Here is a absolutely gorgeous early 20th century oversize beautifully carved mahogany sideboard is paneled with detailed carvings on the lower doors and mantle back panels. Fluted edges, two beveled mirror back candle stands, display shelves, and large work or serving surface, drawers and cabinet space below, recently imported from the United Kingdom through Edinburgh, Scotland. Please take the time to look at my close up photo's of these beautiful carvings including urns, a figure- perhaps Neptune and the words GLORIA NON PRADEA in the top center, and tall stone towers on the central lower doors. This unique. Handcrafted, solid mahogany secretary folding top desk was given to me by my grandparents in the 1960s. The color has remained sharp over the years and the desk is solidly built. My grandparents had it for many years. The carvings on the desk are unique as are the brass drawer pulls and hinges. It measures 36"L x 36"H x 19"D. It is in very good condition.
