Simple but beautiful. This is an antique C-1910 Mission Arts& Crafts oak hall tree in great condition. I did lightly sand. Touch the spots with stain and put a coat of vanish on to freshen up the finish. The seat was cracked so that was glued, lightly sanded, and stained with a coat of varnish. The hardware is original, the mirror is original but with spotting and slightly foggy but it gives it a old look. The boards on the sides have gaps(look at the pictures) Sooo this is pretty original. This piece came from Europe and is truly Baroque style. This is very ornately hand carved. The drip pans for the umbrella stands are missing and there is a split in the bottom shelf that runs across where the drip pans would be. There are 4 wooden dowels that serve as racks to hold hats or coats on the upper portion of the stand. Originally I believe there were 6 racks but looks like 2 are missing. ... moreThere is a long oval mirror in the center upper portion of the back. The mirror looks very old. It may be the original mirror. There is a lot of discoloration around the edges of the mirror. There is a glove box in the center of the stand with a hinged lid. There are bun feet on the front. This item is in great condition for being 200 years old however it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the exact age or who made it. This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. Antique Victorian Highly Carved Walnut Hall Tree w/ Beveled Mirror & Marble
Estate Treasure. Up for auction is a Victorian highly carved hall tree. It dates back to the mid 1800's. It is walnut and the finish has ebonized. It is in very good condition for it's age. The small diamond shaped mirror at the top is spotted and streaked and a piec of molding around th mirror is missing. The small 1/2 moon mirror near the top is in great condition and the large beveled mirror is great with very slight haziness(it measures 39" H by 17-1/2" W) The marble shelf has some small flea bite chips along the edge and one larger chip on the back edge next to the wood(it is 8" by 14" There are no coat hooks and it does not appear to have ever had any. As with any antique furniture there are going to be some character flaws but I have pointed out everything even slightly major. It stands 89" tall. 23" ... morewide, and 10" deep. Antique 1890's Victorian Hall Seat/Tree w/Mirror Massive! Hand Carved Oak Fancy!
Congratulations! You are bidding on a magnificent antique Victorian 1890's Hall seat/tree with bevelled mirror. This one-of-a-kind hall seat is made of solid oak with quarter sawn arms that end in hand carved lions' heads. It has claw feet and decorative carvings on the curved skirt and mirror surround. It has four decorative metal brackets for hanging hats around the mirror. It also has a deep storage seat. Quite frankly. It has the look and feel of a throne! It has been restored with an oak stain and satin polyeurothane finish in order to stand up to the rigors of daily use. It does have one area where the wood panels have separated slightly in the middle of the back of the seat(see pics) but it in no way takes away from the overall look of the piece. A beveled 13 1/2" square angled mirror and four Gargoyle hat/coat hooks adorn this beautiful piece. This is a superb carved oak hall tree made in England. It has the original hooks and drip tray. There is a carved lions head to the center drawer which is a glove box.Either side of the top there are carved scenes with people in there, there is a top which comes off which is also heavily carved. This auction is for a antique circa 1880. Its made of solid oak. There are 6 double cast iron hooks. Behind the top 2 there are japaned metal plates. Storage for hats& gloves under the seat. Umberella stand with a brass drip pan. This hall tree has some wonderful carving on it there are spade designs, round carved balls at the top and a rectangular carving in the middle.
