This book/music stands measures 44 inches tall and is a 16 x 16 inches at the foot. The finish is the original gilded finish. Which has a warm rich patina and is mostly complete. Antique Austrian Music Stand
This music stand was bought at an antique shop in the 1980's. I believe this stand was part of the Austrian symphony in the mid 19th century. I came by this information from other eBay listings with the exact same item. The stand comes apart in two pieces; the top and the triangle base. It also adjusts in height and the music holder itself adjusts. It's in good condition; however the fret work on one end was damaged. I have all 4 pieces that broke off. As far as shipping. For your bidding consideration in this auction is an Antique. Cast Iron& Wood Music/ Bible/ Book Stand. This is a recent Estate Acquisition in overall fabulous condition. The stand is a beautiful Victorian style and made by L.W. Noyes Aermotor Co. Mr. Noyes founded the Aermotor Company in Chicago in 1888 so my estimate is that this piece, with beautiful arched legs. Wooden caster wheels and Heart of Pine wood(very rarely used today as this was only found in virgin timber) was made circa 1890. The Stand has adjusting areas for angle of the book table as well as allowing it to swivel 360 degrees. The table top/ work surface can rest perfectly flat or adjusted to almost a 90 degree angle. The arched Legs drop down to the wooden caster wheels which are 16" apart. The wood book table is basically 2 parts- each is kept in place by a cast ... moreiron locking handle. When the handle is released, the 2 parts, due to the heavy spring action, fold easily up and together for storage. The top section is removable from the stand for shipping. Portable Rolling Antique Cast Iron Music Bible Stand Breaks Down Easy Victorian
Hello and thank you for looking. This is an antique music or book stand made of cast iron. Metal and wood. It is in very nice working condition. It breaks down easily and is fully adjustable. It come on wheels or casters which also work well. There is a nut on the bottom which when unscrewed allow for the four legs to come off. I have been able to use all of the adjustments accept the one that moves the unit up and down. That finger screw is tight and I don't want to force it. I see no reason why it wouldn't work given time and patience. This stand has been well cared for and displayed for many years but it is used and there are some marks. There is also a spot under the ledge on one side of the wood that has the remnants of an old sticker or mark of some kind. I was told this was a Victorian piece but I am no expert and really do ... moreno know its age. It looks very nice in the corner of my den. I am renovating and although it took some convincing the boss says it has to go. I threw the last picture in there so you could see how we have been using it. Thanks again for looking.

This is a beautiful Victorian era oak stick and ball music stand or bookcase dating to around 1890. PLEASE NOTE: the outdoor pictures came out a bit too red in color.the stand has a rich. Warm walnut colored original finish. The stand features a beautiful bentwood lyre center crest accented with brass bandings. The entire stand has elaborate stick and ball spindled turnings including the front, sides and back. Antique Cast Iron& Oak Music/Book/Bible Stand. 1895 Antique cast iron and wood book stand that adjusts for height. Angle and size of the book on display. The wood finish does show some age wear, but no cracks or chips and can be seen in the close up pictures. The cast iron cradle in the center is designed to support the spine of the book. The little shelf below has decorative pierced iron design with guards at each end. Perhaps shelf is meant for holding other volumes? The stand breaks down and assembles very easily. Fancy Antique Brass Cast Iron & Oak Adjustable English Book Music Stand
For your consideration is this very nice antique book stand. It features brass and cast iron construction and was made by Carters Ltd of London. I believe it likely dates to either the very end of the 19th century or near the beginning of the 20th. The fully adjustable oak shelf tilts and swivels and will slide the full length of it's shaft support. The chased brass vertical upright is fully adjustable for height and sits on a fancy cast iron claw and ball footed base. The book shelf which measures 14x9" can be adjusted from 23" to 44" in height and is 33" as shown. The horizontal support is 15" long and the cast iron base is 13x13" Everything remains in very nice functional condition. There is one small area of wear to the brass wrap right at the 90 degree angle of the upright pole. Nothing that detracts ... morewhatsoever. This one is as fancy as it is heavy and stable. Antique Book/Music Stand. Adjustable. Desks & Secretaries and Wood & Metal
Antique stand is adjustable. Brass or bronze metal on real early Masonite painted back. It appears to be a shellac finish, and the early Masonite originally came out in 1906 and was patented a few years later. I'm thinking 1920's to 40's when it was made. Folds and bends into a multitude of position's. It's quite a unique stand. I have looked hard to see a similar item and haven't since acquiring it. Condition is good, not great. It's a bit worn from age but no real damage anywhere on it that I have noticed except 2 corners slightly chipped/worn, little dusty. The are quite a few possible uses for this because of the design.

Up for auction is a beautiful antique Victorian book stand. It is constructed of cast iron and oak with the base being designed with the pattern sometimes referred to as"Angel Wings" It is adjustable and is in great shape for its age. It has no breaks or damage to the cast iron and a few small age cracks visible on the edge of one side of the oak. It appears it may have been re-finished at some point in the past. It has very graceful cast iron legs and wood panels that would hold your music or book. It adjusts in height from 31" to 43" and each wooden piece measures approximately 8" x 13" The wooden pieces swivel to make it easier to have your book open. The legs at the base measure approximately 17" deep and 19" wide. It is on wheels.
