Allowing easy access to your overnight bag, and a great Mid Century Modern look. These were used in the Modern era by many hotels. And you can still find metal inexpensive ones in some hotels. This one is all wood construction. Opens and closes easily and is designed to be held in the'open' position with three attractive ribbon straps. The straps that are on the stand are original. But one has broken/torn, see picts. You may be able to patch it from the backside, but I have also purchased some inexpensive cloth ribbon to that you can see how easy it would be to totally change the look. Customizing it to your decor. This cloth ribbon was purchased at Walmart for 59 cents a yard. Yes less then $2.00 for yards. At that price you could change the straps to match a holiday decor or even to customize it to the rooms that you might use it in. See picts. Customizing the'straps' to match your decor.Will definitely add that very'put together' look, see picts. When opened up it measures approx. 20 inches tall. By 14 inches deep, and 22 1/4 inches wide. When closed up it measures approx. 24 1/2 inches tall. By 5 inches deep, and 22 1/4 inches wide. The wood frame has the scuffs and wear that you expect on a used vintage piece of furniture. ANTIQUE VINTAGE CANE UMBRELLA PLANT STAND OCTAGONAL MAHOGANY VICTORIAN BEDPOST
24" tall. 11" diameter cane or umbrella stand. Octagonal column is constructed of solid mahogany boards, molding around the bottom is also mahogany, four feet are veneered. I think that this stand was made from the bottom section of a mid-Victorian bed post from a tester bed. If you are familiar with beds made by cabinetmakers like Mallard or Lee, the octagonal form was very popular. For whatever reason(fashion, low ceilings) a bed was taken apart and the lowest section of a bedpost was repurposed as a hall stand with the addition of four scroll feet- that look like they came from a Victorian footstool and two handles on the side that look like sections of molding. The reconfiguration was not done recently- the nails holding the feet in show some surface rust and the screws attaching the bottom panel are not new either. The reimagining ... moreof the bedpost was probably done in the mid 20th century or before. It makes an interesting history and I think it makes a very handsome and impressive looking stand for your canes or umbrellas. It would make a great stand for a fern or other houseplant too. The finish on the wood is old. The mahogany has a lovely dark red color. There is finish wear and some scratches and marks, the veneer is quite worn on the feet. There is a split on one of the eight panels that would be an easy fix with wood glue and some strap clamps. It has a metal catch pan in the bottom. This is an old English piece. It is in good condition other than a split in the top near where the umbrellas enter. This really does not affect the piece a great deal but it could be repaired with some glue and a clamp. ANTIQUE VINTAGE OLD VICTORIAN CAST HALL CARD STAND GRIFFINS ART DECO NOUVEAU
This is a rare and gorgeous 3 legged cast iron victorian stand that I believe was used for communion. It has a beautiful original rich gold paint and a very victorian feel to the detailing of the piece. It shows light signs of wear consistent with the piece but overall just a stunning piece in 100% original condition including the original chains which is amazing. The three characters on the piece appear to be classic griffin characters. This piece does come disassembled to protect this antique piece in shipping though to put it back together means simply screwing in about 6 screws so it is quite simple. Vintage Antique Brass Table Top Towel, Tie or Hat Rack, Ornate Base
Up for Auction is a Brass Vintage Antique Victorian Style Table Top Towel. Tie or Hat Rack. Has wear with age but overall in good working shape. Easy to diasassemble for storage or cleaning. Parts screw on and off as seen in last picture. There is minor rust on the threads of some screws but not visible when assembled. It doesnt interfere with taking the pieces on and off either. Im pretty sure this is an old Towel Rack for a large Sink but could be used as a hat or tie rack on a vanity just as well. Measures spprox 11" tall by 10" wide at ends of top rack pieces. Antique/Vintage Mission - Arts & Craft Styled and Detailed Wooden Hall Tree
You are looking at a Wonderfully Detailed Arts& Craft or Mission Style Wooden Hall Tree. This fabulous Hall Tree is 5'5" tall and 22 inches wide at the base& is structurally in excellent condition. There are four brass or bronze hooks- one on each of the four sides. Each hook has two parts. So technically there are eight places to hang your hats. Umbrellas, or coats. The larger hooks are quite detailed in the Arts and Crafts design style. Just below the hooks are two areas having knots in the wood- where branches had once been a part of the tree this wood came from. I have taken pictures of these areas please look at them carefully. The finish at the top of the piece is showing some mottling of the stain. At the base there is some chipping or rubbing of the stain and the original wood color is showing through. Antique Coat Rack This is a fantastic old cast iron and wood rack for coats and hats. There are six cast iron hooks that have some marvelous detail. There are two cast iron loops on either side to hang this on the wall. In addition there are a couple holes in the wood where it was secured. This likely dates back to the late 1800's or early 1900's. This is in solid condition and ready for use. Both the wood and the hooks do show some age which adds to its primitive charm. Antique Preachers Bible Stand vintage late 1800's Oak 18"L x 14"W x 12" H
This is an antique Bible Stand which was most likely on the pulpit of a local church up here in Northern Wisconsin. As you can see it is ornately carved and I believe it to be oak. The dimensions are 18" long x 14" wide and it stands 12" high. There is some ware with the corners so please examine pictures for a true representation of this before bidding. Thank you.
