It has three legs, all of which are long stems with blooming flowers. The petite feet are clawed. The two shelves are nicely shaped and feature a hammered design around the border. It is quite unusual to find embroidered upholstery that has been as well preserved as this in revived examples, and it brings an incredible amount of life to the chair. The arms are long and molded, with a soft cabriole form curving into intensely carved hand rests. Similarly molded arm supports rise to lock the arms in place, each arm flanking a broad tapestry upholstered seat of animal life amongst foliate designs. Antique Umbrella Stand / Cane Stand Mid 19TH Century Embossed 4 Sided Scenes
Here up for bid is a very nice well made antique mid 19th century brass umbrella/ cane stand that is 25" tall and is 10 1/4" square. It is 4 sided with different embossed scenes on each side. It has 4 lion paw feet and has a metal liner. Towards the bottom there is embossed onion shaped design. This stand had been professionally refinished and oxidized and lacquered. There is a seam all the way down one of the edges where it was join together when originally made. And shows the solder. See photos. The metal liner shows some kind of epoxy where it was repaired probably from a crack on the corners. It really is in very good condition for its age. The scenes look to be some kind of conquistadors. Antique pair of Edwardian marquetry pedestals stands 19th century
This pair of pedestals is each 43 inches tall. They are not an identical match. They are inlaid with urns on the front and near the top. They have borders made of an exotic wood. These are English from the Edwardian period. They date to the late 19 th or early 20 th century. Each pedestal has a little bit of veneer missing on a bottom corner. Antique Eastlake Victorian Quilt Rack; 19th Century, Walnut Towel Drying Stand
Up for bids we offer this Eastlake Victorian quilt rack in very good condition. Right out of an estate. This piece is all original and has not been restored. Made of walnut, the finish is well-preserved and not alligatored. This stand is still very sturdy and useful; it's not rickety or falling apart. It has three rods for hanging items on with two more matching ones at the bottom that serve as braces to keep the rack stable. As the photos show, it's ornate and would look great among other Victorian furniture but also is pretty enough to be used anywhere. It measures 23 inches long, 28 1/4 inches high and 10 5/8 inches wide. One small wooden peg-ornament is missing on one of the feet. VERY UNUSUAL antique victorian era plant stand. The stone top was probably hand painted and glazed somehow. I'm not an expert on what the materials etc are for this piece. I bought this many years ago from an estate sale and have loved it through the years. I remember the person I bought it from in Indianapolis said it had been in the family for years. It is in good shape as the pics show with various wear around the legs. The stone top has some crazing and there is one thin crack that goes from the edge to approx. 1/3 in towards the center- see last pic. It measures 31" tall. For your consideration is this gorgeously crafted and highly ornate. 19th century Chinese plant stand. It is either constructed of rosewood or teak. The shelf is fit with an octagon shaped marble top. The approximate measurements are 36" tall, 17" wide at the widest point, and 13-1/2" wide across the top. As for condition: This beautiful piece is in overall good condition for its age with normal age wear although the following are areas with other damage: Unfortunately. There is one foot missing. This does not interfere with its stability, but presents a visual weakness. There is also on the top decorated edge of the table top where the balls circle the complete edge around it. There are two small wood shaped balls the have a small chip on them, there is another ball that half is broken off. See photos. There is a hairline ... morecrack on one edge of the marble top(see image 9) On the inside bottom. Someone has re-glued around the legs most likely to make the stand sturdier. There is piece missing on one side in the center bottom of the ornate skirt that connected one side of a flower to the side of another flower. See photo. I approximate this missing piece at about one-half inch. Having presented the condition. One would have to still say this highly ornate piece is still spectacular and stunning. There is a plant stand very similar to this one that recently sold on eBay for close to $2,000 and some sellers are currently asking for more. However, to make a fair and proper adjustment for the condition issues this lovely piece has, we have