Just acquired out of a wonderful. Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. There are a total of 9 very fancy large cast iron hooks which are ... moreall original to the hall tree. I even believe that the mirror is possibly original as well, with only some minor discoloration to the silvering. It has the original removeable bottom tray to rest your canes and umbrellas. The tray is signed ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ on the bottom as well as signed on the back of the hall tree ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ The over all condition is very nice with the exception of one broken hook on the bottom tier of cane rests- see picture# 11. It is actually not all that easy to tell because it is an inside hook. There is also one hook on the center column near the figural Lion's Head which has some damage. All of the large eight cast iron hooks on the top two sections are in perfect condition with no damage! The entire body and base is in perfect condition as well, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The patina to the cast iron is all original and we left it in 100% all original, as found, untouched condition. This would make a wonderful addition to any grand foyer entrance or a wonderful piece to display some of your prixed walking sticks or Victorian umbrellas and hats. Incredible Victorian Cast Iron And Leather Umbrella Stand In Shape Of Umbrella
This a great find from an estate we just acquired.It is an umbrella stand that has a cast iron base and shaft which has a ball representing the handle of an umbrella.The shaft is surrounded with hand sewn heavy leather crafted as 5 folds to hold umbrellas.It is 28.5" tall overall. Has a width of 14"across the top,and the cast iron base is 5" across.In researching this form I have found similar examples in decorated metal mostly recent vintage. I have not found a similar example. The leather in dyed a very dark brown and laced as seen on the photos.The craftmanship is ipeccable as is the condition.This is a wonderful object.It is guaranteed old, original, and as described.Email questions or call store(610)317-8872 or cell(610) 703-4349.

Rare Mid 1800's Cast Iron Dog. Umbrella/Cane Hall Tree Stand, Nice! I am selling a mid 1800's victorian cast iron umbrella/Cane hall tree stand. It has the plate that goes in bottom and that is pretty rare to find. According to the research I got on these. It says in book that these were made from 1883-1886 with this particular design, then they made a design almost identical around late 1800's that had a rabbit, then early 1900's they changed it to a duck instead of a rabbit, all 3 designs had the same large dog background. It has two canes held together by what looks to be a collar and a head of a whippet on one and a horse on the other. It has the number 12 on the dog tag. It is about 25" tall, 13 1/2" w and 8" deep. I am pleased to offer this VINTAGE ART DECO CAST IRON CANE STAND OR UMBRELLA STAND I found digging around a barn that had fallen down over 40 years ago. I am selling it in"as found" condition which is still pretty spectacular. It is 42" tall and features a SEMI-NUDE figure with her arms outstretched holding an arc which is obviously the handle. She appears to be standing on a globe and her top is bare with a draped garmet flowing from her waist. This part is 9 1/2" tall. There are three prevelant interconnecting 4 3/4" cast circles in which the canes or umbrellas were place and smaller spaces too. This section is 12" across. The base is also cast with 10 pointed spears in cast which secures the stand quite well and it is 10 1/2" in diameter. There is a screw under the world and under the rings which could ... moreadjust it and the base could be screwed off too. I'm am leaving it all the way that I found it. It has overall rust. But there are no breaks which is amazing. It needs a good wire brushing and oiling to bring it back to life. Antique Fancy Cast Iron Round Umbrella Stand Insert
Clean up this cast iron and it would be beautiful. Came out of a Hall Umbrella or Coat Stand. The pictures clearly show the condition and the measurements. Needs to be restored. But too nice to just junk it! There is a raised line on the underneath of the item that I thought might be a foundry mark.but close inspection leads me to believe that it is simply an area that was part of the making. Antique American Rococo Cast Iron Hall Tree Umbrella Stand 19th C. Eagle
Absolutely stunning American Rococo style cast iron hall tree/ umbrella stand. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. This hall tree stands 79" tall. Measures about 28" wide, and approximately 15" deep. I believe this is likely mid 19th Century based on comparable hall trees I have researched. Very heavy, heavy piece, parts of it do come apart- mainly the coat/clothes hooks, and the top piece. There is a separate umbrella tray that comes out. The mirror rotates and is on a ball joint. Beautiful design appears to represent flowing branches, leaves, and flowers and at the top of the mirror a beautiful eagle. Do not know if this was originally off white, but almost certain this has been painted sometime in the past. An incredibly beautiful antique piece.
