Being offered for sale is this fantastic Pierced Carved Victorian Eastlake Walnut& Burl Walnut Marble Top Hall Tree Stand with its original Iron Drip Pans circa 1880. This splendid hall tree features fabulous pierced carvings. Burl walnut accents, brass hat/ coat hooks, its original marble top and the original fancy iron drip pans that are each embossed on the inside" S.F.Co.Cin.O" This fine 19th century hall tree measures 78 3/4 inches in height from the floor to the very top. Height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 27 3/4 inches, with a total width of 37 inches and a total depth at the base of 11 inches and this hall tree weighs approximately 70 lbs. The mirror measures 19 1/4 inches by 11 inches and the marble measures 14 inches wide by 10 1/4 inches deep. Each of the iron drip pans measures 6 1/2 inches by ... more7 1/2 inches. This lovely hall tree stand offers 6 double brass hat coat hooks perfect for hanging those jackets. Coats, purses and hats, the 2 in the middle are a little different and may be vintage replacements. This floor shaving stand with a tilt mirror is in the Eastlake style. The age of the piece is c. 1870-1890. It is in great found original condition. The mahogany finish is original with a good patina. The original beveled mirror tilts at various angles to accomodate one who is shaving. The dovetailed drawer has the original pulls to it. This item is in excellent condition with no missing or broken parts. It is made from solid walnut and is trimmed in ebony. It has beautiful incised cravings and open work. Which was so typical of this era. The back of the hall tree has an old newspaper covering the mirror portion from Pittsburg. Dated Wed. March 15, 1893. This hall tree has a gorgeous bonnet top crest with burl walnut accents and wonderful geometric carvings, 6 brass hat coat hooks flank the mirror with carved walnut umbrella arms, brown marble top with a storage drawer with period dove-tailed ends below the marble. Antique Eastlake Victorian Quilt Rack; 19th Century, Walnut Towel Drying Stand
Up for bids we offer this Eastlake Victorian quilt rack in very good condition. Right out of an estate. This piece is all original and has not been restored. Made of walnut, the finish is well-preserved and not alligatored. This stand is still very sturdy and useful; it's not rickety or falling apart. It has three rods for hanging items on with two more matching ones at the bottom that serve as braces to keep the rack stable. As the photos show, it's ornate and would look great among other Victorian furniture but also is pretty enough to be used anywhere. It measures 23 inches long, 28 1/4 inches high and 10 5/8 inches wide. One small wooden peg-ornament is missing on one of the feet. Condition is as follows: Has a small chip in the wood on the left side as shown and there is some light wear/chipping on the back at the hanging hole as shown. We believe this piece to have its original 6 brass hat/ coat hooks that each measure 3 1/2 inches and it appears to have its original mirror which does show some slight silver loss as age appropriate but doesn't warrant replacing in my opinion. Antique 1800"s- Gothic Eastlake Heavily Carved Plant/ Candle/ Lamp Pedestal Stand- Stand Measures a tall 38"1/2 Inches. I am not positive what wood this stand is made of. Looks like a mahogany to me but i am no authority on antique woods. Stand itself is in gorgeous condition, it sits flat and level and looks to stand perfectly straight, it does not wobble around and none of the joints creek though i think the only joints there are is the top plate and maybe the bottom tri pod. its a very dark mahogany in color, not to far from an ebony in color. the carving on this piece is fabulous, the is no damage, cracks or chips what so ever, maybe just the most trivial of tiny dings here and there but nothing that is noticeable. you would have to be way up close to see any blemishes and honestly there really arent any. stand has its original ... morebottom pegged feet aswell which you often dont see on pieces this old. top to bottom this stand is gorgeous and completely original, doesnt look to have ever been refinished though there is no reason for it anyways. shipping quote i have for this is just a guess,if it ends up costing more to ship i will cover the cost,if its any cheaper i will refund you the difference. Has incised carving on legs as well as incised carving of horseshoe on top. Solid and sturdy. Over 120 years old. Good condition for age. Structurally solid. Vigorously refinished at one time(not by us) Overly shiny newer finish used when refinished. Slight seam separation on board top is not a crack but just a slight separation on boards on top(pic#4) Finish on top has some blemishes when refinished(looks like a roller touched is a few places when finish applied) Minor wear. Scratches, and dings as expected on a piece of this age. To me the blemishes are quite minor and this is a beautiful antique American Victorian plant stand ready to use.
