Art Deco Style Oak Ball & Stick Coat/Hat & Umbrella Stand With Brass Hardware
We are pleased to offer this funky coat rack. This is done in the art deco style. There are no tags with a maker on this piece. We believe this is from the mid to late 40's possibly early 50's. The rack stands 62.56" high. The top has round balls for hanging hats. The balls are attached to three stick style wooden posts that end with matching ball feet. Near the top of the rack there is a large ball in the center of the tripod that holds the piece together. There are three hooks with backplates screwed through the poles and into the ball. The sides of the posts have brass hooks with decorative round scallop edge button backs. These are the pieces that run through the posts into the ball. Three quarters of the way down the rack there are hooks on each pole to hold a chain for the umbrella tray. This section of chain is missing. ... moreThere is a second row of hooks with chains attached to the base plate closer to the bottom. The umbrella plate sits at the base of the tripod. It is made from wood and has carvings and decorative brass accents on the outer rim. There are chains attched to the sides that connect to the hooks on the poles. There are age and use appropriate scratches dings and scuffs on this. Overall the condition on this is great. Being offered for sale is this Splendid English Victorian Carved Oak Hall Tree/ Umbrella Stand with Carved Winged Dragons circa 1890's. This antique hall tree would make a fabulous foyer/ entrance way piece perfect for having those coats. Wraps, jackets and umbrellas conveniently at the door. We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The original finish does have wear and shows some loss in areas. And the mirror ... moredoes have some mild cloudiness and streaking as age appropriate. There is an old repair around the head of the winged dragon on the left that appears tight and secure and appears to have been done some time ago.not real noticeable unless close inspection. Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. I even believe that the mirror is possibly original as well, with only some minor discoloration to the silvering. It has the original removeable bottom tray to rest your canes and umbrellas. This a great find from an estate we just acquired.It is an umbrella stand that has a cast iron base and shaft which has a ball representing the handle of an umbrella.The shaft is surrounded with hand sewn heavy leather crafted as 5 folds to hold umbrellas.It is 28.5" tall overall. Has a width of 14"across the top,and the cast iron base is 5" across.In researching this form I have found similar examples in decorated metal mostly recent vintage. I have not found a similar example. Rare Mid 1800's Cast Iron Dog. Umbrella/Cane Hall Tree Stand, Nice! I am selling a mid 1800's victorian cast iron umbrella/Cane hall tree stand. It has the plate that goes in bottom and that is pretty rare to find. According to the research I got on these. It says in book that these were made from 1883-1886 with this particular design, then they made a design almost identical around late 1800's that had a rabbit, then early 1900's they changed it to a duck instead of a rabbit, all 3 designs had the same large dog background. It has two canes held together by what looks to be a collar and a head of a whippet on one and a horse on the other. It has the number 12 on the dog tag. It is about 25" tall, 13 1/2" w and 8" deep. Hand Carved Teak Umbrella Stand Holder - Uniquely Crafted - One Solid Piece
This is an umbrella stand that has been inherited from my wife's parents. It looked great in our living room. But we since have down sized our abode and have to let a few things go. So, here it is. It is beautiful. A deep reddish brown color that did not come out of a can, it is the natural exotic teak wood valued for its fine natural grain. The outside of the stand is a plethora of carvings, I am not sure what to call them so will let the pictures do what I cannot. The stand is 26 inches tall and 10 inches across. There is a removable top on the inside. Also of teak. On the bottom is a plastic bowl, to hold any rain water falling from a deposited umbrella. The bottom has a stamp on it. Antique bench/ umbrella stand that is a great size to fit into a small entry foyer or hallway. We bought this at an estate sale years ago in an exclusive neighborhood in Little Rock. AR, and no longer have space for it. Size is 32" wide by 34" high by 13.5" deep. We think the wood is oak. I do not know the age of the item as I'm not an antique expert. We paid about $200 for it at least 15 years ago, and just want to find it a new home. The wood is dry(it has been in our basement storage area for several years) tung oil will restore it nicely. Antique Umbrella Stand / Cane Stand Mid 19TH Century Embossed 4 Sided Scenes
Here up for bid is a very nice well made antique mid 19th century brass umbrella/ cane stand that is 25" tall and is 10 1/4" square. It is 4 sided with different embossed scenes on each side. It has 4 lion paw feet and has a metal liner. Towards the bottom there is embossed onion shaped design. This stand had been professionally refinished and oxidized and lacquered. There is a seam all the way down one of the edges where it was join together when originally made. And shows the solder. See photos. The metal liner shows some kind of epoxy where it was repaired probably from a crack on the corners. It really is in very good condition for its age. The scenes look to be some kind of conquistadors. There are irregularities from shrinkage and small mars at the edges for antique character. A brass rail held canes and umbrellas over the tin pan for drips at the bottom. ANTIQUE VINTAGE CANE UMBRELLA PLANT STAND OCTAGONAL MAHOGANY VICTORIAN BEDPOST
24" tall. 11" diameter cane or umbrella stand. Octagonal column is constructed of solid mahogany boards, molding around the bottom is also mahogany, four feet are veneered. I think that this stand was made from the bottom section of a mid-Victorian bed post from a tester bed. If you are familiar with beds made by cabinetmakers like Mallard or Lee, the octagonal form was very popular. For whatever reason(fashion, low ceilings) a bed was taken apart and the lowest section of a bedpost was repurposed as a hall stand with the addition of four scroll feet- that look like they came from a Victorian footstool and two handles on the side that look like sections of molding. The reconfiguration was not done recently- the nails holding the feet in show some surface rust and the screws attaching the bottom panel are not new either. The reimagining ... moreof the bedpost was probably done in the mid 20th century or before. It makes an interesting history and I think it makes a very handsome and impressive looking stand for your canes or umbrellas. It would make a great stand for a fern or other houseplant too. The finish on the wood is old. The mahogany has a lovely dark red color. There is finish wear and some scratches and marks, the veneer is quite worn on the feet. There is a split on one of the eight panels that would be an easy fix with wood glue and some strap clamps. It is nice solid oak wood construction. It is a nice heavily carved antiqe European piece. It measures 28 1/2 inches tall and 16 3/4 inches on each side. It has a bow front. It has a metal catch pan in the bottom. This is an old English piece. It is in good condition other than a split in the top near where the umbrellas enter. This really does not affect the piece a great deal but it could be repaired with some glue and a clamp. I have chosen to leave it with the break as I think it adds character and it does not impede the use of the piece. Carving along rim of tray. Early 1800s/late 1700s. Appears to be an early American piece. Since I bought it with a Shaker table and ladderback chairs. This is an absolutely beautiful solid walnut Victorian hall tree/umbrella stand. It measures 73 inches tall. 32 inches wide at the base and 26 inches wide at the top. It has the original mirror which measures 19x11 and a dove-tailed drawer with the original 12x8 marble shelf. There are six'dowel' hangers and two copper lined insets for your umbrellas. The sides are decoratively carved and there is a carved front inset. The top has a carved applique. It has been refinished with a natural stain and four coats of tung oil. The piece is in excellent condition with no'dings' or scratches. The mirror does show some wear. It is available for pick-up in the Louisa and/or Kilmarnock, VA area.

Quite strong and made from solid, perfectly matched thick single stock black walnut. The insert is original, made from a heavy cast iron with original moss green painted surface. Excellent condition. Measures 27.5 inches high to the top of its four top turnings, 14 inches outside and 11 inches deep. The sides are a full 1 inch thick and the turnings 2 inches.