opted to open the bidding at a much lower price to leave room for the owner to have the problem areas repaired if desired. Personally, I would put that leg with the missing toward a wall or corner so it was hidden from view. Here is an antique. Walnut, one-drawer, candle stand or night table. It is quite petite, measuring about 26&1/2" high, 17" wide, and 16&3/4" deep. There have been changes to the table, since it was made. If you look closely, at the photos, you will see that things are not where they originally were. The top may or may not be a replacement. There is some wear to the top. The bottom of the drawer is a replacement. One of the sides has been turned upside down. Regardless of the changes, this is a very nice and usable table. The stand would serve as a decorative element-it is circa mid-to-late 1800s in the Arts& Crafts period& design with raised relief deep inset iron scroll work. A central twisted-trellis iron rod, and a twisted iron ring finial at top which is lovely and quite large. The iron finial twists onto top threaded rod-see close-up pic provided of this area-there is a nut or iron washer-or something of that nature missing/absent as there is a space between the finial and the end of the rod where you can see threads-the finial fits on well but a washer or something similar would make up the space and cover the exposed threads-please see pics provided of this feature described. Up for consideration is an exceptional French Louis XVI late 19th century Torchiere/ Plant Stand/ Stand. The piece measures 51" inches tall by about 18 inches across the base with an opening at the top of 8 inches. These stands could be used for a few functions. With a piece of Marble on the top they were used as a stand for a lamp. or object of Art. with the top removed a plant stand. Absolutely stunning American Rococo style cast iron hall tree/ umbrella stand. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. This hall tree stands 79" tall. Measures about 28" wide, and approximately 15" deep. I believe this is likely mid 19th Century based on comparable hall trees I have researched. Very heavy, heavy piece, parts of it do come apart- mainly the coat/clothes hooks, and the top piece. There is a separate umbrella tray that comes out. The mirror rotates and is on a ball joint. Beautiful design appears to represent flowing branches, leaves, and flowers and at the top of the mirror a beautiful eagle. Antique French Carved 19th Cent Angel Wing Satyr Mask Stand Torchiere 57" Table
Up for consideration is a fine Antique 19th Century Torchiere or lamp stand. It stands about 58" inches tall by 22 inches deep by about 16 inches wide. The top measures about 14 inches square. The piece has a hand carved Angel holding a Family Shield Crest with 3 castles Water with a crown above the Crest. The back side of the stand is plain and it's overall design is more or less that of an easel. The piece is heavy well made. Finely carved piece with great form. Above the crown is the mask of a Satyr. The carving is well done extra fine and life like details. The piece dates from about the 1870's or so. There is an age split. Antique Walnut stand, Ido Banzai Plant stand, 19th. c.
Offered is a Japanese. Antique, walnut stand for a banzai, garden urn, highly unusual and dating from sometime in the 19th c. It has the old square headed and round headed nails and I don’t know how long its been in the States, perhaps coming over at the end of WW11. It measures approximately 9 ½ x 11 ½ inches and is 4 ¼“inches high. It will add an added grace and dimension to the right bonsai plant especially as the plant ages, a perfect marriage.

An American Rococo Revival rosewood and maple étagère. Circa 1845– 1860. Possibly J. and J.W. Meeks. Carved urn and C-scroll crest over a domed mirror with C-scroll frame flanked by shelves with undulating edges and elaborate scroll work. The shelves are supported by spool turned poles topped with urn finials. The center step top base has a variegated black marble top with undulating edge flanked by two undulating tops with gadrooned edges. The center has a door with elaborate scroll fretwork opening to reveal a maple interior with undulating shelves. The legs are a dramatic cabriole shape ending in scroll feet. The apron is carved with a floral and scroll edge. A scroll carved cross stretcher conjoins with a central open urn. Measurements: 110” H x 44” W x 25” deep, approximately. This piece has been in my family for almost a hundred ... moreyears. It's being sold my family home. It has been recently cleaned and had a few minor issues repaired by a local New Orleans antique repair person. And it's ready to display in that special home.
