Beautiful Antique Brass and Onyx plant or Fern Stand Pedestal.
Beautiful Brass and Onyx plant/ fern stand. It appears to be consistent with American design and manufacture. I did not find a maker's mark on the stand. The stand appears to be in great condition with no apparent breaks. Damage, repairs or missing parts. The top and bottom pieces of onyx are very nice but have a couple of small oyster chips around edges but no cracks. The bottom legs are ornate brass. The legs holding the top shelf are onyx columns and brass columns with decorative pieces. I am not sure of the metal holding the onyx columns. A magnet does not stick to them. The stand is about 31 inches tall. The bottom shelf is 11.25" high. The top onyx 12" x 12" the bottom is 10" x 10" Both are 3/4 inch thick. The plant stand weights 25.8 pounds and will be disassembled for shipment.

This table was made several years ago from chestnut lumber that was acquired from a Virginia home built in the 1870's. Carved Walnut Figural Victorian Egret & Dolphin Pedestal Plant Stand
For your consideration is this carved walnut figural Victorian pedestal stand. It measures just over 26" tall with the base at 10" in diameter and the top at 8" in diameter. It features a very elaborate design that includes a carved full bodied bird. An egret I believe, with it's talons holding a fish which does resemble a dolphin. It's all solid walnut and likely dates to the late 19th century, 1890 to possibly 1910 or so. The round dished top could hold a plant or a variety of decorative objects for display purposes. Calling cards were popular in the day and this could be a stand that received those. However it is used today, it would make quite an impact in a variety of interior settings. It remains in very well preserved condition with only a small worn spot on the base and a no harm, tight crack in the dished top. ... moreNothing that detracts. 1800's Pedestal Plant Stand w/Original Paint, Alpena, Posen, Metz, Michigan
You are bidding on a WONDERFUL primitive Pedestal Stand. This beauty with its classic lines and proportions shows the craftsmanship that went into producing this complex designed pedestal. The beautifully rendered paintings of ROSES on all 4 sides only serve to tastefully embellish the piece. The Varnish is original and the overall condition shows that it has served a useful life. As the pictures hopefully show. The top has the most wear and this survivor needs to find an appreciative caretaker. This Pedestal came from the historical town of Metz, Michigan and it is possible that this piece survived the Metz Fire of the early 1900's. Antique 1800"s- Gothic Eastlake Heavily Carved Plant/ Candle/ Lamp Pedestal Stand- Stand Measures a tall 38"1/2 Inches. I am not positive what wood this stand is made of. Looks like a mahogany to me but i am no authority on antique woods. Stand itself is in gorgeous condition, it sits flat and level and looks to stand perfectly straight, it does not wobble around and none of the joints creek though i think the only joints there are is the top plate and maybe the bottom tri pod. its a very dark mahogany in color, not to far from an ebony in color. the carving on this piece is fabulous, the is no damage, cracks or chips what so ever, maybe just the most trivial of tiny dings here and there but nothing that is noticeable. you would have to be way up close to see any blemishes and honestly there really arent any. stand has its original ... morebottom pegged feet aswell which you often dont see on pieces this old. top to bottom this stand is gorgeous and completely original, doesnt look to have ever been refinished though there is no reason for it anyways. shipping quote i have for this is just a guess,if it ends up costing more to ship i will cover the cost,if its any cheaper i will refund you the difference.
