70 different(some very minor)variations of this Class 24 machine- from 24K-1 to 24-80. This machine is very simple in construction ... moreand practically silent in operation and has a single rotating looper similar to W& G# 64 that forms the stitch type invented by James E.A. Gibbs(patent on Aug 10 1858) when he was 24. It remains a question why this Singer model has been designated# 24 and short needles to be used with it as# 24-1. This particular machine has the small bronze plate attached to the front below the Singer badge- Rebuilt by Osann Corporation" the manufacturer of sewing machines in NYC. It is indeed makes it a fairly rear model- Osann Singer" and the badge most likely has been attached to machine's body in between 1934-1938. Here is a little necessary history in order to understand a relationship in between Osann and Singer SMC: The Standard SMC( Teller Mnf Co before 1884) has had the license from Frederick Osann SMC to produce"Sewhandy" TSM based on the patent# 1916.860 of R.K.Hoffmann. Who approached F.Osann SMC with the desire to begin a process of manufacturing the machine based on his patent. The Standard SMC assets has been taken over by major stockholder-Frederick Osann Co. On the featured machine the Pressure spring( pic# on the top has the markings"Patented Dec 16 1862" This particular patented improvement is dealing with t he feed-lever"H' carrying the jointed feeding and pressing foot"L" see fig 1& Fig 2 in the attached ... morePatent. The downward pressure upon lever is produced by a spring, to permit it to have an independent upward and downward movement. Between the spring and the cam d there is arranged a pin and a hole for pin to pass freely through. While the needle is in the fabric and the lever is returning with the foot L prior to a new feed-movement, the cam raises the leaf removing the pressure of the spring from the lever and foot, allowing foot to slide freely over the cloth. 1930 WILLCOX & GIBBS ELECTRIC CHAIN-STITCH SEWING MACHINE
1930 WILLCOX& GIBBS ELECTRIC CHAIN STITCH SEWING MACHINE Famous for the beautiful stitch produced on either side of work and ease of removing or locking thread. This late model original machine is in very good working condition and would be excellent save for decorative imperfections. Black enamel chips and some wear of applied gold detailing downgraded quality. Note the serial# pic to see one of the black enamel corner chips. Another near electric motor grease cap. All original rubber parts in remarkably good condition(still pliable! considering its age. Original wiring good throughout and with working lamp. Westinghouse motor also very good with only moderate brush wear and good bearings. Thick by today's standards, the nickel plating is naturally shiny, not polished for photos. Some of the included needles are new and others barely ... moreused. Accessories and tools are as pictured plus a carry case key. Once one learns to thread the machine and finds the 19 or so oiling points marked on the machine and diagrammed in the manual(s) operation is straightforward and can be very fast if desired. Very important for set-up is that the foot pedal cord is what plugs into an AC 115V outlet and the plug from the sewing machine plugs into the foot pedal outlet. These machines were very popular for over 50 years with few changes to the successful basic design. Well made, sturdy with a stowed weight of 32.4 lbs, these were built to last a very long time when oiled and maintained. At this machine's last service, the elderly shop owner told me that W&G machines cost a man-year of Depression Era wages. W&G survived those times only through their industrial product lines but it was the end for this once so popular machine. At this same service, the felt drive-line dampeners as well as the thread spool cushion were replaced for good measure with new felt. The foot controller was also internally reinforced with two additional machine screws to reduce play for more precise control. Electrical contacts in the foot con

Please read the steps that I perform on each machine sold as"Serviced" You don't want to risk buying any"used" machines because there is a risk of exposed electrical wires that can exist in blind spots like in the motor housing or in the pedal. These machines are all-metal construction which means they easily conduct electricity if a short is present. The insulation on the old ... morewires does not hold up in most cases over long periods of time. They become gummy or brittle. All of the machines I sell get inspected for hazardous risks and the wires replaced if necessary. As with all of my serviced machines the following steps have been taken: Motor brushes are cleaned. Inspected and replaced if necessary commutator contacts cleaned and polished motor wires inspected and if necessary replaced from the ends of the coil to the power connector, shafts lubricated exterior cleaned as best I can 10 minute full load burn in test- ensures motor runs strong and does not emit odors or excessive heat tested on a piece of fabric, Guaranteed to work. See my Return Policy below. This direct drive machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. It sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. It was tested on a piece of fabric. The chain stitch is symmetrical on both sides. Here is HD video of this actual machine working. I even made a video showing how to thread this machine: Overall. The machine is in good condition with common signs of use. The paint has some wear and chips. The paint on the top of the motor just left of the chrome band was flaked and touched-up.

