c1870 VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE HAT RACK WALKING STICK CANE UMBRELLA STAND
Just acquired out of a wonderful. Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. There are a total of 9 very fancy large cast iron hooks which are ... moreall original to the hall tree. I even believe that the mirror is possibly original as well, with only some minor discoloration to the silvering. It has the original removeable bottom tray to rest your canes and umbrellas. The tray is signed ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ on the bottom as well as signed on the back of the hall tree ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ The over all condition is very nice with the exception of one broken hook on the bottom tier of cane rests- see picture# 11. It is actually not all that easy to tell because it is an inside hook. There is also one hook on the center column near the figural Lion's Head which has some damage. All of the large eight cast iron hooks on the top two sections are in perfect condition with no damage! The entire body and base is in perfect condition as well, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The patina to the cast iron is all original and we left it in 100% all original, as found, untouched condition. This would make a wonderful addition to any grand foyer entrance or a wonderful piece to display some of your prixed walking sticks or Victorian umbrellas and hats. Incredible Victorian Cast Iron And Leather Umbrella Stand In Shape Of Umbrella
This a great find from an estate we just acquired.It is an umbrella stand that has a cast iron base and shaft which has a ball representing the handle of an umbrella.The shaft is surrounded with hand sewn heavy leather crafted as 5 folds to hold umbrellas.It is 28.5" tall overall. Has a width of 14"across the top,and the cast iron base is 5" across.In researching this form I have found similar examples in decorated metal mostly recent vintage. I have not found a similar example. Best Gilded Library Book Bible Music Stand Cast Iron Oak Victorian Pat. 1895
Although I have only come across a few of these stands over the years. This one is BY FAR the best one I have owned. As it is presently configured. This book/music stands measures 44 inches tall and is a 16 x 16 inches at the foot. The finish is the original gilded finish. Which has a warm rich patina and is mostly complete. Of course there are areas that have worn more than others over the years, just a testament to a previously used and loved item. I believe the two quarter-sawn oak tablets at the top have been refinished at some point in the past and each presents very well. One could say striking in appearance. The legs have an ornate incised design running down each leg. And each leg does have the original metal caster at the bottom. Very easy to roll on a hard surface. In the center is a cast iron“basket” Complete and free from any ... morebreaks or repairs, retains most of the original finish and is a nice decorative element that also doubles as a storage area for addition books or sheet music. The center pole can be adjusted for height. And the angle of the wood tablets can also be adjusted. The mechanism underneath has a patent date of 1895, and is complete, free of any repairs and retains original authentic patina. One will notice a partial label underneath one of the oak tablets. I will leave this on, and let the winning bidder decide whether to remove or not. Absolutely a striking item. For the most discerning of buyers.

Victorian Adjustable Book Or Bible Stand Cast Iron And Wood
Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian cast iron and wood bookstand. All the parts are here. Many I've seen have casters or at least the legs taper into what look like a part that would go into a caster. These legs do not have that feature. The right side wooden leaf has a crack running the length of it. This was my aunt's and she always loved to display her gigantic old dictionary. She passed away a few years ago and I'm finally down to parting with it. I can't provide a maker on this or an actual date of production. I've merely compared it to some I've seen here on eBay. This is what I believe to be a Vintage Victorian hat stand. I found this with my mother's collection of antique dresses and hats. The base appears to be cast iron. For your bidding consideration in this auction is an Antique. Cast Iron& Wood Music/ Bible/ Book Stand. This is a recent Estate Acquisition in overall fabulous condition. The stand is a beautiful Victorian style and made by L.W. Noyes Aermotor Co. Mr. Noyes founded the Aermotor Company in Chicago in 1888 so my estimate is that this piece, with beautiful arched legs. Wooden caster wheels and Heart of Pine wood(very rarely used today as this was only found in virgin timber) was made circa 1890. The Stand has adjusting areas for angle of the book table as well as allowing it to swivel 360 degrees. The table top/ work surface can rest perfectly flat or adjusted to almost a 90 degree angle. The arched Legs drop down to the wooden caster wheels which are 16" apart. The wood book table is basically 2 parts- each is