Hard to find all brass. Not plated, victorian stand. And all original. If you remove the bottom round onyx piece you will see an underlying brass design(see third and forth photos) which explains why these are usually lost. Really a graceful design. Other than a couple of replaced screws. Under the second platform where you can not see the. This is amazingly all original. and a great size too. About 31" tall and the top is 15" square I will try to ship as seen but may have to dissemble due to large increase in shipping costs(triple) for oversized packages. shipping does include excellent packing. Rare and unusual fern or plant stand, or it could be a stand for a jardiniere. at any rate, it is a neat piece to say the least. it is hexagon in shape and the sides( 6 or them) are all bombayed and serpentine. it is quartersawn oak to perfection. no damages to note, mint condition, all original except it has been refinished, another painted piece, mercy. i have included a picture of a piece that is very much like this one. the book it is in has a copyright of 1998, so it is 15 years old. it list the piece between 650 and 700. i paid 350 years ago and had to refinish it. at any rate, i am starting it at what i have in it cash outlay. it may be picked up at my home or shipped usps or fedex or ups for less than 50.00 i would think. shipping is buyer's expense, should you do the buy it now, i will pay the shipping. good luck. sorry ... morei forgot the dimensions, it is 16.5 inches across the top diagonally, each of the 6 sides is about 8.5 inches wide. it stands about 18.5 inches tall

Rare Ebonized Renaissance Victorian Pedestal Fern Stand Kilian Brothers NY
Another rare piece of Victorian style furniture this one out of my personal collection. I have never seen a model as this one is. A very unique version with four separate surfaces one of which is top elevated and the other three extending on arms with gold incised lines. The finish is Ebonized in a black lacquer and has some red painted incised lines and looks to be gold leaf in other places. A true museum piece that showcases the many dimensioned of the Victorian era. I purchased this from the Brown Mansion estate out side of Alexandria Va and the entire estate had a rich history. This listing is for a beautiful and rare Antique Berkey& Gay Fern Stand. The signature logo indicates that this piece was made before 1900. I believe the stand is made of mahogany. It measures approximately 36" high and 17" wide at the top. The stand is in good original condition with a lovely patina and appears to have been well cared for. There is a break in the wicker on one side panel as well as a nick on the bottom wicker. The pail to hold a plant also looks original. This was an estate find from Fleetville. PA. Offered is a Bradley and Hubbard Aesthetic Movement fern stand with Longwy pottery tile and vase. This is one of the rarer and most desirable models of the Aesthetic Movement brass stands. Identical stands have been featured in museum collections and exhibitions. Some have likened it's style to a"rocket" It is definitely an elaborate and highly styled example of fine metal work by Bradley and Hubbard. Only mark is Pat' Appl' For on bottom of top. There is a crack running the length of one of the four straight brass supports which surrounds the vase at the bottom. Beautiful Antique Brass and Onyx plant or Fern Stand Pedestal.
Beautiful Brass and Onyx plant/ fern stand. It appears to be consistent with American design and manufacture. I did not find a maker's mark on the stand. The stand appears to be in great condition with no apparent breaks. Damage, repairs or missing parts. The top and bottom pieces of onyx are very nice but have a couple of small oyster chips around edges but no cracks. The bottom legs are ornate brass. The legs holding the top shelf are onyx columns and brass columns with decorative pieces. I am not sure of the metal holding the onyx columns. A magnet does not stick to them. The stand is about 31 inches tall. The bottom shelf is 11.25" high. The top onyx 12" x 12" the bottom is 10" x 10" Both are 3/4 inch thick. The plant stand weights 25.8 pounds and will be disassembled for shipment.

f you like the look of objects with patina and a past. Here's a find for you. Available is a vintage antique Victorian fern stand. If a darkened patina is what you are after, this fern stand certainly has it. Some may wish to polish the metal. I like the way it looks darkened from time. It's a true object from the past. I believe the metal is brass, but I am not sure. It measures 30 inches tall. The metal top is 13 inches square, the marble piece is 8 inches square. The legs do not go straight down, they flare out a bit. They make a 16 inch square. I don't know the exact year this was made, or the maker. I am listing it as a fern stand. Up for auction is a great antique folk art oak plant stand with hand carved turtle base. This is cool!A bit hard to age.I'd guess from 1880's-1920's. It is approx. 26" tall. 9" x 9" across the top and 9" x 10" at the base. The post is lathe turned with carved details. The top is attached w/ an old flat head screw. There is a slight crack and a couple rings. The finish is original and alligatored with age. There are a couple fissures in the post but this is quite sturdy.not for sitting on but it definitally could hold a plant or whatnot. Antique Victorian fern stand in the manner of Hunzinger
Up for auction is a fine example of a Victorian fern stand. Perfect to hold a potted plant. Or for use as a small nightstand/accent piece. It is in excellent condition, and appears to have been refinished at some point in time. The piece below the top, where the three spindles attach was split and repaired at some time, but it isn't visible unless you really look for it. If you look closely at the first picture in the listing, you can see the break in the ring where the three spindles join the top. The majority of the stand is walnut and the top appears to be pine. I'm guessing that the top was originally ebonized, but the refinisher decided to clear coat it. The stand is 31 inches tall, and the top is just over 13 inches in diameter. This is a vintage hand made solid cherry fern or corner table stand. The stand has a beautiful reddish finish. The entire piece is solid cherry. The shaft is a turned design. The top measures 15 by 15 inches and the entire stand is almost 31 inches tall. This stand was made in the 70s and is in excellent condition. XLNT Antique Brass & Onyx B&H Bradley & Hubbard Two Tier Plant Fern Stand Table
This is a fantastic original antique Bradley& Hubbard two tier brass plant stand with onyx top in excellent condition throughout. All brass is excellent with nothing broken or missing. All pieces screw tightly together, and both tiers are numbered 1577 underneath and the top is signed B&H under the onyx piece. All brass pieces are incredibly ornate. The onyx is also excellent with no cracks or noticeable chips, but one of the corners has a tiny flake missing, and the bottom edge where is rests on the stand has a few tiny flakes. The bottom of the onyx has pencil markings that are difficult to read, but I can make out"Mrs. Henry Schmidt, Manitowoc, WIS" and it looks like it has a signature on the bottom. This came from an old Victorian home on Lake Michigan in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The stand measures about 16" square ... morex 31" H. It will be disassembled, packed very well, and insured during shipping.
