LARGE VICTORIAN FUMED OAK BARLEY TWIST PLANT STAND
Offered for sale is a large Victorian Dark Oak Barley Twist Plant Stand. Stands like these generally graced the entry way or halls of Victorian homes and were usually surmounted by ferns and other draping plants. Curiously. This doesn't have the usual watermarks from leaky flower pots that generally tended to ruin these things. The only things missing are 3 small corbels from under the top& a dowelled piece of gingerbread that graced the middle of the bottom brace, all of which could be easily duplicated. The stand is about 42" tall. The top is about 14" in diameter; the flat plant stand surface is about 12" in diameter. The bas feet are about 18" in diameter.
