1902 Singer Sewing Machine Model 27 Up for sale is an 1902 Singer Sewing Machine model 27. The serial number is K296389. This sewing machine is fully functional. The motor and foot pedal work flawlessly. It is believed the sewing machine was refinished in the 1940's to match the popular Crinkle/ Blackside Models of the area. Overall the finish is in okay shape. However on the bed there is one chip about half the size of a penny towards the center and two equally sized chips near the front of the bed. Overall I would say the condition is a reasonable 6/10. The machine is fully functional and all internal parts have been oiled and checked for functionality. The case is in poor condition and is missing the control cover on the right of the machine. There are tears in some of the leather and could really use some refinishing. As I am relying on online references to determine this information. Comes with the case, pedal, and the parts and spare bobbin spools shown in the 10th photo. Please note the power cord going to the motor is brittle. Cracked and will need replacement before using. I was careful to keep the bare wires separated to test the unit. And it does run and move the needle up and down. I have no clue how to sew, so that was the extent of my testing. The light does not work. Paint on machine has some wrinkling, especially on the deck. Machine has been tested and functions correctly. This is how a bobbin is wound The machine was test sewn and produced nice stitches. The machines stitch length control is the round knob over the bobbin winder, Turning the knob all the way in increases the stitch length and turning it our reduces the stitch length, The machine can produce stitches from 6-30 stitches per inch. This is what is being offered for auction. The machine head which includes the shuttle and 1 bobbin, The cabinet shown in the above pics is not included, We used that to test sew with the machine Serial number 13301076 dates the machine ... moreto 1895 that make it 118 years old The machine uses standard low shank attachments which is the most common system Singer used for over 150 years and the system which is the most common shank system used today. It is in working condition and came off of an Oak Cabinet with cast iron Treadle machine base. The Oak veneer and some of the wooden aspects of the cabinet were in worn condition but previous. The Cabinet is in Beautiful condition, especially for being a 121 years old. Dates 1892) The machine itself, most of the decals are faded or gone, and some of the black paint has worn off the base, but no rust. It has been cleaned and oiled and runs beautifully. Vintage Singer Sphinx Egyptian Revival Sewing Machine Model 27 Looks Great! Vintage Singer model 27 Sphinx sewing machine in great condition. Serial# on this machine is G9581940. Which dates its manufacture to 1911. There is a bit of wear to the gold decal on the front center edge and on the wing of the sphinx just below where the thread would be placed. In both cases, it is from use. However, the remainder of the design is in great condition and very strong. The bobbin to this machine is not present, but one can easily be obtained. This machine has not be electrified and would operate with a treadle. When moving the wheel, the needle does go up and down, but it could use a bit of lubrication. This is an original antique puzzle box from a Singer Model 27 sewing machine. It comes with the instruction and attachments manual that was with this machine. The puzzle box is not quite complete as you can see and there are some additional bobbins included. The box itself is in good condition. Some scratches which should clean up with some polish. The two manuals are both in rough condition, folded in the center, tears, stains and missing pieces from the covers, still they would make a good resource. Please e-mail with any questions.

The serial number K1207409 dates this machine to 1903. The decal set is known as"Pheasant. While the decals do show some wear. Especially to the border along the back edge and on the back of the pillar, they are still in above-average condition. They are certainly better than what is more commonly found on ebay. The black japanning does have some pits and wear, especially along the front edge, just where you would expect to find it. The nickel plating on this machine is the superstar.original, untouched, clean condition! The bobbin-winding mechanism, both slide plates, the shuttle, all face plates, and even the balance/band wheel retain superb nickel plating! Antique 1903 Singer Sewing Machine Model 27 case/attachments *WORKS RESTORE ME*
Up for auction is an antique 1903 Model 27 Singer Sewing Machine with case. Attached light, 10 sewing attachment pieces, wrench, and vintage 1oz. can of 3-in-1 oil. Serial K1069883 This antique sewing machine was definitely used by its previous owner and has some character. Perfect restoration piece! The sewing machine still works. The item was plugged in. The foot pedal activates the motor and the needle operates as it should. I did not actually sew anything with this machine, in that regard, it is untested. I believe the power cord and possibly the motor have been replaced. I am not a sewing machine collector nor do I know how to repair these machines. Simply based on the look of the cord and motor, it looks to have been replaced sometime in the 50's. Again, I am only speculating. With a working motor and foot pedal, this is a perfect ... morerestoration sewing machine. As for item condition. Please view all photos. The paint is chipped in places, the paint is yellowed, and there is some oil residue surrounding the oiling holes. The outer case is fully intact and quite solid but the cloth covering is missing in places. This is a perfect restoration project or also would be great to display and add to any collection. Beautiful 1898 Singer treadle sewing machine model 27 in cabinet no. 5
This antique sewing machine was ordered to be made by Singer in 1898. The serial number as shown in picture. Is 15167716. The machine has been serviced and is in operational condition and is being sold as is. It is a treadle with a vibrating shuttle which creates a beautiful lock stitch. As you can see in the pictures there is a repair done to the middle drawer. The machine sits on a number 5 cabinet that has been beautifully restored.The treadle parts are cast iron and it has a wood pitman arm on the treadle. This item will be disassembled for shipping or if picked up the item will partially disassembled. You will need to have this item reassembled. Shipping only to the lower 48 states in the USA. Will not ship to P.O. boxes and may take up to 7 days to ship due to the time of disassembly and packing process.

