Antique English Empire Ash octagonal Pedestals Plant stands Columns Cathedral
I am selling a pair of Mid 19th century Empire octagonal pedestals these are about 5 feet tall and 9 inches in diameter. The top section is faux painted and the lower section seems to be an Ash veneer. They are in fairly good condition with some cracking to the veneer. They look as though they had been set up as floor lamps. They were in a house owned by a famous Seattle interior designer that I renovated and amongst many imported antiques. antique mahogany plant or fern stands, pedestals with or without marble tops
for auction is a very nice pair of mahogany pedestals or plant stands. they have marble tops with them. But some may prefer to use them without the marble as the tops are finished nicely and show nice mahogany grain. the marble tops are used in the most part to protect the tops from water rings etc. so you can take them or leave them. the tops are not original to the pedestals. i would like to apologize for all the dust, i did not realize how dirty they were until i looked at the pictures. anything you see on the tops or anywhere is something that will wipe right off. also, although these pedestals look like a pair, they do not match exactly, they are the same height and diameter but there are some minor differences in them, ie. in the feet and rings and contours on the shaft. they go great together, but again they are not identical. i am ... morelisting them together and the price will buy both, however, if you only want one, let me know and we can work it out for the purchase of one or i can relist them as singles. they are 32 inches tall with the marble, a bit over 31 without it. the diameter of the marble tops is 14.25, the diameter of the mahogany tops are 31.5 inches. the diameter across the toes at the bottom is a bit over 17 inches. they are a nice set of antique pedestals and look good together and are hard to tell apart unless you scrutinize them closely. they may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. they can go usps, ups, fedex, or greyhound. good luck.

Antique pair of Edwardian marquetry pedestals stands 19th century
This pair of pedestals is each 43 inches tall. They are not an identical match. They are inlaid with urns on the front and near the top. They have borders made of an exotic wood. These are English from the Edwardian period. They date to the late 19 th or early 20 th century. Each pedestal has a little bit of veneer missing on a bottom corner. There are some other small chips to the wood but nothing significant. A similar pair sold at an auction in England last year for $3700. Please see photos for details. Just removed from a New York City Estate we have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful Pair antique 19th century Carved Gilt Pedestal Stands! These are carved to the max. The carvings are exquisite, as the photos will attest. The stands are in good condition. Minor carving chip or two for there age they are in great shape. It was taken care of very well by the previous owners. Size is large 58. tall, 17" wide at base. Bought right, priced right, You will be glad you own it! Old Antique Dore Bronze Mounted Ebonized Wood French Plant Stands Pedestals Pair of 2 Two A nice matched pair of wooden Bronze mounted antique French plant stands or pedestals for statues or vases. They are made of wood painted black(ebonized) The mounts were originally all gold gilt Dore Bronze(loos to retain much of the original gilding under discoloration from being 100 + years old. Each measures about 3 feet high and 8 inches wide at the top(1 foot 7 inches wide at the base) The stands are in good all original condition with some wear and some losses to the finish and wood from age and use(see photos) I would date these to be 125 +/ years old. I believe they are French in origin. The Bronze mounts are similar to Boulle tables and other French furniture that I have sold in the past. Information about this artist below: John Stevens Coppin ... morewas born in Mitchell. Ontario. Settling in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, he became a prominent portrait painter, muralist, and illustrator. As Director of"AAA Motor News" magazine, he was noted for his covers of this publication that was the forerunner of"Michigan Living" magazine. His portrait subjects included actor Sir Alec Guiness. Artist Sadakichi Hartmann, General Motors President James M. Roche, automobile tycoon Henry Ford, and four Michigan governors. The Hartmann portrait is in the National Gallery in Washington and his mural, Man and Transportation" is in the Detroit Public Library. Coppin was educated at Stratford Collegiate Institute and the John Wicker School of Art in Detroit. And he also did study tours in Europe. He was a member of the American Federation of Artists and a fellow of International Institute of Arts and Letters. Prizes include the Scarab Club Gold Medal in Detroit for three years. Here is a nice pair of brass late Victorian plant stands. They are in the good original found condition. They have wear that is appropriate and consistent with the age and use. It appears the patina is original as only time can age it. There are no known breaks. Repairs, missing parts or damage to either. The design is orate as in classic Victorian. Antique English Pine Pedestal Hall Stands Circa 1800s
These are two great and beautiful English antique pine pedestal stands. The tags on one of them are shown. Sold by Mike Bell Antiques to the famous Boston interior designer William Hodgins. Not sure how they ended up in Central PA. Purchased them at auction earlier this Summer. In some correspondence with a rep at Mike Bell. They guessed that they are from Western England and date from the mid-to late1800s. I am guessing that the tops are a later addition based on wider growth rings in the pine and by the tool marks. See images for condition. Three of the rosettes on one pedestal are broken(see images) Measure 38" tall. Tops measure 17" wide by 14 1/2" Bottoms measure 19 5/8" by 16" I will consider delivering these within a reasonable distance from 17032 zip code for a small fee.
