Best Gilded Library Book Bible Music Stand Cast Iron Oak Victorian Pat. 1895
Although I have only come across a few of these stands over the years. This one is BY FAR the best one I have owned. As it is presently configured. This book/music stands measures 44 inches tall and is a 16 x 16 inches at the foot. The finish is the original gilded finish. Which has a warm rich patina and is mostly complete. Of course there are areas that have worn more than others over the years, just a testament to a previously used and loved item. I believe the two quarter-sawn oak tablets at the top have been refinished at some point in the past and each presents very well. One could say striking in appearance. The legs have an ornate incised design running down each leg. And each leg does have the original metal caster at the bottom. Very easy to roll on a hard surface. In the center is a cast iron“basket” Complete and free from any ... morebreaks or repairs, retains most of the original finish and is a nice decorative element that also doubles as a storage area for addition books or sheet music. The center pole can be adjusted for height. And the angle of the wood tablets can also be adjusted. The mechanism underneath has a patent date of 1895, and is complete, free of any repairs and retains original authentic patina. One will notice a partial label underneath one of the oak tablets. Antique Victorian Cast Iron Music Bible Book Adjustable Stand LW Noyes Aermotor
For your bidding consideration in this auction is an Antique. Cast Iron& Wood Music/ Bible/ Book Stand. This is a recent Estate Acquisition in overall fabulous condition. The stand is a beautiful Victorian style and made by L.W. Noyes Aermotor Co. Mr. Noyes founded the Aermotor Company in Chicago in 1888 so my estimate is that this piece, with beautiful arched legs. Wooden caster wheels and Heart of Pine wood(very rarely used today as this was only found in virgin timber) was made circa 1890. The Stand has adjusting areas for angle of the book table as well as allowing it to swivel 360 degrees. The table top/ work surface can rest perfectly flat or adjusted to almost a 90 degree angle. The arched Legs drop down to the wooden caster wheels which are 16" apart. The wood book table is basically 2 parts- each is kept in place by a cast ... moreiron locking handle. When the handle is released, the 2 parts, due to the heavy spring action, fold easily up and together for storage. The top section is removable from the stand for shipping. Shipping estimate is 12 pounds and the required box size is 18"x18" x 36" One of the legs has been given a metal brace to support a crack in the leg which works perfectly. The wood finish does show some age wear, but no cracks or chips and can be seen in the close up pictures. The cast iron cradle in the center is designed to support the spine of the book. Fancy Antique Brass Cast Iron & Oak Adjustable English Book Music Stand
For your consideration is this very nice antique book stand. It features brass and cast iron construction and was made by Carters Ltd of London. I believe it likely dates to either the very end of the 19th century or near the beginning of the 20th. The fully adjustable oak shelf tilts and swivels and will slide the full length of it's shaft support. The chased brass vertical upright is fully adjustable for height and sits on a fancy cast iron claw and ball footed base. The book shelf which measures 14x9" can be adjusted from 23" to 44" in height and is 33" as shown. The horizontal support is 15" long and the cast iron base is 13x13" Everything remains in very nice functional condition. There is one small area of wear to the brass wrap right at the 90 degree angle of the upright pole. Nothing that detracts ... morewhatsoever. This one is as fancy as it is heavy and stable. Antique Book/Music Stand. Adjustable. Desks & Secretaries and Wood & Metal
Antique stand is adjustable. Brass or bronze metal on real early Masonite painted back. It appears to be a shellac finish, and the early Masonite originally came out in 1906 and was patented a few years later. I'm thinking 1920's to 40's when it was made. Folds and bends into a multitude of position's. It's quite a unique stand. I have looked hard to see a similar item and haven't since acquiring it. Condition is good, not great. It's a bit worn from age but no real damage anywhere on it that I have noticed except 2 corners slightly chipped/worn, little dusty. The are quite a few possible uses for this because of the design.

Antique Victorian Cast Iron & Oak Adjustable Book Music Bible Stand - No Reserve
Up for auction is a beautiful antique Victorian book stand. It is constructed of cast iron and oak with the base being designed with the pattern sometimes referred to as"Angel Wings" It is adjustable and is in great shape for its age. It has no breaks or damage to the cast iron and a few small age cracks visible on the edge of one side of the oak. It appears it may have been re-finished at some point in the past. This is an Antique Cast Iron Victorian Library. Bible, Book, or Music Counter Stand. It has wooden panels to hold your music or book. It has very graceful cast iron legs and wood panels that would hold your music or book. It adjusts in height from 31" to 43" and each wooden piece measures approximately 8" x 13" The wooden pieces swivel to make it easier to have your book open. The legs at the base measure approximately 17" deep and 19" wide. It is on wheels. It is in very good condition, with a small scratch on each of the wooden pieces and a bit of paint on one of the cast iron legs at the bottom. I hope you can see this in the pictures.
