This came from a very old German estate. All intricately hand carved. Is 34" tall, 12 in diameter at the base. One foot needs to be reattached and has some minor old chips as seen in photos. ANTIQUE BLACK FOREST MOTHER BEAR AND CUBS HALL TREE
A genuine antique carved wood hall tree featuring a mother with her two cubs. The piece measures 86 inches tall and comes apart for shipping. Four of the branches come off and the front guard also. There are a few age cracks from drying out, no actual damage or repairs, see pics. The carving is very good quality showing expression and pretty fine detail, the teeth are all there and interior of the mouths, which are painted red, are in great condition. Moms' eyes are glass, but the cubs eyes are carved into the wood and painted. This will ship Fedex ground service in two large boxes, probably cost around $300. Lower 48 states only. antique highly carved federal winged griffin north wind plant stand black forest
for auction is a very rare most likely one of a kind antique probably federal fern or plant stand. it also resembles black forrest. hopefully the pictures are good enough to ascertain how well. Detailed, and how much carving this piece has. it features three winged griffins or dragons attached to a central shaft that supports the actual platform for a fern or plant. the feet of the griffins supports the shaft. the shaft does not touch the floor. at any rate it is carved to death. the front of the breast of the dragons has what appears to be the face of the north wind blowing. you can see the eyes and the cheeks puffed up for blowing. under the platform, which is more of a bowl, for the fern is a carved collar with several leaves displayed. the top of the plant stand has incised carving in it. the platform is attached to the shaft with a dowel. ... morethe griffin body and legs etc are attached to the shaft with two large dowels for each griffin. i am not for sure what kind of wood it it, but it appears to be walnut on the parts light enough in color to try to tell. it stands 40 inches tall, the platform is 10 inches in diameter. the feet at the widest stretch are 18 inches. the griffin bodies at the widest point if a bit over 14 inches. as far as i can tell all the pieces are still in tact, some have been broken off and re stuck. i am amazed that it is still apparently all there. there was a piece broken from the bottom of the shaft when i got it. i really do not know what it looked like so i put a finial there which i think looks ok. if you don't like it, it can be removed with little effort. i paid a tidy sum for it some time ago and would like to get my money back. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

Antique Heavily Carved Black Forest Hall/Foyer/Monk's Bench w/Winged Maidens
A stunning black forest oak carved hall/foyer bench or monk's seat in superb condition for the age. We believe this to be from the mid 1800's most likely close to the 1860's. I am unsure if there is a piece that is supposed to attach to the back of this piece or not as there are no signs of where a back would attach. The piece measures as follows: 54" wide x 23.5" depth at corners 22.5" depth at center 22.25" height. This piece displays superb craftsmanship throughout the various carved areas. The front corners each have a nude winged maiden facing outward. The top edge is carved all the way around in one design and the bottom edge in another. The front has two carved sections flanking a carved lion head with ornate leaf/wreath/ floral accents providing a circular frame for the head. The top center of the seat ... morelifts for storage on this. There are signs of age and use on this that include crazing and cracks as well as scratches and dings. This Beautiful Black Forest Bear Hall Tree is an Original.OLD, Handcarved piece and is a very sought after, hard to find piece! It appears to be all Original with no replacement parts. There is one small piece missing from one of the limb ends which should show up in the pictures. This little piece would be an easy thing to handcarve and is only about 4 in. long! This week we have this gorgeous Antique. 19th Century, intricately hand carved figural table or pedestal. This piece is deeply carved in a figural cherub/puti with foral& vines pillars, and swirling serpants at his feet. It measures 35" x 18 1/2" x 18 1/2" I believe this piece is French. We purchased several 18th and 19th century items from this same estate and most items were French. As you can see from the pictures the finish is original and is very old, it is uneven on the top(please see photos) there are also chips and rubs to the top. You can bid on item2367N15. On offer this large antique Black Forest Swiss Brienz(Giessbach) very fine carved walnut bear and cub hall tree and umbrella stand. The bears both have glass eyes. This piece dates 1880 or older and has it’s original insert. I noticed some old wormholes, absolutely not active anymore and hardly noticeable, only for you to know. Authentic Antique Black Forest Bear Hall Tree This is a authentic black forest bear hall tree. It stands 88" tall. Bear is 38" tall. In good condition. There are a few age cracks as seen in pictures.