1901 Singer Model 27 Treadle Sewing Machine, 5 Drawer Oak Cabinet, Extras- Works
Offered here is an antique Singer treadle sewing machine. Model 27, with Phoenix decals and an embossed oak 5 drawer cabinet. It is in original and working condition with no damage and and lots of extras. With serial number L1020730 this machine dates to September. 1901. Extras include new needles. Buttons, snaps, hooks, pins, thread, zipper attachment, oil. The treadle belt looks fairly new and the machine does seem to function properly. The paint is all original with dirt from the years and normal use. T here is some wear on the decals. The wood on the cabinet is in very nice shape with a couple very small pieces of veneer loss and the finish shows some age and marks. But is still very presentable, as the pics show. The gold metal handle pulls are fancy and complement the embossed drawers. No dings or repairs are evident. The cast iron ... moretreadle base looks to have the original paint. Is very clean with no paint loss or rust and the metal wheels roll smoothly. It is an estate find and is being sold as found. Meaning I have no records of servicing. A good general cleaning and lubrication of the machine would be a good idea to make sure it is total ly up to par. 1901 Singer Sewing Machine Model 27 Sphinx: cabinet+access incl/no treadle
This is a Singer Sphinx Model 27. Serial number L 969294. According to the Singer website, it was manufactured in 1901. The machine was retrofitted so that the treadle has been removed and had an electric motor/pedal attached. Unfortunately. The motor gave out, but I got a lot of great sewing done on it before the electric components failed. The machine itself is still in great shape. If you wanted to use it, you would just need to install a new motor. I have a bag of what I believe are the original accessories. The cabinet is solid wood and has wear on its finish. The detailing on the machine also shows wear. That said. I got a lot of great use out of it, and it is a very pretty machine- especially the sphinxes! Local pickup in Brooklyn.

This vibrating shuttle VS-3 Model 27 serial# D901843 sewing machine has been produced in the beginning of April 1909 at Singer Elizabethport NJ plant. In 1885 The Singer VS-1(vibrating shuttle) with so-called boat or bullet shuttle has been introduced. The VS-1 was basically a development machine which was quickly replaced by"fiddle base" VS2. I have been collecting antique Singer Treadle machines for many years and this is the only Pheasant design that I have seen, The machine is fully operational and functions very smoothly. The Sphinx decals are in good condition for its age. They only show wear and slight stencil loss on the back side from where the lid rested on it in the down stored position. As you can see in the photos. The plated metal parts have tarnish, not rust, and they should buff out to look new if new owner so chooses. The foot raises and lowers and the shuttle moves back and forth freely. It feeds fabric through okay. I did not thread it and try to sew a stitch with it ... morebut it should sew okay after a good cleaning and oiling. However. I cannot guarantee that it will sew well. Antique Singer Model 27 Sphinx Sewing Machine. Serial# K49337. Machine moving parts operate freely and amoothly and needle goes up and down. I have not sewn with this although I see no reason that it won't. It will need a Shuttle and Bobbin to sew. It has marks. Scratches, checking on the paint and some worn graphics as expected with a 100 plus year old machine. Machine in good working condition. I recently added a few more pictures of the machine. The pulley is a medal spiral wire. Bobbin winder functional. The wood is nice but does have a couple areas showing its age.
