With a wonderful hand embroidered original tapestry upholstery of an 18th Century scene of Royalty. It is quite unusual to find embroidered upholstery that has been as well preserved as this in revived examples, and it brings an incredible amount of life to the chair. The arms are long and molded, with a soft cabriole form curving into intensely carved hand rests. Similarly molded arm supports rise to lock the arms in place, each arm flanking a broad tapestry upholstered seat of animal life amongst foliate designs.
