Raised panels of burl walnut, carved rosettes, incised carvings, the original mirrors and the original recessed beveled edge marble top, with shaped walnut display shelves flanking the center mirror. Truly a grand statement piece you would be proud to showcase in your home. This fabulous étagère measures 105 1/2 inches( 8' 9 1/2" in total height. Height to the marble at the base is 29 3/4 inches, with a total width of 54 inches and total depth at the base of 19 inches and this étagère weighs approximately 250 lbs total but does dis-assemble into 3 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The original mirror at the center measures 46 3/4 inches in height by 22 1/2 inches wide. This Victorian étagère is in fantastic antique condition. The original mirrors do show some mild spidering silver loss as common with old mirrors. And the original white beveled edge recessed marble top has no chips or cracks but does have some mild discoloration as age appropriate. There is also a small age shrinkage area to the wood by the bottom mirror on the right side see picture of close-up, and a piece of burl veneer missing on the left side towards the back; see close up picture. Neither of these affects the integrity or beauty this elegant piece offers. The locks are intact on the drawer and the cabinet below but the key provided just aids in opening the drawer and the cabinet. This is a spectacular carved Victorian Etagere from the 1800s. It would be stunning in a grand entrance or foyer with a high ceiling. I understand this piece to be Walnut. I am not sure if it is an English or American. Excellent condition. But the mirror has been replaced. One small split in a section of wood just above the marble top. One drawer which is almost hidden by design. This etagere is currently safe in climate controlled storage. If I had anywhere to properly display this item in my home, I would not be selling it. This piece came from Europe and is truly Baroque style. This is very ornately hand carved. The drip pans for the umbrella stands are missing and there is a split in the bottom shelf that runs across where the drip pans would be. There are 4 wooden dowels that serve as racks to hold hats or coats on the upper portion of the stand. Originally I believe there were 6 racks but looks like 2 are missing. ... moreThere is a long oval mirror in the center upper portion of the back. The mirror looks very old. It may be the original mirror. There is a lot of discoloration around the edges of the mirror. There is a glove box in the center of the stand with a hinged lid. There are bun feet on the front. This item is in great condition for being 200 years old however it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the exact age or who made it. This stand measures 76 7/8 inches tall, 30 ¾ inches side to side and 14 ¾ inches front to back. It weighs 54 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Antique Mahogany Eastlake Floor Shaving Mirror: Brass Hardware,Drawer& Storage
This floor shaving stand with a tilt mirror is in the Eastlake style. The age of the piece is c. 1870-1890. It is in great found original condition. The mahogany finish is original with a good patina. The original beveled mirror tilts at various angles to accomodate one who is shaving. The dovetailed drawer has the original pulls to it. The storage compartment on the bottom is unusual in that this type stand usually does not have this feature. It also has its original hardware. The stand is sturdy and tight. I have found no repairs. This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! This is a very nice gold pier mirror that is in two sections. The top mirror part hangs on the wall and rests on the mable top base. Combined the piece measures approximatley 108 1/2" tall and 39 1/4" wide. The top mirror frame is 89 1/2" x 37" The mirror is 73 1/2" x 26 1/2" The mable is 39 1/4" x 14 1/2" and the base that it sits on is 38 1/2" wide x 17 3/4" deep. for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. It has a full one inch bevel around the mirror. There is carved egg and dart trim all around the mirror. Below the mirror is a shelf that is curved. Antique Carved Oak Victorian Louis F. Nonnast Coat Rack w/ Oval Beveled Mirror
This is an absolutely stunning rare Victorian wall mirror that doubles as a coat or hat rack. It is in beautiful condition; the wood and finish are excellent; the wood is oak and it is finished in a rich red mahogany color. The mirror is beveled and in very good condition with some minor light spotting in areas. The coat hooks seem to be cast iron with a gold finish and are all excellent. There are beautifully carved accents all the way around the mirror. There is one small wooden scroll applique missing behind the lower right hook. It's not obvious at all; I did notice it when closely inspected. But the coat hook hides it well and the piece that is missing was very small. There is a stamp on the back that says Lous F. Nonnast, Chicago ILL, and it is numbered 56. Antique Victorian Highly Carved Walnut Hall Tree w/ Beveled Mirror & Marble
Estate Treasure. Up for auction is a Victorian highly carved hall tree. It dates back to the mid 1800's. It is walnut and the finish has ebonized. It is in very good condition for it's age. The small diamond shaped mirror at the top is spotted and streaked and a piec of molding around th mirror is missing. The small 1/2 moon mirror near the top is in great condition and the large beveled mirror is great with very slight haziness(it measures 39" H by 17-1/2" W) The marble shelf has some small flea bite chips along the edge and one larger chip on the back edge next to the wood(it is 8" by 14" There are no coat hooks and it does not appear to have ever had any. As with any antique furniture there are going to be some character flaws but I have pointed out everything even slightly major. It stands 89" tall. 23" ... morewide, and 10" deep. Offered is this charming solid wood shaving stand with beveled mirror and storage drawer. We believe this to be walnut. This cabinet can rest on its four feet. Or it can be hung on the wall. This one has a wire hanger on the back for hanging. The piece has two shelves. The wider one is 6 inches deep and appears above the drawer while the narrow shelf is 3 inches deep and appears below the carved top piece, above the mirror. The shaving cabinet stands 21.5 inches tall and measures 9 inches wide. It is almost 7 inches deep at the deepest point. This piece dates to the Victorian era. Late 1800s or early 1900s. It is a fine piece of cabinet work. This stand is in very good condition for its years. However. Some minor flaws need to be mentioned. The drawer pull, which appears to be brass, has been broken, as you can see if you look closely at ... morethe photos. The wood back has split near the edge, where nails have been inserted. The finish on the beveled mirror shows some small imperfections to the silver. There is a small metal fixture attached to one side of this stand. Antique. Circa 1880, inlaid etagere/curio stand in fine condition. 5' tall x 22" wide, x 14" deep. 20 lbs. The color in the inlay is a very nice contrast with the golden color of the wood. It retains its' original porcelain casters. Decorative oval mirror on top. All the shelves are inlaid with scrolls and urns. The top and bottom shelves have inlaid aprons.
