TALL GOLD GILT PIER MIRROR WITH MARBLE TOP BASE CIRCA 1860 - 1880
This is a very nice gold pier mirror that is in two sections. The top mirror part hangs on the wall and rests on the mable top base. Combined the piece measures approximatley 108 1/2" tall and 39 1/4" wide. The top mirror frame is 89 1/2" x 37" The mirror is 73 1/2" x 26 1/2" The mable is 39 1/4" x 14 1/2" and the base that it sits on is 38 1/2" wide x 17 3/4" deep. The top center ornament applicate was missing when I got it and I had it remade. All other parts are original to the piece. Email with any questions. Short term lay-a-way with 1/2 sale price down.

for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. Shaped, and has molding cuts. it has a large storage area under the seat. it is a very large hall tree, 88 inches tall, 16.5 inches deep, and 42 inches wide. all the carving is tight and intact, no missing pieces as far as i can tell. it is very solid and sturdy. it has not loose parts or pieces. it has a very nice contoured crest with a cut out in the center. the arm and arm supports are pegged into the hall tree. i hope the pictures are good enough to add to the ... moredescription. hall trees this size are not too plentiful and don't come up for sale often. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. if shipped i would recommend an antique mover due to the large mirror and large size. good luck.

Victorian Aesthetic Rennisance Revival Walnut Halltree Pier Mirror~Carved Head~
For your consideration we offer a 19th Century Monumental Walnut Hall Tree. This piece dates from the 1870's. It is beautifully carved and decorated with very choice hand carved decoration. We believe from our research that it may have been made by Thomas Brooks. The Hall piece is about 8 feet tall or 95 1/2" tall. Just the carved head crown is 27" in height. The Hall Tree is 55 1/2" wide from the widest carved part on the side. Midway down. The brown beveled marble is 33" wide by itself. The marble shelf stands 22" tall up from the floor. The Cast Iron Pans are in the shape of huge Clam Shells and the wood is custom carved to accomodate them. The Hall Tree needs a very good cleaning of the finish. It has a lot of build up from the wax or polish over the years. We had this delivered in the middle of winter here ... moreand have not yet had a chance to clean it throughly. We will be doing the cleaning this weekend. The carving on this spectacular Rennisance Revival piece is just beautiful. The head and carved pieces are solid walnut. There is some Burl Walnut Veneer on the side pieces of Walnut. The marble is the more rare with its rose color& beautiful matrix. There are a couple of loose pieces one from the corner at the top and another small piece that fits by the back. The Hall Tree has had some losses and repairs over its 140 years of age and usefulness. We are selling it as is due to its Antiquity. This is a very heavy piece of Victorian Furniture.
