The paint has a semi-shiny appearance with colorful decals. The decals are very good. There is wear around the spool pin with a couple isolated small flakes. The paint has light wear on the deck with some scratches and scattered small nicks. There are some nicks along the front edge and around the bobbin cover. All chrome pieces have a nice, aged look. The bobbin and throat plates have discolored speckles. It comes with 2 original bobbins. The bobbins have record grooves from being machined. Newer bobbins are pressed steel and do not have the grooves. The bobbin case has an 1895 patent date. The bobbin cover has a 1910 patent date. The bobbin winder has been oiled, tested and works. It comes with the original 1913 manual that illustrates this machine. The front 2 and last 2 pages are loose. The manual is otherwise complete with no writing. The pages are somewhat discolored, but easily read. This machine can be treadle cabinet mounted or a motor or hand crank can be added to the boss below the balance wheel and it can used in a portable case. It uses common Singer low ... moreshank attachments. All other Red Eye's had rear clamping feet before the 66-4 was released in 1923. There is no exact date when this change occured. But I have had 66-4's from March or April 1923. The 66 remained a side clamping foot from this point on, but the Red Eye decals were stopped shortly after. Serial number G0281156 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. In December, 2012, I sold G0285208, small world! This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. Antique Singer Sewing Machine Collector Quality 1928, Model 15 Treadle, Electric
This auction is for the sewing machine. Cabinet and wrought iron treadle base. Serial Number is: AC803747 According to the Ismacs. net website, it is a Model 15. Built on September 24, 1929. I was told by another seller that it was built at the Singer Elizabethport Plant in New Jersey. From where did I get"1928" I think it is on the machine itself. But it is in storage, so I cannot check it. So. It is either 1928 or 1929. It has been converted to electric. But can still be used as a treadle sewing machine. It is of collector quality as the paint shows no wear in my opinion. The black and the colorful paint is all nicely in tact and is in close-to-new condition. All parts move freely. And there is only some rust(that I can see) on the underside especially the center shaft. Also. The hand wheel may have slight surface rust. I say ... morethis because my damp cloth had orange on it when I wiped off the hand wheel. Here are the parts needed to complete this beauty: 1. A bobbin case pointing at 1:00 position and bobbin. 2. A sliding bobbin plate. 3. A pedal. 4. A new tire for the bobbin winder as the present one appears to be original and is brittle although still in place. All parts turn easily by hand. Included is a 7-Drawer Treadle Sewing Cabinet with Nice Wrought Iron Base. The wrought iron base has Singer in black. If it originally was gold. Then it was painted. I found it this way. The treadle works perfectly. It will need a belt. These can be shipped in 3 packages. I will bring these pieces unwrapped to The UPS Store or a shipper of your choice. Antique Singer Sewing Machine Collector Quality 1928, Model 15 Treadle, Cabinet
SEE ALL PHOTOS BELOW This auction is for the sewing machine. Cabinet and wrought iron treadle base. Serial Number is: AC803747 According to the Ismacs. net website, it is a Model 15. Built on September 24, 1929. I was told by another seller that it was built at the Singer Elizabethport Plant in New Jersey. From where did I get"1928" I think it is on the machine itself. But it is in storage, so I cannot check it. So. It is either 1928 or 1929. It has been converted to electric. But can still be used as a treadle sewing machine. It is of collector quality as the paint shows no wear in my opinion. The black and the colorful paint is all nicely in tact and is in close-to-new condition. All parts move freely. And there is only some rust(that I can see) on the underside especially the center shaft. Also. The hand wheel may have slight ... moresurface rust. I say this because my damp cloth had orange on it when I wiped off the hand wheel. Here are the parts needed to complete this beauty: 1. A bobbin case pointing at 1:00 position and bobbin. 2. A sliding bobbin plate. 3. A pedal. 4. A new tire for the bobbin winder as the present one appears to be original and is brittle although still in place. All parts turn easily by hand. You are bidding on a 1922 Singer Model 15 Gingerbread/Tiffany sewing machine and cabinet. The Tiffany/Gingerbread stencils are very well preserve and so rich in color that they resemble mother of pearl. The machine is a model 15 with serial number G-9705499. Manufactured in 1922. The cabinet is a rare maple birds eye veneer with carved accents. There are a few places where the veneer has come off and the cabinet does have some scratches. The lower drawer carving and knob are missing but can be easily found on ebay for around $30. One of the caster wheels is not attached to the leg but it is included in the set. The drawers open and close nice, and the machine folds down into the cabinet smoothly and securely. All parts on the sewing machine/foot pedal move freely. I have not tried sewing with the machine, but the lady I purchased it from ... moresaid it was working the last time she used it long ago. Serviced/sew tested/adjusted and restored to a very fine looking& very fine working order. it now looks like one of the nicest 15-1 machines that can be found by searching the Net(as i did for quite a while a few weeks ago) here's more of what i did to improve it: i removed all parts(except the upper shaft/it's ends/the connecting rod& the internal stitch length mechanism) and cleaned/oiled and polished all of them.added a new needle& bobbin(i wound the chrome bobbin by hand on the winder/the winder should work fine with a treadle belt.these bobbins are still made for a commercial machine. a search on Ebay and/or the ... moreNet brings them up) adjusted the timing.cleaned all parts on the sewing head.cleaned the bobbin case(adjusted it) and all parts around it& in this area.repainted the bottom of the machine.and i touched up black paint areas and touched up the front facing Singer