Early German Childs Toy Sewing Machine, Super Condition, Great Stenciling
You're bidding on an estate fresh German toy sewing machine. The toy is in wonderful original condition. The machine measures 7 1/2" long. 7 1/4" high, and 4 1/2" wide. As you can see the stenciling is super. The one flaw is the drip of the original japan finish used to coat the piece after the paint and stenciling were put on. Sweet Little Singer This is a wonderful old miniature Singer cast iron sewing machine. A diminutive"Model 20" from the late 1920s to 1930s. These were made and marketed as a child's first sewing machine and were also useful for travel. This model, with oval pedestal and wood knob, is in very nice condition. Though could use a cleaning and oiling. The mechanism turns smoothly and the needle and parts appear to move as designed. I have not tested it with thread and fabric. There are some light scuffs and dings- nothing major- and just a bit of surface rust that a cleaning would take care of. The spool pin was missing so I purchased a replacement and I will also include new spool felts and needle. The fabric guide is missing but it's not a necessity and replacements are available. Muller #1 German pre WWI miniature childs toy sewing machine
Up for bid is a nice Muller#1 childs toy sewing machine. It was made between 1895-1914 by the FW Muller company in Berlin. Germany. The machine has the front crank and has feed dogs to transport the fabric through the machine. It is missing the spool tension spring& nut, thread guides and the original needle. There is however a needle in the machine and it turns and advances the fabric. I believe the number on the plate is 119486. It has the thread route numbering system. Which makes it easy to use. Crank or treadle sewing machines like these are nearly indestructible. This machine has no bobbin. It creates a chain stitch. The Singer model 20 was made at the Elizabeth factory in New Jersey. USA, and was originally sold as a toy. First appearing around 1910 some 60 years after Isaac Merritt Singer founded the great Singer Manufacturing Company. Early Singer toy sewing machines were clearly aimed at the child market however later Singer toy sewing machines were sold as adult light portable machines as well ... moreas toys. This was probably to gain a foothold into the larger market of full-sized machines. In the 1950’s Singers resurrected the model in the late 1970’s for a short period. These models were manufactured in Turkey by Singer and are original Singer toy sewing machines built to a high specification. These models are now highly collectible because of the limited numbers and were simply called Singer k20 rather than Singer 20k. The machine comes with the original box and clamp to attach it to a table. The machine measures 7 1/8" wide. 6.5" high, and 3.5" in depth. The box measures 8.5" tall. 8.5" long, and 4.25" wide. Vintage Singer Toy/Childs Model Sewing Machine-Model 20 - Dates 1914-1925
Singer Model 20 Child's Sewing Machine 1914-1925 What a great estate find. I had fun doing the research on this one. This machine was first introduced in 1910 as a childs sewing machine. It was built and functions as a true machine. It is cast iron and metal and is meant to be clamped to a table to keep it steady while hand cranking. This version dates between 1914 and 1925. After 1925. They had stamped numbers on the thread path. I have a print out for the thread path( will include) These machines were intended for use by children to learn to sew. They stitch a chain stitch. there is no bobbin. There is a hook mechanism that catches the thread as the fabric moves forward. There is a stitch length adjustment as well. I cleaned this up a little. I know that more of the crud can be removed with solvents on the metal parts. I sewed a few ... moresamples with it and it really does a good job. Because it is a chain stitch. It can be easily removed. The clamp in the picture is not original.it is from my toolbox. I will include it because this tiny machine need to be anchored to the table in order to clamp it. There is plenty of info on line regarding threading and using this great little machine. I hope that the pictures tell all you need to know.let me know if you need more. Antique Singer Model 20-2 Child's Miniature Toy Chain Stitch Sewing Machine. Ca.1914. This is the model with the added tension discs and 7-spoke handwheel but without the numbered thread path. The machine works smoothly. There is some enamel loss where the machine would get clamped. The rest of the enamel is nearly flawless. The decals are very crisp and legible. The nickel plating has been well retained with only minor loss; mostly needs a polish. Lovely green felt pad under the base. Excellent condition.