kept in place by a cast ... moreiron locking handle. When the handle is released, the 2 parts, due to the heavy spring action, fold easily up and together for storage. The top section is removable from the stand for shipping. The stand would serve as a decorative element-it is circa mid-to-late 1800s in the Arts& Crafts period& design with raised relief deep inset iron scroll work. A central twisted-trellis iron rod, and a twisted iron ring finial at top which is lovely and quite large. The iron finial twists onto top threaded rod-see close-up pic provided of this area-there is a nut or iron washer-or something of that nature missing/absent as there is a space between the finial and the end of the rod where you can see threads-the finial fits on well but a washer or something similar would make up the space and cover the exposed threads-please see pics provided of this feature described. The central rod which is ... morelovely twisted cast iron like a trellis fits into and screws into the base which is original to the rod(see pics) Not bent-it is straight-tight-and intact. Portable Rolling Antique Cast Iron Music Bible Stand Breaks Down Easy Victorian
Hello and thank you for looking. This is an antique music or book stand made of cast iron. Metal and wood. It is in very nice working condition. It breaks down easily and is fully adjustable. It come on wheels or casters which also work well. There is a nut on the bottom which when unscrewed allow for the four legs to come off. I have been able to use all of the adjustments accept the one that moves the unit up and down. That finger screw is tight and I don't want to force it. I see no reason why it wouldn't work given time and patience. This stand has been well cared for and displayed for many years but it is used and there are some marks. There is also a spot under the ledge on one side of the wood that has the remnants of an old sticker or mark of some kind. I was told this was a Victorian piece but I am no expert and really do ... moreno know its age. It looks very nice in the corner of my den. This is for a great looking 1890's Victorian cast iron with oak wood book stand. Marked and made by Noyes 6. Aermotor Co. Chicago. Many of these were used by the distributor of Aermotor windmills for their sales and parts catalog. This is in nice original condition. The wood portion is oak. Original gold colored finish to the cast iron. No damage or repairs to the nice fragile cast iron. Everything function properly. Has the original castors. The lower marked part turns to allow for the adjustment for the height of this stand. The legs when spread out has a course thread and the marked piece turns on that acting as a nut to tighten the stand. This will be disassembled for shipping purposes. Winner pays UPS shipping

Wonderful antique Victorian cast iron and walnut bible/book stand for your consideration. These are much harder to find in walnut. The stand is completely portable and breaks down in seconds. All adjustments are easy to make and work like it was made yesterday. All pictures were taken before cleaning just after I found it in a barn here in Amherst. NH. Barn dates from the late 1700s and the homestead was once owned by a man of the cloth adding a little nostalgia to the piece. Will make a wonderful addition to any decor from primitives to industrial and steampunk. I've had a few of these in the past and this by far is nicest fully working example I've found. Antique Cast Iron and Wood Library Book Stand Geo Flanagan Chicago. Illinois Spider leg and bat wing We are very pleased to offer a wonderful cast iron book stand by George Flanagan. Chicago, Ill. This turn of the century book stand is a wonderful example of the industrial age of Chicago. The stand has its original wood casters and bat wing book leaves. The graceful spider legs clamp the adjustable stand with a locking counterbalance-extra shelf bearing the makers name. The unique bat wing stand uses cast iron and maple spring loaded leaves that can be adjusted for the thickness of the book up to about 24" from wing to wing. the height of the stand can go from 20" to about 35" The base of the legs are 15" from leg to adjacent leg. It dates circa 1899( Victorian/Edwardian) and is still fully functional! This graceful stand ... morewould make a great addition to any personal library or steampunk collection. Condition: The stand does have chipping paint on the adjustable center tube. The maple bat wing leaves do have checking and drying cracks but are strong and stable. The screws attaching the wood were replaced at some point and need to be replaced so the wood will snug up to the iron as they wiggle a little as attached now. I have not replaced them as we offer our items as we found it and we do not alter or restore our items. It should have 5 screws on each wing but now there are only 3. The locking mechanism on the width adjuster needs to be loosened up but again we leave that to the buyer. The wheels. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY; A VERY RARE PIECE HAS ORNATE DESIGNS ON THE LEGS AND ADJUSTS TO APPROXIMATE 46 INCHES HIGH AND LOWERS TO APPROXIMATELY 34 INCHES IN HEIGHT.
