Charming early quilt stand or rack. Wood is oak that has been turned to create classic spindle shapes. Forged iron legs original to the piece. Stand most likely dates from the 1800's. Overall. The stand is in good estate condition. There is obvious wear to the wood, consistent with its age. The piece is a little wobbly and one end of the top rail can disconnect from its support if you aren't careful. The cast iron feet are well attached, but can be turned. Otherwise, there are no breaks or repairs. The piece stands 30" tall and is 23.5" long. At the top it is 7" wide and the feet are each 9" wide. Antique oak coat rack with 4 cast iron coat hooks. This coat rack has its original finish and original wood dowels threaded through the cast iron hooks. All four hooks are secured tightly to the oak board. The rack measures 25 1/2' X 3 1/4' The hooks protrude 6 3/4' from the rack. The top wood dowel is split at the end while the bottom dowel goes the entire length of the rack. Best Gilded Library Book Bible Music Stand Cast Iron Oak Victorian Pat. 1895
Although I have only come across a few of these stands over the years. This one is BY FAR the best one I have owned. As it is presently configured. This book/music stands measures 44 inches tall and is a 16 x 16 inches at the foot. The finish is the original gilded finish. Which has a warm rich patina and is mostly complete. Of course there are areas that have worn more than others over the years, just a testament to a previously used and loved item. I believe the two quarter-sawn oak tablets at the top have been refinished at some point in the past and each presents very well. One could say striking in appearance. The legs have an ornate incised design running down each leg. And each leg does have the original metal caster at the bottom. Very easy to roll on a hard surface. In the center is a cast iron“basket” Complete and free from any ... morebreaks or repairs, retains most of the original finish and is a nice decorative element that also doubles as a storage area for addition books or sheet music. The center pole can be adjusted for height. And the angle of the wood tablets can also be adjusted. The mechanism underneath has a patent date of 1895, and is complete, free of any repairs and retains original authentic patina. One will notice a partial label underneath one of the oak tablets. This is truly an outstanding piece and one I really hate to part with. But the time has come, as you will see in my pictures, this wonderful early Oak Wall Mount Hat& Coat Rack features Cast Iron Antler designed hooks. This piece is 100% original condition all I ever did was dust it, as you will see there are a couple of very old paint droppings on the wood itself and the one end was cut off back in the day. Here we have a lovely antique railroad coat hook- the wood features a nice beveled edge around the bottom and sides and measures 38" x 3 5/8" There are two sturdy eye-hooks. So it is ready to hang. It has five nicely decorated iron double hooks connected with steel rods. The top hook sticks out about 2 1/8" from the base and the bottom hook sticks out about 1 1/4" from the base. The top rack part sticks up about 6" from the base. The wood was carved out to hold the hooks- The wood is in great condition- and the finish appears age appropriate. Here is a hard-to-find old wall rack for hats and coats. These were used on trains and train stations. In offices and banks and other commercial places. Today. We want them for our homes. This one measures 31" long and the hooks come out almost 7" from the wall. The hooks are in great shape with no cracks or breaks. The back board is oak and is original. It is stamped"Udell's hat& Coat Rack Udell's W W Works Indianapolis" on the back. The back board has been painted black. Has a crack and several mounting holes drilled into it. The hat rack dowel is pine and has a small split in each end where they put the mounting screw in. Not a perfect piece but will work perfectly and at a great price.

Fancy Antique Brass Cast Iron & Oak Adjustable English Book Music Stand
For your consideration is this very nice antique book stand. It features brass and cast iron construction and was made by Carters Ltd of London. I believe it likely dates to either the very end of the 19th century or near the beginning of the 20th. The fully adjustable oak shelf tilts and swivels and will slide the full length of it's shaft support. The chased brass vertical upright is fully adjustable for height and sits on a fancy cast iron claw and ball footed base. The book shelf which measures 14x9" can be adjusted from 23" to 44" in height and is 33" as shown. The horizontal support is 15" long and the cast iron base is 13x13" Everything remains in very nice functional condition. Antique 19c Victorian Cast Iron Oak/wood Bible Music Atlas Book Stand Pat Date 1895. Very good condition. Possibly this book stand has been restored? Shows some remains of a gold gilt finish. Pictures do it no justice. The color is silver/ iron with slight remains of gold gilt color. Not black! Minor rust. Scuffs and scratches. Has the Patent date on back side where all the adjustments are. PAT. DEC. 10, 95. 1895) Adjustments are up and down, wood panel spread apart for different size books, angle/tilts. Stand measures approx. 46" tall and lowers to approx. 26" Each wood panels measures 13" x 8' Legs are approx. 17" x17" Sold as is as found with no warranty's. Assembly will be required for shipping. Antique Victorian Cast Iron & Oak Adjustable Book Music Bible Stand - No Reserve
Up for auction is a beautiful antique Victorian book stand. It is constructed of cast iron and oak with the base being designed with the pattern sometimes referred to as"Angel Wings" It is adjustable and is in great shape for its age. It has no breaks or damage to the cast iron and a few small age cracks visible on the edge of one side of the oak. It appears it may have been re-finished at some point in the past. The oak board is incised on the front DELL"S Hat and Coat Rack Pat NOV.1, 87 MFD. by Odel WW Works Indianapolis" The hooks are of an early, rare ornate design that fit into the board and held in place by rivets on the top. The board is contoured on three sides. It measures 31 inches long; 4 inches high and 3 1/4 inches in depth from the wall. The back has a paint reside from an earlier life.
