This floor shaving stand with a tilt mirror is in the Eastlake style. The age of the piece is c. 1870-1890. It is in great found original condition. The mahogany finish is original with a good patina. The original beveled mirror tilts at various angles to accomodate one who is shaving. The dovetailed drawer has the original pulls to it. I't as good as it gets in antique furniture. There's no damage, no repairs. It's in wonderful original condition with a great patina. The marble is in great shape as well. Thereare 2 very minor super ficial nics on the edge. They can barely be fet to the touch. There shown in the pics and hardly visible. I don't sell suprises. So while they're minor issues, I mention them. I'll estimate this piece around the turn of the 20th century in age. The stand is 30" high. It's 12 1/2" at the widest bend in the legs. Original Victorian ~ ONYX& BRONZE ETAGERE DISPLAY STAND WITH ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL ONYX SHELF INSERTS AND FINIALS ~ This amazing Victorian etagere was acquired out of wonderful Midwest Victorian estate. It is by far the nicest example that we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. The display stand measures 68 inches tall by 40 inches wide by 14 inches deep. The over all condition is quite nice with the exception of one missing mirror" easy replacement" The patina is 100% all original and we left it in untouched& uncleaned condition, just as it was when discovered in the estate. All seven of the original onyx shelves and fancy finials are in nice condition, with only expected natural inclusions. We have seen several of the smaller plant stands that were similar ... morein design, but never anything this exceptional. This ornate etagere would have been quite expensive to purchase, when it was new over some 100 or so years ago. I would imagine that very few could afford such a fine luxury as this, and not many were ever made. It does have numbers and some markings on the back. We are fairly certain that it was made out East, possibly New York, and around the 1880's- 1890's era. It is certainly well over a 100 years old! The casting in as nice as you will see, and they can not even come close in the newer reproductions they attempt to make. The quality and detain of this Victorian etagere is as nice as you could hope to find. This stand is the solid gilded brass; is not the less attractive cast iron that most are made of. The stand was manufactured by the Scroll Art Company from Bridgeport, Conn. stamped) and is circa 1895 to 1898. Quite extravagent, the stand features an ornate, Fleur de Lis pattern on the base in the Arts and Crafts genre. It has a large center tray upon which rests a very detailed, Gothic designed dragon with exposed teeth. The dragon holds the large cigar holder which is also the ashtray cup. This large cup is removable for cleaning. This stand is very heavy brass(it does NOT accept a magnet) and the brass has been gilded. It is very weighty and is extemely sturdy. Late Victorian walnut floor coat/hat racks are hard to find. This solid walnut coat/hat rack is c. 1890-1910. It appears to be in the original finish with a consistent patina. There are no repairs or breaks that I have found. The brass ball is in great shape. I am not sure if there was a finial of some type that went on top of the brass ball. The metal claw feet that holds each of the four walnut balls are in great shape(please see applicable picture) Each of the six turned spindles are also in great found condition. Though not marked, the stand feature 4 brass talon/claw and wood ball feet which were used extensively by the Merklen Brothers Furniture Company. The feet hold the raised base which is a graduated, turned wood design. The turned wood column features a large, carved pineapple or pine cone center detail. The thick top is quite nice and features quarter sawn wood. The stand retains the original flat screws and hardware. Beautiful Antique Brass and Onyx plant or Fern Stand Pedestal.
Beautiful Brass and Onyx plant/ fern stand. It appears to be consistent with American design and manufacture. I did not find a maker's mark on the stand. The stand appears to be in great condition with no apparent breaks. Damage, repairs or missing parts. The top and bottom pieces of onyx are very nice but have a couple of small oyster chips around edges but no cracks. The bottom legs are ornate brass. The legs holding the top shelf are onyx columns and brass columns with decorative pieces. I am not sure of the metal holding the onyx columns. A magnet does not stick to them. The stand is about 31 inches tall. The bottom shelf is 11.25" high. The top onyx 12" x 12" the bottom is 10" x 10" Both are 3/4 inch thick. The plant stand weights 25.8 pounds and will be disassembled for shipment.

Fancy Antique Brass Cast Iron & Oak Adjustable English Book Music Stand
For your consideration is this very nice antique book stand. It features brass and cast iron construction and was made by Carters Ltd of London. I believe it likely dates to either the very end of the 19th century or near the beginning of the 20th. The fully adjustable oak shelf tilts and swivels and will slide the full length of it's shaft support. The chased brass vertical upright is fully adjustable for height and sits on a fancy cast iron claw and ball footed base. The book shelf which measures 14x9" can be adjusted from 23" to 44" in height and is 33" as shown. The horizontal support is 15" long and the cast iron base is 13x13" Everything remains in very nice functional condition. This is a fantastic original antique Bradley& Hubbard two tier brass plant stand with onyx top in excellent condition throughout. All brass is excellent with nothing broken or missing. All pieces screw tightly together, and both tiers are numbered 1577 underneath and the top is signed B&H under the onyx piece. All brass pieces are incredibly ornate. The onyx is also excellent with no cracks or noticeable chips, but one of the corners has a tiny flake missing, and the bottom edge where is rests on the stand has a few tiny flakes. The bottom of the onyx has pencil markings that are difficult to read, but I can make out"Mrs. Henry Schmidt, Manitowoc, WIS" and it looks like it has a signature on the bottom. This came from an old Victorian home on Lake Michigan in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The stand measures about 16" square ... morex 31" H. THE ITEM MEASURES 13.75" X 13.75" X 29" TALL OVERALL. THE TOP TIER IS 12.75" X 12.75" AND THE BOTTOM IS 7.25" x 7.25" AND IS 10.25" FROPM THE FLOOR. THERE IS 18.75" BETWEEBN THE TOP AND BOTTOM TIER. THE PIECE OF TILE SITS IN THE TOP AND IS NOT PERMANENTLY FIXED. IT MEASURES 7 7/8" X 7 7/8" THE COLOR IS AN ANTIQUE GOLD/BRASS TONE WITH SOME COPPER TONES IN SOME PLACES. ANTIQUE BENTWOOD BALL & STICK ARTIST'S EASEL, Pat"d 1891, OAK & BRASS, 5'
This is from a local estate and has been in the same family since the late 1800's. The 2 brass supports or holders are stamped Pat'd Dec.8th 1891. It is about 5' tall. This has not been refinished or altered. Condition seems all original. There are a couple of paint spots on the lower bar. The wood is dried out and needs reconditioning. But is not cracked. All the fittings, including screws are brass. I will try to ship this UPS. Shipping will be $40.00. If it turns out less. I will refund the difference.