Beautiful Rare Plank Childs Toy Sewing Machine from Germany - near mint
I'm doing a little thinning of my toy sewing machine collection and offering this really outstanding antique child's toy sewing machine. The only reason I'm selling this one is that I found one with the same decals in equally good condition but it has a wood base so I decided to let this one go. The paint and decals on this machine are near perfect. It was made by the Ernst Plank company in German in the 1920s. It's minor flaws are a missing nut from the top of the spool pin but it has the spring and disc. There is a small scratch and a little rough spot on the chrome of the sewing plate. And a little discoloration of the metal spool pin. The hand wheel turns smoothly. A person could search for years and never find another Plank machine in this great condition. This is a vintage 1914- 8 spoke Singer Sewing machine. This machine is made of cast metal. Has the seam gauge and needle. The spool pin is missing. This early model did not come with the route numbering for threading the machine. There is some paint loss on the word"Singer" on the front and also some paint loss on the word"Singer" on the back. The Singer logo is painted in gold on the back of the machine and is intact. There is some paint loss on the base where the clamp sits to clamp it to the table. This model has the oval base and did not come with felt on the bottom. Please see photos for condition. Above average used condition. this is from Casige's Storybook series. shows a cat holding a plate of pancakes on one side and a bear riding a bicycle on the other side. Toy in very bright condition. paint bright and nearly perfect. decals in very good bright condition also nearly perfect. nickel plate excellent except for the end cover which has some chipped nickel. shown in several photos. I think I'd leave this alone since it doesn't detract from the toy. However you could polish all of that area to remove the chipped nickel. Overall a very bright strong C7, hard to find toy IMHO. A well-known German toy maker decorated most of his TSM's using stencil painting. this example is quite nice, with nearly complete paint and stencils. needle and clamp are missing, no box. but the iconic Plank logo emblem is attached to the base and is in very good condition. Plank produced toy sewing machines for only a short period of time so good examples are hard to find. It has it's looper. The nickel parts need polishing but I'll leave that up to you. F. W. Mueller Antique Child's Sewing Machine ~MADE IN GERMANY~ This style of Mueller"Bird of Paradise" Toy Sewing Machine was designed and produced in Germany around 1910. It became a popular toy machine with children and adults because of the colorful designs on the body. This model continued being manufactured until 1939. The beginning of WWII. From researching other Mueller machines, I believe this machine dates to around 1915-1920? The machine features a sturdy metal(referred to in Mueller descriptions as"sheet iron" base and body decorated with birds amid a colorful floral motif of red, greens, and gold. Shows wear and rust with loss of detail& color overall-mostly on the front. All the necessary parts seem to be attached and move as intended. The crank wheel has a wooden knob that turns(a bit stiffly) Moving ... morethe needle holder up and down. No needle is included. A working lever even raises and lowers the presser foot. The thread spindle still holds an old spool of thread. I haven't tested the machine to see if it works. But I t hink all the parts are present but may just need some adjusting. Vintage Singer #20 Childs Toy Small Electric Sewing Machine WORKING
Up for auction is this model 20 Singer child’s electric sewing machine. It is still in great condition and the motor works well. The only thing it needs is a new drive belt. The machine weighs 5 ¼ pounds and measures 7 ½” high. 6” wide and 6” deep. It has an on/off button in the front of the machine. There is a printed#5 on the top of the machine near the front and an engraved#3 on the top near the rear of the machine. The cord is still soft and flexible but should be checked by an electrician to ensure it is still safe. Please see the pictures for condition and email me with questions. This toy is in very good condition for being over 100 years old. The nickel plating is shiny and the paint is bright and shiny also with just a few minor blemishes. The machine comes with the original clamp and box. The box was missing the bottom and has a couple off tears in the card board(I replaced the missing bottom) The machine is missing the crank knob as a lot of this model do because the knob must be removed to put machine in the box. Vintage Iron Miniature Singer Hand Crank Sewing Machine Childs Toy
This is an antique Singer hand crank childs sewing machine. It measures apx 6" to the top of the iron frame and 7" from end of handle to edge of fabric plate. The wheel turns smoothly. The needle moves up and down, and the piece under fabric plate goes around easily. It has been repainted and no longer has Singer decals. There is an extra large wheel and all wheel teeth are there.
