Hand Carved Teak Umbrella Stand Holder - Uniquely Crafted - One Solid Piece
This is an umbrella stand that has been inherited from my wife's parents. It looked great in our living room. But we since have down sized our abode and have to let a few things go. So, here it is. It is beautiful. A deep reddish brown color that did not come out of a can, it is the natural exotic teak wood valued for its fine natural grain. The outside of the stand is a plethora of carvings, I am not sure what to call them so will let the pictures do what I cannot. The stand is 26 inches tall and 10 inches across. There is a removable top on the inside. Also of teak. On the bottom is a plastic bowl, to hold any rain water falling from a deposited umbrella. The bottom has a stamp on it. Shown is a picture, Made in Indonesia" I am unsure of the stand's age. This stand is heavy. It weighs almost 20 pounds. As I was taking pictures. ... moreI wondered how the carver was able to hollow out the wood, and then have the outer area to carve, I think I have it figured out. What I do know is, this took a long time to make, and who knows what travels it has been on, and where it will go. I started selling on Ebay when Ebay was new to the world. 2 Birds Shabby Antique Needlepoint Victorian Wall Umbrella Holder & Metal Insert
True Victorian era carved wood wall pocket(umbrella holder) with two carved birds at the top sides also embellished with carved oak leaves throughout. It measures 15" wide at the top and 25" high. As above mentioned. There is a portion of the oak-leaf gone at the lower left as reflected in photo 5 and other pics. Also, there are some old mends. this is still a solid strong piece and, though I am sure will probably to be used as a small umbrella holder, it is still functional as one.

Antique "The Sikes Company" Cane/Umbrella Holder
This is a mission style oak cane/umbrella holder or stand. The Sikes Company was established in 1859-1956. It moved to Philadephia. PA in 1904-1906 from Buffalo, NY. My research shows that they moved back to New York in 1916. Stand has some spots of paint on it. There are a few dings here and there, but overall its in good condition. I believe it is the original finish but I am not sure. Has removeable tray at the bottom and what looks to be copper lined. Metal may be brass around the feet. Cane / Umbrella Holder in Leather with Beautiful Escutcheon - 16 1/2" Tall
Very unusual. Beautifully crafted, cane/ umbrella holder completely made in full-grain(heavy) leather, dating likely from the late 1800s to early 1900s. What makes this piece so special, besides its classy appearance, is that the piece is completely made of leather, including the inside and the bottom of the piece(see last two pictures) The top and bottom rims are double- and stitched layers to secure the oval shape. There are some minor scratches inside and out. And a couple of areas that show some color differentiation but generally it's in beautiful condition for its age. It has the patina of antique. There are two handles attached on the side and a great escutcheon on the front as well as large brass-colored studs around the top. All of these show some wear and appear to be brass in color but not material. The holder measures 16 1/2" ... moretall by 10" across by 8 1/2" deep(oval) I did my best to capture the style and quality in pictures.
