This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! Absolutely stunning American Rococo style cast iron hall tree/ umbrella stand. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. This hall tree stands 79" tall. Measures about 28" wide, and approximately 15" deep. I believe this is likely mid 19th Century based on comparable hall trees I have researched. Very heavy, heavy piece, parts of it do come apart- mainly the coat/clothes hooks, and the top piece. There is a separate umbrella tray that comes out. The mirror rotates and is on a ball joint. Beautiful design appears to represent flowing branches, leaves, and flowers and at the top of the mirror a beautiful eagle. An American Rococo Revival rosewood and maple étagère. Circa 1845– 1860. Possibly J. and J.W. Meeks. Carved urn and C-scroll crest over a domed mirror with C-scroll frame flanked by shelves with undulating edges and elaborate scroll work. The shelves are supported by spool turned poles topped with urn finials. The center step top base has a variegated black marble top with undulating edge flanked by two undulating tops with gadrooned edges. The center has a door with elaborate scroll fretwork opening to reveal a maple interior with undulating shelves. The legs are a dramatic cabriole shape ending in scroll feet. The apron is carved with a floral and scroll edge. A scroll carved cross stretcher conjoins with a central open urn. Measurements: 110” H x 44” W x 25” deep, approximately.
