The mirror glass alone measures 18 ¾” in width and 39” in height. The beautiful finish on this hall tree appears to be original and the patina of the rich walnut wood is absolutely fabulous! This gorgeous Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Period Marble Top Hall Tree is adorned with a magnificent incised and dimensionally carved spade and scroll center crown with carved center shield along with elegant drapes and a fancy pediment that consists of crown moulding. Along with raised burl panel accents. The shoulder area beneath the crown is graced with fully turned drop finials. The mirror is framed in beautiful moulding. Eight lovely period turned wooden hat and coat posts are found on this beautiful Hall Tree. Impressive Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut& Burl Marble Top Etagere c1875 Being presented for sale is this Impressive Victorian Renaissance Revival Walnut& Burl Walnut marble top Etagere circa 1875. This majestic 19th century piece is positively stunning and features an ornately carved crest. Raised panels of burl walnut, carved rosettes, incised carvings, the original mirrors and the original recessed beveled edge marble top, with shaped walnut display shelves flanking the center mirror. Truly a grand statement piece you would be proud to showcase in your home. This fabulous étagère measures 105 1/2 inches( 8' 9 1/2" in total height. Height to the marble at the base is 29 3/4 inches, with a total width of 54 inches and total depth at the base of 19 inches and this étagère weighs approximately 250 ... morelbs total but does dis-assemble into 3 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The original mirror at the center measures 46 3/4 inches in height by 22 1/2 inches wide. This Victorian étagère is in fantastic antique condition. The original mirrors do show some mild spidering silver loss as common with old mirrors. And the original white beveled edge recessed marble top has no chips or cracks but does have some mild discoloration as age appropriate. There is also a small age shrinkage area to the wood by the bottom mirror on the right side see picture of close-up, and a piece of burl veneer missing on the left side towards the back; see close up picture. Neither of these affects the integrity or beauty this elegant piece offers. The locks are intact on the drawer and the cabinet below but the key provided just aids in opening the drawer and the cabinet. This hall tree has a dramatic crest with 6 brass hat coat hooks that flank the mirror with carved walnut umbrella arms for canes& umbrellas on each side of the marble top. Rare Victorian Renaissance Revival Pedestal - Ebonized, Incised And Gilded
Offered for auction is this massive Renaissance Revival Victorian pedestal. It is larger that the pictures make it look. But I have to stand back to get it all in the photo. Made of solid walnut with ebonized and gilded details. Also has incised carving on the base. Original finish. Mostly likely had a stone or marble top at one point, but someone has done a really nice job of adding a walnut top to the piece. This is not a recent addition and appears to have been done many years ago. Pedestals frequently would get bumped or knocked over damaging the stone tops. Suspect that may have happened here. This is a very substantial piece, perfect to display that special art object. Somewhat unusual form that would also work well in an Eastlake Aesthetic period interior. Some minor gilding loss, especially on the base(see photos) and some scuffs/scratches ... moreto the base. There also appears to be some detail missing from either side of the pedestal in the middle(see last photo) but unsure what this would have been and it does not detract, I owned this piece for awhile before I even realized that this little detail was gone. I mention these things to be accurate, but this is an outstanding piece and none of these issues(which are age appropriate) detract from the beauty of this pedestal. Gorgeous Victorian Renaissance Revival Plant Stand/Table
Offered for auction is another piece from my personal collection. A gorgeous Victorian Renaissance Revival stand. Original finish. Has incised carving which retains some of the original gilding. Numerous button finials top the ends and sides of the legs. The top appears to have been a replacement, but it is not a recent replacement. This piece likely originally had a picture frame marble top, but I acquired it as you see it now. The current wood top has fabulous grain and pattern. No cracks or separations to the pieces. Some minor scuffs and a couple of the finials have chipped tips, but nothing that detracts. A very stable and very heavy stand. Just a great piece in really good original finish.
