Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. It is actually not all that easy to tell because it is an inside hook. There is also one hook on the center column near the figural Lion's Head which has some damage. All of the large eight cast iron hooks on the top two sections are in perfect condition with no damage! The entire body and base is in perfect condition as well, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The patina to the cast iron is all original and we left it in 100% all original, as found, untouched condition. Here is an antique wooden coat or hat rack with carvings that bring to mind Eastlake pieces. This is an estate sale find. And I was told it is made of walnut from the 1800s. I am not an expert so I have included many photos of both the front and back of the pieces. Based on the back, I would say that this is the original finish. 1886 Antique Oak Wall Criss Cross Mission-Style Hat & Coat Rack
This is an antique coat. Glove and hat rack. It is stamped on the back and carved into the wood on the back"MAR 31, 1885& SEPT 14, 1886" It is approximately 32" wide, 20" high and 9" deep. I think that the wood is oak. It is in good condition for its age. The metal brackets are intact and have just a little surface rust. The mirror is foggy due to age and the material that it is made of. There are hooks attached to it for hanging. I love this item! It is very unusual. This item comes from a smoke/pet free home. Has no cracks or chips, but has some streakiness and cloudiness throughout due to age. There is a newer cardboard backing and two hangers attached to the back for wall hanging. Late Victorian walnut floor coat/hat racks are hard to find. This solid walnut coat/hat rack is c. 1890-1910. It appears to be in the original finish with a consistent patina. There are no repairs or breaks that I have found. The brass ball is in great shape. I am not sure if there was a finial of some type that went on top of the brass ball. A beveled 13 1/2" square angled mirror and four Gargoyle hat/coat hooks adorn this beautiful piece. The four hat stands plus all the pegs swing open and close to desired position. Made of mahogany wood, it has survived in wonderful condition. There is some age to the finish as shown, as well as one bottom peg was replaced sometime during its life. I think this adds to the charm of the item, but you are to decide. Victorian Hat Rack Hall Mirror STEER HORNS
This is an antique Victorian hall mirror. Adorned with steer horns, and Victorian hooks for hats. This is from my parents estate. Although I suspect that the horns may have been added later. I do know that for all of my 60+ years they have been proudly topping this mirror. The horns span 25" from tip to tip. The mirror is 39 1/2" tall and 30" wide. From wall to horn tip. It juts out 13 1/2" The mirror is beveled. But there are scratches on it from inconsiderate movers. One of the hooks is original. The long one the London top hat is on. The others are from the era, but my guess is that they are replacements, and need antique screws to complete them. The mirror was originally in my great grandfathers office in Chicago, and passed to my parents in 1951. There are two holes in the wood where the mirror was affixed securely ... moreto the wall. 1800's antique cherry stick and ball hall mirror hat and coat rack philadelphia
for sale about the nicest stick and ball hall mirror. Hat, coat rack i have ever owned. it is presented in its original finish. i do not believe there is a piece missing anywhere and if there is any damage of any kind it is so small i have over looked it. at any rate, a wonderful cherry stick and ball hanging mirror with hat and coat hooks, 6 or them. the mirror is bad, however, it is original. if i sell it and the new owner wants me to remove the old silver and back the old glass with a new mirror i will do so for the cost of a new mirror. that would be less than 20 dollars, probably about 12.00. the mirror is 12 inches by 12 inches. the piece is 32 inches wide and 24 inches tall. it has a nicely carved crest at the top. all the fret work is perfect as far as i can tell. the very nice all brass hooks are 4 inches long and a couple have minor ... morebends in them, which could be corrected with little effort. the back over the mirror was a bit loose so i took it off so i could re nail it. in doing so, i discovered and newspaper which was the philadelphia ledger and was dated like 1884 i think, it should show in the picture i have listed. anyway, this paper was folded to keep the mirror from moving within the frame. i do not know if that was placed there when the piece was made and done so at a later date. at any rate, the mirror probably was made or originated in or about philadelphia. it is a fantastic piece, the pictures are terrible, it is 100 times nicer in person. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. i expect it will go usps for about 30 or 40.00. good luck

This beautiful antique coat/hat rack was made by the London based company. Heweston Miller& Thexton. They orignated in the early 1800's and were considered a high end furniture crafter. They were located on the famous Tottenham Road, also known as furniture road. This piece is wall hanging and is approximately 3' in height, 2' in length and 1" in depth(not including the hand carved flower/leaves that protrude) It has 8 dowels for hanging of coats or hats. The center of the piece displays a flower in a pot. It is absolutely unique and I have never seen anything like this. It has five nicely decorated iron double hooks connected with steel rods. The top hook sticks out about 2 1/8" from the base and the bottom hook sticks out about 1 1/4" from the base. The top rack part sticks up about 6" from the base. The wood was carved out to hold the hooks- The wood is in great condition- and the finish appears age appropriate. Here is a hard-to-find old wall rack for hats and coats. These were used on trains and train stations. In offices and banks and other commercial places. Today. We want them for our homes. This one measures 31" long and the hooks come out almost 7" from the wall. The hooks are in great shape with no cracks or breaks. The back board is oak and is original. It is stamped"Udell's hat& Coat Rack Udell's W W Works Indianapolis" on the back. The back board has been painted black. Has a crack and several mounting holes drilled into it. The hat rack dowel is pine and has a small split in each end where they put the mounting screw in. Not a perfect piece but will work perfectly and at a great price.
