Singer 1923 Antique Redeye Model 66 Parlor Cabinet Treadle Sewing Machine
Machine runs smoothly by spinning the lower wheel by hand. I do not have the rhythm to actually pump the treadle. I have oiled some points on it. The cabinet is as found. No refinishing has been attempted Top has water damage causing veneer to separate. Top also missing a 4 1/2 X 5/8 inch piece of veneer on top front right-hand corner. Drawers work smoothly and do not bind. It has been in my living room for 30+ years. Also included is a manual- missing front and back covers and pages 1 and 2. Pages 3.4,5,6, 35, 36, 37, 38 are loose and very tattered. pages 7 thru 18 are paired with 23 thru 34. Missing pages 19 thru 22. Also included are some attachments or parts of attachments. Using the manual as a guide, I see a foot hemmer, an adjustable hemmer, and a ruffler( the item or parts of the item)

This is an Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Head. Model 15-30 with Tiffany decals. Serial number G0225272 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. It is now 100% functional! The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. It sewed 6 layers of denim with ease. The stitch is equal on both sides. Here is HD video of this actual machine working. PLEASE NOTE: The wood stand supporting the machine and the hand crank in the video are NOT INCLUDED and are NOT FOR SALE. They are for demonstration purposes only! It comes with 2 bobbins. The bobbin winder has a new rubber wheel. It has been oiled. Tested and works. Overall. The paint has a semi-shiny appearance. The decals are almost ... morecomplete with good colors. There is some wear in front of the needle and at the spool pin. There are also some scratches and nicks from use. The deck has chips in the paint along the front edge. There are also some scattered small chips in other places with wear around the throat plate. The decals are slightly darker on the backside. All chrome pieces look good, but the bobbin winder, needle clamp and thread tension are darker than others. The nose and round plates are in good condition with some discoloration and are a little dark deep in the grooves. The throat plate and bobbin cover have some wear. There is no manual. The info on the metal tag on the machine: Singer- Cat. No RF 5-8- S.S. AU 52-35-1- Volts 110-120- AMP 0.80-Simanco- Made in the USA The machine has been tested(though I am not certain I threaded it correctly) It works great. But could probably use a basic tune up. It is heavy, weighing 40 pounds in the case.

This is a model 99 BT7 knee bar machine that runs great. EXCELLENT original condition with excellent strong graphics. Nice original wood case also in excellent condition. No damage to the case other than super minor light scratched. This has been very well cared for. Black paint is very glossy with strong decals. Only one small chipped area at the bottom corner on the deck. Runs quiet and smooth as you would expect. No vibration or unusual sounds. Original wiring in very good condition. Original lamp works great and has bright shiny chrome. Black cloth wire in good condition with the original plug. Knee bar controls the speed wonderfully and very precisely. The serial number on the machine ... moretag in the front reads: G0344842 and the serial number on the motor reads 2123471A. The rubber belt bands look to be in very good shape. Comes with original knee bar. 1923 ANTIQUE SINGER PARLOR TREADLE SEWING MACHINE WITH ORIGINAL OAK CABINET
Please see my other listings as I have another Singer Treadle Machine in its original cabinet for sale* Here is a Singer Parlor Treadle Sewing Machine from 1923 that comes in its original oak cabinet. The serial number is G0089501(checking Singer's website. This serial number dates the machine to 1923) I am not that familiar with treadle sewing machines so I will describe this beautiful piece of Americana to you to the best of my ability: The coloring and writing on the machine is fairly strong although there are areas of staining and fading as well as scratch marks and other wear(on the hardware also) The needle moves up and down when you turn the balance wheel and it seems most of the parts of the machine are still in tact(although the bed slide is missing) The machine appears to have converted at some point to electric as there is ... morea very old and frayed piece of electrical cord cut off at the back of the machine. There is also a light attachment with the original cord. The treadle does work(although a little tight at times) and has a belt attached from the band wheel to the machine. The oak cabinet measures approximately 24" wide x 29" high x 18" deep and is clean with no major chips or cracks in the wood. The top of the cabinet is a very interesting design as it is made up of numerous small wooden slats. There are some missing slats on the left side. The finish has faded over the years but the wood is still strong. There are 4 metal wheels that still work great allowing you to move the machine easily. There is also a neat drawer inside the cabinet that still has the original hardware with a small key to open and close it and it slides in and out nicely. It seems this machine may still be functional but if not it is still a beautiful item that would display nicely in your home. They look pretty cool. It appears that most of the attachments are specific to this machine(they have the same look) and I tested some of the extra foot attachments and they did fit, but the metal bobbin appears to be a more modern version. The sewing machine itself is in remarkable cosmetic condition. The colors are bright and vivid. The treadle works great. Please note that as I was attempting to sew with the machine the thread kept coming out of the needle. I'm not sure. But it could be just that the tension needs to be adjusted or I didn't thread it properly. Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with all the knobs and loops on the machine so unsure as to the thread tension and threading. The cabinet, which has caster wheels, has normal wear and imperfections to the finish being that it's antique. It has a small missing wooden piece on the back side. The sewing machine parts do move when I turn the wheel and the foot can be raised and lowered. That is the extent of my tests and the machine will need adjustments and parts such as a slide plate. Up for bid is this antique Singer Sewing Machine. After speaking with Singer I found out that this particular sewing machine was made in 1923 and it is a model 128. I plugged in the sewing machine and the sewing machine moves but the speed varies. That is the only testing that has been completed. It may need a little work to it to be fully operational. As you can see from the photos the sewing machine is a little worn. Some of the paint has rubbed off and there are a few areas where it has chipped off. It is a pretty old machine. All I can say is that the treadle does work and the needle goes up and down. I think a minor repair will put it back into working order. It has NOT been abused. You can tell by the great condition of the surface of the machine. The decals and the condition of the cabinet that that it was well taken care of. But the old belt broke, obviously because of it’s 85 years old. The wood cabinet is the swing type(very uncommon) and has an interior shelf and locking drawer. The drawer locks and has a key. Included with this antique sewing machine are several attachments and bobbins that were in the lockable drawer inside the cabinet. A COPY of the original manual is also included. This is not the original manual from 1923. But a copy that was copied off of the Singer Sewing Machine website, as per their direction. This is a beautiful sewing machine. It can be repaired and used. The sewing machine can be taken out of the cabinet and be displayed so others can admire the terrific bold“red eye” graphic design. The machine can be left as is.