lettering on the top of the machine& then i clear coated this part of the machine to protect it and give it a nice glass-like sheen/appearance. i sew tested this machine by tipping it back on it's back edge and turning the hand wheel. this is an uncommon hand painted Singer sewing machine. it's the beginning of Singer's most popular and longest production running machine: the model 15. once again. This machine looks very nice now and it's an extremely smooth operating& very well sewing machine. this machine should weigh around 30 lbs when packaged and ready to ship. look at& study my pictures for more detail& visual information. as always. I clean-up& fix-up beat-up screw heads as i go/as i work through the machine i'm working on. this listing is for a: Beautiful Restored 1921 Singer Model 15-30 Treadle Sewing Machine that sews Excellent Stitches(see my sew test) operates very smoothly(an electric motor or hand crank can be mounted on this machine) the entire machine has been restored to a close to near-new/original looking& working order machine. i replaced the slide plate. Spool pin, bobbin winder tire with new parts. i added a red spool pin felt and a washer under the fabric guide part. this machine is currently set-up to be used as on a Singer treadle base(the 2 set screws that secure the hinges have been cleaned-up and are in their proper places) it can also be turned into a electric motor powered or hand crank powered machine. the fitting area for these possible changes is located under the hand wheel on the vertical column. i removed. Cleaned, polished(where ... moreable) all parts on this machine except: the inner parts of the stitch length lever, the upper shaft(and both of it's end parts) the lower hook shaft. i touched-up maybe 3% of the original decals on this machine. the other 97% or so didn't need it. i repainted all the black paint areas on this machine including the hand wheel, bobbin winder and the underside of the machine. i then protected the upper side and it's parts with 2 coats of gloss polyurethane. some small pin point size air bubbles seem to have been trapped in the last coating. they're not very noticeable at all.but they can be felt by hand.about one every inch or so scattered about the top side of the machine. yeah, i'm still learning and my techniques& skills are still improving as well.fortunately. anyway. This machine sew tested perfectly the first time i tried it(that's the sew in the pictures) without any adjustments anywhere(yeah, i'm good: after i got done putting it back together with great care& very well. as always: the bobbin winder(which works well now) the tension unit, all the part on the sewing head, the hook/bobbin case area& all the drive line parts were com

This machine has been completely restored. it still has some wear marks on metal surfaces and some other small dings(like those on the right side of the winder wheel.i've sanded them.they are only a cosmetic issue) again from above, this machine has 6 extra holes&or threaded screw holes drilled in it. i think this machine had a motor and a light mounted on it. it may also have been secured to a table or something through ... morethese extra holes as well. they are not very noticeable to me.and they may be useful for someone else as well. this machine has 3 patent dates on it's slide plate: MAY 1 1894. APRIL 7 1896. FEB 21 1899. as always: the bobbin winder. The tension unit, all the part on the sewing head, the hook/bobbin case area& all the parts on the underside of the machine were completely disassembled cleaned, oiled where needed, reassembled& adjusted. the 2 set screws, that hold the missing cabinet hinges for this sewing machine in place, are on this machine. they have been cleaned as well& are in their proper places. the bobbin winder shaft is adjustable(the diameter can be spread or closed more to keep the bobbin from spinning& to allow modern class 15 bobbins to fit on it.currently it's a little wide/tight for modern class 15s.but it fits the original class 15 bobbin on this machine just right)i painted over& clear-coated the details that were on the belt guard. so overall. This is a very fine sewing and very nicel looking sewing machine. it's a machine with an all metal drive-line that is semi-industrial and designed by Singer for home/family use. this machine c

this listing is for a: nicely Restored 1914 Singer"Tiffany"or"Gingerbread" decals Model 15-30 Treadle Sewing Machine that Sews Very Well(see my sew test) this machine is hand crank and/or electric motor compatible(it has the screw hole& mounting area for these add-ons under the hand wheel) this machine operates very smoothly and sews very well. it sews very straight stitches. the feed dogs can be dropped all the way down below the needle plate for free motion sewing& the like. i added a new red spool pin felt. A new#90 needle& rubber tire on the bobbin winder wheel. this machine has a patent date on it's slide plate that reads: PATENTED USA JUNE 14- 1910. all the parts on this machine were removed/cleaned/polished/adjusted/improved and such where applicable except the upper shaft(and i's ends) The inner ... morepart for the stitch length knob, the connecting rod for the feed dogs between the upper shaft and lower parts, the feed dog itself(these parts were only cleaned& oiled if needed) the underside of the machine was cleaned and repainted gloss black(some areas twice) then coated twice with gloss polyurethane. the upper side, the belt guard& the hand wheel were all repainted with gloss black paint(some areas twice) and then given up to 4 coats of gloss polyurethane. this machine comes with it's original treadle hinges set screws. they are cleaned and in their proper places. this machine does not have the hinges. as always: the bobbin winder. The tension unit, all the part on the sewing head, the hook/bobbin case area& all the parts on the underside of the machine were completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, oiled where needed, sanded/filed where needed, reassembled& adjusted. the original bobbin was already wound well with black thread. so i used it in my sew test. i tested both bobbins on the winder and it's working very well now. overall. This is a very fine sewing and very nice looking sewing machine. it's a machine with an all steel drive-line
