It is tight and sturdy, scroll front legs, lift top seat, applied carving on the base and shapely mirror top. The overall size is 36 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 29 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 17 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 28 inches high to the arms and the overall height is 84 inches. Art Deco Style Oak Ball & Stick Coat/Hat & Umbrella Stand With Brass Hardware
We are pleased to offer this funky coat rack. This is done in the art deco style. There are no tags with a maker on this piece. We believe this is from the mid to late 40's possibly early 50's. The rack stands 62.56" high. The top has round balls for hanging hats. The balls are attached to three stick style wooden posts that end with matching ball feet. Near the top of the rack there is a large ball in the center of the tripod that holds the piece together. There are three hooks with backplates screwed through the poles and into the ball. The sides of the posts have brass hooks with decorative round scallop edge button backs. These are the pieces that run through the posts into the ball. Three quarters of the way down the rack there are hooks on each pole to hold a chain for the umbrella tray. This section of chain is missing. ... moreThere is a second row of hooks with chains attached to the base plate closer to the bottom. The umbrella plate sits at the base of the tripod. It is made from wood and has carvings and decorative brass accents on the outer rim. There are chains attched to the sides that connect to the hooks on the poles. There are age and use appropriate scratches dings and scuffs on this. Overall the condition on this is great. This is one of those unusual hard to find items that is sure to add an interesting and artistic presence to a foyer or corner. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. Charming antique quilt stand or rack. Classic Victorian stick-and-ball design. Beautifully bent dome shape at the top of each side. Two whimsically curved feet support the structure. Overall. The stand is in good estate condition. One rail is missing from the piece. For the most part the stand is sturdy, but it does wobble a little end to end. No wobble side to side. Some wear to feet. This a great looking etagere from the 1800s. It has four shelves and is made of oak. With brass accents and a mirror. Measures 52" tall x 17-1/2" wide x 12-1/2" deep. The stained and varnished scroll-sawed back is of plywood and does not appear to be original to the piece. It is nailed to the back edge of the shelves and could be removed. Up or auction is an INCREDIBLE antique late 1890's-1920's Arts& Crafts Ball& Stick solid oak hall tree. This is a wonderful example of ball and stick design. There are 5! beveled glass mirrors and wonderful carvings to go with the top. Middle and lower ball& stick galleries. So much work went into this. There is a hammered brass umbrella stand with barley twist bars to hold the tops. There are WONDERFUL Eastlake style coat hangers all present and matching. The are mounted to turned wood disks that float with sticks inside a wood frame. There is a real show piece hand carved oak detail of raised rectangles at the main center that is just incredible to think it was hand carved. Two matching sun ray designs are above and below the mirror. Lastly there is a wonderful little drawer below the seat with telling joinery that dates ... morethis to the machine age. The corner joints are routered pins and holes in half round circles(Anyone who knows the name of this joinery I would love to know) This piece measures 83" tall x 29" wide x 16" deep. It is not a huge piece. In fact I believe the top crown to have been added to give height to this piece. I only have a very slight color change to go by and VERY WELL may be wrong but perhaps the house this was going into needed a little more height. There are little flame points at the top and ball and stick with the square posts matching perfectly so it is an old addition if at all. You can see how it would look with out it as this comes right out of its four mount holes. This is a piece to see in person. I would never hold you to an auction for a piece of furniture that you only saw pictures of. Feel free to bid and if this piece isn't as incredible to you and I think it is. very rare antique stick and ball oak magazine stand or rack folds up for storage
for auction is a hard to find antique magazine rack or stand. antique magazine stands just don't come along very often. at any rate. This is a neat one. oak stick and ball. it has the original finish, brass rings, perfect antique condition. there are no loose joints, no missing parts. it is very sturdy and ready to use. when open for use it is 40 inches tall, 13.5 inches deep, and 19.5 inches wide. the diagonal braces on the sides are pegged on and come off with little effort. this allows the magazine rack to fold up for storage. when folded up it is 52.5 inches tall. and just 2 or 3 inches thick, so it can be put under a bed or behind a door or whatever for storage. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. it can go ups, usps, or fedex to list a few avenues of delivery.

This is a beautiful Victorian era oak stick and ball music stand or bookcase dating to around 1890. PLEASE NOTE: the outdoor pictures came out a bit too red in color.the stand has a rich. Warm walnut colored original finish. The stand features a beautiful bentwood lyre center crest accented with brass bandings. The entire stand has elaborate stick and ball spindled turnings including the front, sides and back. Please also notice that the top of the front legs have brass caps with ball finials which are missing on some others I have seen on ebay. This is from a local estate and has been in the same family since the late 1800's. The 2 brass supports or holders are stamped Pat'd Dec.8th 1891. It is about 5' tall. This has not been refinished or altered. Condition seems all original. There are a couple of paint spots on the lower bar. The wood is dried out and needs reconditioning. But is not cracked. All the fittings, including screws are brass. I will try to ship this UPS. Shipping will be $40.00. If it turns out less. I will refund the difference.
