Antique singer sewing machine for parts or restore, steampunk art repurpose cool
This is a cool antique Singer sewing machine. From what I could find out this particular model was made from 1904-1927. I believe that the one I have here is a 1905-1907 model due to the fact that the liver scrollwork on the front and side plates is very ornate and got simpler on the new machines. As far as I can tell the only thing missing is one of the metal covers on the base by the moving parts(see pics 1-2) this has a lot of good parts for restore or just a cool decoration piece. the gold emblem in pic there alone is worth almost 20 dollars. feel free to ask any questions and happy bidding! Up for auction is an antique 1903 Model 27 Singer Sewing Machine with case. Attached light, 10 sewing attachment pieces, wrench, and vintage 1oz. can of 3-in-1 oil. Serial K1069883 This antique sewing machine was definitely used by its previous owner and has some character. Perfect restoration piece! The sewing machine still works. The item was plugged in. The foot pedal activates the motor and the needle operates as it should. I did not actually sew anything with this machine, in that regard, it is untested. I believe the power cord and possibly the motor have been replaced. I am not a sewing machine collector nor do I know how to repair these machines. Simply based on the look of the cord and motor, it looks to have been replaced sometime in the 50's. Again, I am only speculating. With a working motor and foot pedal, this is a perfect ... morerestoration sewing machine. As for item condition. Please view all photos. The paint is chipped in places, the paint is yellowed, and there is some oil residue surrounding the oiling holes. So they've seen a little wear over time. Boxes are still put together solid though and very strong. There's a little gouge around where the lock grabs the drawer in the first picture. As found with some scratches and a very worn electrical cord that as can be seen needs to be replaced so I couldn't try it but it moves nice and smooth. Great candidate for restoration or parts. Once the old cord is replaced and the missing belt attached I can see no reason why it won't work as it should. I have no key for the lid but a small screwdriver works just fine. Pretty much selling for a restore project and saving from scrapyard. Where the belt goes the big Philly it will come off seems to be missing a bolt. No noticeable damage there. Up for bids and with no reserve is an antique Standard brand treadle type sewing machine in completely original as found condition. The last patent date on the name plate is December 20 1904 everything moves freely but I don't know much about these machines so please ask if there is something specific you want to know. Overall it looks well used but seems complete and still has the last spool of thread sitting on it. Definitely will clean up better than it shows and is a nice piece of antique vintage machinery for a restoration or parts.
