Art Deco Style Oak Ball & Stick Coat/Hat & Umbrella Stand With Brass Hardware
We are pleased to offer this funky coat rack. This is done in the art deco style. There are no tags with a maker on this piece. We believe this is from the mid to late 40's possibly early 50's. The rack stands 62.56" high. The top has round balls for hanging hats. The balls are attached to three stick style wooden posts that end with matching ball feet. Near the top of the rack there is a large ball in the center of the tripod that holds the piece together. There are three hooks with backplates screwed through the poles and into the ball. The sides of the posts have brass hooks with decorative round scallop edge button backs. These are the pieces that run through the posts into the ball. Three quarters of the way down the rack there are hooks on each pole to hold a chain for the umbrella tray. This section of chain is missing. ... moreThere is a second row of hooks with chains attached to the base plate closer to the bottom. The umbrella plate sits at the base of the tripod. It is made from wood and has carvings and decorative brass accents on the outer rim. There are chains attched to the sides that connect to the hooks on the poles. This is a very fine solid oak hat stand that is handmade with no nails or fasteners. It measures 13" wide and is 7-3/4" deep. The holder portion is carefully crafted out of oak and is made from two solid pieces of wood that are joined at an angle in the center to create a simple yet elegant symmetrical appearance. There is an indented brim receiver that is attached to the main portion by two turned dowels that are flattened on the bottom that also has an extra protrusion to keep the hat from slipping off the stand. The fork is carefully and neatly mortised into its base and there are no tacks or nails. The inner diameter of the stand between the forks is 11" The stand retains its original finish and has a beautiful dark patina. Finish is nearly perfect. There are no chips or dings in the wood. Antique oak coat rack with 4 cast iron coat hooks. This coat rack has its original finish and original wood dowels threaded through the cast iron hooks. All four hooks are secured tightly to the oak board. The rack measures 25 1/2' X 3 1/4' The hooks protrude 6 3/4' from the rack. The top wood dowel is split at the end while the bottom dowel goes the entire length of the rack. 1886 Antique Oak Wall Criss Cross Mission-Style Hat & Coat Rack
This is an antique coat. Glove and hat rack. It is stamped on the back and carved into the wood on the back"MAR 31, 1885& SEPT 14, 1886" It is approximately 32" wide, 20" high and 9" deep. I think that the wood is oak. It is in good condition for its age. The metal brackets are intact and have just a little surface rust. The mirror is foggy due to age and the material that it is made of. There are hooks attached to it for hanging. I love this item! It is very unusual. This item comes from a smoke/pet free home. Here is a hard-to-find old wall rack for hats and coats. These were used on trains and train stations. In offices and banks and other commercial places. Today. We want them for our homes. This one measures 31" long and the hooks come out almost 7" from the wall. The hooks are in great shape with no cracks or breaks. The back board is oak and is original. It is stamped"Udell's hat& Coat Rack Udell's W W Works Indianapolis" on the back. The back board has been painted black. Has a crack and several mounting holes drilled into it. The hat rack dowel is pine and has a small split in each end where they put the mounting screw in. Not a perfect piece but will work perfectly and at a great price.

for sale is a very nice and unusual hanging hall or wall mirror. it is quartersawn oak with inlaid designs of leaves and buds etc. very nicely done. it has what appears to be the original beveled mirror that is in very good condition. it has 4 original hat or coat hooks that are in great shape. the side wooden supports have carvings at the top and bottom. it appears as if it is original finish. it has a wire installed to hang it with. the mirror frame is 40 inches wide and 32.5 inches tall. the mirror itself is 23.5 by 19.5. Probably removed it would be 20 by 24 inches. i am starting it at what i paid like 15 years ago. i expect it can be shipped via post office for about 80.00. the hooks would need to be removed and shipped in a separate box. the shipping cost is the buyers expense. good luck

Antique oak hall tree hat coat rack stand. It has hand turned carved pole at the center with oak ball finials at the top and bottom. The base has 4 splayed legs. Measures 66 1/4" high; the base legs are 23" across or 16" measured squared. The top has 5 of the 6 oak posts. 1 post is missing but should be easy to improvise a replacement. Antique Victorian Solid Oak Framed Oval Beveled Mirrored Wall Hall Hat Rack Tree
This is a fantastic original Victorian mirrored hat rack with heavy solid oak frame and beveled oval mirror in the center. It is in very good condition overall. But the large curvy arms on the top two hooks have been removed, leaving just the two smaller hooks on each side of the top. They are fully functional and still attractive as-is, and unless closely inspected, look like they were made that way. All four hooks are intact on both sides of the bottom. The oak frame has a rich dark color and bold grain. All joints are tight and the frame is solid and sturdy. The mirror has some light streakiness and cloudiness, but images still look clear throughout. There is an area of missing silver(shown in the photos) where a piece of the original wood back panel is missing and the silver got scraped off. Offered for auction is this beautiful Victorian era hat rack mirror. It is in very good condition and has its original and very ornate hardware. Hooks. It also has hardware for easy hanging. Beveled port hole style mirror is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. Mirror itself does have a couple of small dark spots from the silvering deteriorating, overall it is still very clear. Solid oak frame is very well made and heavy. Great piece of Victorian craftsmanship. When I ship this I will be taking the hat hooks off and shipping them in a seperate box. I think it will be safer that way. Extends from wall 5 and 1/8 inches, with Width of 10.5 inches. The carvings are simply spectacular and the nautical hooks are very rare and unique.This is a one of a kind 19th Century antique coat rack/herb drying rack. The oak board is incised on the front DELL"S Hat and Coat Rack Pat NOV.1, 87 MFD. by Odel WW Works Indianapolis" The hooks are of an early, rare ornate design that fit into the board and held in place by rivets on the top. The board is contoured on three sides. It measures 31 inches long; 4 inches high and 3 1/4 inches in depth from the wall. The back has a paint reside from an earlier life.
