Antique Hand Crank Sewing Machine with box key Ser. # 469949 Transverse shuttle
This turn of the century sewing machine uses a Transverse shuttle bobbin which is shaped like a boat in design. Transverse shuttles carry the bobbin in a boat-shaped shuttle. And reciprocate the shuttle along a straight horizontal shaft. You are able to see all the parts that are supplied with this sewing machine by viewing the photos. The hand crank is smooth and rotates the machine in a continuous motion. The needle moves up and down and no binding or scrapping detected when I was cranking the machine. I have no idea how to install the boat(bobbin) in this machine, therefor I can not state that it will actually sew. There are a few pieces of loose veneer on the cabinet, some scratches, scuffs and its cover but overall in good shape. The key locking the cover to the base does work and unlocks the top portion from the base. There is quite ... morea bit of"inlay" wood on the surface of the cabinet and base as you can see when viewing the photos. The ruler along the table is actually marked off in inches and centimeters. I did engage the bobbin winder while I was cranking the machine and it did start to run, there was no boat in the bobbin winder as I have no idea how to install it. It was nice to see the bobbin winding assembly working. I have glued the top of the cabinet(part holding the handle) to the top of the cabinet and it came out well but would not recommend carrying the sewing machine from the top handle but grasp it from the bottom. It weighs 17kg and it could let go and crash to the floor. This unit is being sold"as is" condition. This is a beautiful Antique 1886 Willcox Gibbs sewing machine. Ser. No. A440649 that I have restored. All old paint was removed and repainted with black paint and after new decals where put on it was sprayed with clear to seal and protect the new decals. All parts where cleaned and inspected and found in very good condition. The nickel plated parts where polished. It sews a good stitch and works easy.

Antique Singer Sewing Machine. Serial# G 6.969,078 indicates this machine was made in 1919. The power cord was cut and needs to be repaired. It appears that all parts are there with the exception of the light bulb- at least to the best of my knowledge.Belt operated with a Dayton AC-DC series motor model 2M033. Not much gold filigree design, but still a very nice vintage machine to restore. It probably was a table model at one time. Packaged securely and very heavy. If you have any questions. Machine head has the Red Eye decal package and it is still very bright and colorful. Some areas of wear. Needs a good cleaning. Art Nouveau carving around each of the six drawer knobs and both sides on this cabinet. Fine bead molding on the center drawer. The center pull out drawer is fitted with 3 compartments. THE MACHINE COULD HAVE BEEN FOR COLLARS OR CUFFS? IT MEASURES APPROX. 10 1/2" LONG OVERALL. IT'S DEFINITELY A PRO GRADE INDUSTRIAL MACHINE. IT'S A HEAVY LITTLE SUCKER& IT'S BUILT LIKE A TANK. THE MACHINE IS NOT ROTTED, RUSTED OUT, BENT UP, DENTED UP, CRACKED OR CHOPPED UP. IS ANYONE KNOWS THE EXACT MODEL OF THIS MACHINE, PLEASE ADVISE ME.