1914, SINGER 20, MINIATURE TOY, CHAIN STITCH, SEWING MACHINE, 7 SPOKE HAND WHEEL
THIS IS A 1914. SINGER 20, MINIATURE TOY, CHAIN STITCH, SEWING MACHINE, WITH A 7 SPOKE HAND WHEEL. THIS IS THE FIRST SEWING MACHINE TO HAVE A 7 SPOKE HAND WHEEL. ABOUT THE SINGER 20: When the Singer 20 toy sewing machine was introduced in 1910 it was in a league of its own. Although the Singer 20 was of a simple chain stitch design requiring just 40 components. It was very well engineered with a cast iron body. Compared to other toy sewing machines of its era, and indeed since then until the present, it is far more like a miniature adult machine than a child’s toy. When other manufacturers wanted to enter the same market, many decided to do so with a close copy of the Singer 20. After the end of WW2 several U.K. companies such as Essex. Grain and Vulcan decided to produce toy sewing machines. The first machines from all of these makers very ... moreclosely resemble the Singer 20. The Japanese made Lead(All Lead) machines were produced from 1931 until 1941. These seem to have been even closer replicas of the Singer 20. For collectors there are 4 main versions of the Singer 20 machines. The original Singer 20-1’s were first sold in 1910 with 4 spoke handwheels. In 1914 the second version had an 7 spoked handwheel and had tension discs added. REGARDING THIS MACHINE. IT APPEARS TO BE COMPLETE AND IN WORKING CONDITION. THE WHEEL TURNS SMOOTHLY, THE NEEDLE MOVE UP AND DOWN, WHEN THE WHEEL TURNS. THE FOOT LIFTS UP AND DOWN, WITHOUT A PROBLEM, EVEN THE NEEDLE IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS NOT A BOBBIN IN THE MACHINE, NOR DOES IT HAVE ITS TABLE CLAMP. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT OTHER PIECES IT MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE, SO WE ARE SELL IT AS IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. THERE ARE NO BROKEN PIECES THAT WE CAN VISUALLY SEE. WE CAN SEE NO CHIPS, CRACKS, OR BREAKS. WHEN COMPARING THIS TO OTHER MODEL 20'S, WE WOULD SAY THIS IS A GOOD TO VERY GOOD MACHINE. IT CERTAINLY IS VERY CUTE AND HIGHLY DISPLAYABLE. IT MEASURES 7" HIGH X 7" WIDE X 4" DEEP. THIS MACHINE COULD USE TO BE CLEANED. IT DOES HAVE SOME MINOR RUST ON IT. BUT NO DAMAGE OR

Singer Model 24 Automatic Sewing Machine- Swing Out Motor, Chain Stitch Only
Singer model 24 serial#G4840897. Is in excellent condition! It only stitches chain stitch. Therefore this sewing machine does not require a bobbin. Only an upper thread. I plugged it in and the motor works! The motor uniquely swings out from the machine. It does not have a pedal. When you plug the machine in, the needle automatically goes up and down. I am not sure how to stop it other than to unplug it. It comes with a bent wood case(In its time, the bent wood cases were the most sought after" and a key. It was one of oldest electric portable machines for home. Commercial, and industrial use. It was considered a very reliable and versatile. There are a few websites online where you can find some more information about this sewing machine. I do my best to describe and photograph the product's flaws and strengths. Please take a very ... moregood look at the photos to know exactly what you are purchasing. I do not except returns. Thank you!

Singer Osann Class 24-52 Chain stitch antique sewing machine,1920,rare model
T his Singer Model 24-52 Chain stitch sew ing machine SN# G8251328 has been manufactured at Singer's Elizabethport NJ plant on August 5 1920. That was the Singer's answer to famous Willcox& Gibbs# 64 chain stitch machine that truly dominated the chain stitch sewing machine market since 1870. This was The only sewing machine in the history of sewing machines that has been advertised in 4 entirely different categories- as the toy machine.Small travelling machine, family machine and industrial machine. And it has been used in the hat manufacturing industry a lot! The Singer SMC over the years had over 70 different but very minor variations of this class 24 machine- from 24K-1 to 24-80. This machine is very simple in construction and practically silent in operation and has a single rotating hook similar to W&G# 64 that forms the ... morestitch type invented by James Gibbs(W&G) when he was 24. It remains a question why this model has been designated# 24 and short needles to be used with it# 24-1. This particular machine has the plate attached to the front just below the Singer badge- Rebuilt by Osann Corporation" the manufacturer of sewing machines in NYC. It is indeed a fairly rear model- Osann Singer" and probably has been attached to the machine in manufactured in between 1934-1938. Here is a little necessary history in order to understand a relationship in between Osann and Singer SMC: The Standard SMC(Teller Mnf Co before 1884) has had the license from Frederick Osann SMC to produce"Sewhandy" TSM based on the patent# 1916.860 of R.K.Hoffmann. Who approached F.Osann SMC with the desire to begin a process of manufacturing that machine based on his patent. The Standard SMC assets was taken over by major stockholder Frederick Osann Co F. Osann Co. In turn has been sold out to Singer in 1934. Singer has been keeping their brands separately and has formed a proxy"Osann Corporation" and kept labeling their machines as"Standard" until completely discontinued the line an
