It has been professionally refinished in our restoration shop in a beautiful medium oak stain lacquer finish that brings out the gorgeous grains of tiger sawn used throughout the entire hall tree. It has carved knuckle arms with big stout posts holding up the arms. It has a dove tail drawer in the base, turn legs, wonderful carved heavy-duty crest, open fretwork throughout and look at the bottom panel where you sit down to take off your boots. Raised panels of burl walnut, carved rosettes, incised carvings, the original mirrors and the original recessed beveled edge marble top, with shaped walnut display shelves flanking the center mirror. Truly a grand statement piece you would be proud to showcase in your home. This fabulous étagère measures 105 1/2 inches( 8' 9 1/2" in total height. Height to the marble at the base is 29 3/4 inches, with a total width of 54 inches and total depth at the base of 19 inches and this étagère weighs approximately 250 lbs total but does dis-assemble into 3 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The original mirror at the center measures 46 3/4 inches in height by 22 1/2 inches wide. This Victorian étagère is in fantastic antique condition. The original mirrors do show some mild spidering silver loss as common with old mirrors. And the original white beveled edge recessed marble top has no chips or cracks but does have some mild discoloration as age appropriate. There is also a small age shrinkage area to the wood by the bottom mirror on the right side see picture of close-up, and a piece of burl veneer missing on the left side towards the back; see close up picture. Neither of these affects the integrity or beauty this elegant piece offers. The locks are intact on the drawer and the cabinet below but the key provided just aids in opening the drawer and the cabinet. There are some light surface scratches on the finish, but this is normal wear for a piece that most likely dates to the 1910’s or early ‘20s. The stand has the original hardware coat hooks on it. It has an oval beveled mirror at the top center, and one small compartment, or glove box, with a hinged lid between the side braces that were meant to hold umbrellas. The piece has some lightly carved detail around the top molding and turned legs on the front. The bottom of the glove box is split from age, but it is still functional.

Gilded brass coat hooks and lift top seat with storage below. It has applied carvings at the crest, surrounding the top hooks, on the back, under the arms and at the bottom center on the seat skirt. The manufacturer is unidentified. Measurements: Height: 79� overall Width: 38-1/2� at base(widest points) Depth: 17-3/4� overall� Top of Seat From Floor: 17-1/2� Lift-top of Seat: 22-1/2� x 13� It is being offered as we found it. It has had 3 screws recently added to the arms(one on one side. Two on the other side) and one in the base. There are small chips from the wood on the inside of the arm supports which goes unnoticed due to location and doesn’t ... morebother structurally. Two old chips on back of one arm are present(see picture number 13) but is fairly insignificant as they have developed a matching patina and it adds a little character and testament to its age. The mirror appears to be original and never been re-silvered. It isn’t perfect. It shows some streaking and specks, but considering age it isn’t bad. The hall tree retains it’s original finish which is in very nice condition and shows only very minor wear considering age. Other than the added screws mentioned above. It is completely original.
