This lovely 19th century Hat/ Coat Rack features beautiful two toned walnut.Pierced carvings& rosettes, 7 turned hat/ coat pegs and a sweet little lift up storage compartment below the mirror. This hall rack measures 52 1/2 inches in height.33 inches wide and 7 1/4 inches in total depth and weighs approximately 25 lbs. The mirror portion measures 16 1/4 inches high by 9 1/2 inches wide. Antique Carved Oak Victorian Louis F. Nonnast Coat Rack w/ Oval Beveled Mirror
This is an absolutely stunning rare Victorian wall mirror that doubles as a coat or hat rack. It is in beautiful condition; the wood and finish are excellent; the wood is oak and it is finished in a rich red mahogany color. The mirror is beveled and in very good condition with some minor light spotting in areas. The coat hooks seem to be cast iron with a gold finish and are all excellent. There are beautifully carved accents all the way around the mirror. There is one small wooden scroll applique missing behind the lower right hook. It's not obvious at all; I did notice it when closely inspected. But the coat hook hides it well and the piece that is missing was very small. There is a stamp on the back that says Lous F. Nonnast, Chicago ILL, and it is numbered 56. Here is an antique wooden coat or hat rack with carvings that bring to mind Eastlake pieces. This is an estate sale find. And I was told it is made of walnut from the 1800s. I am not an expert so I have included many photos of both the front and back of the pieces. Based on the back, I would say that this is the original finish. This is an antique coat. Glove and hat rack. It is stamped on the back and carved into the wood on the back"MAR 31, 1885& SEPT 14, 1886" It is approximately 32" wide, 20" high and 9" deep. I think that the wood is oak. It is in good condition for its age. The metal brackets are intact and have just a little surface rust. Walnut wood has an original finish in very fine condition with warm patina. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. Original large embossed bronze coat and hat hooks with griffin heads have traces of the original genuine gold finish. There are irregularities from shrinkage and small mars at the edges for antique character. A brass rail held canes and umbrellas over the tin pan for drips at the bottom. This is a Repurposed Antique Crib side into a Coat and Key rack. The Antique piece was attached to a pine board and Vintage looking iron Hooks were Screwed to the front of the piece. This is a very sturdy piece approximately 41/2 feet long and 13 Inches width. The Back Board was painted with a light turquoise and Pearl white chalk paint. Late Victorian walnut floor coat/hat racks are hard to find. This solid walnut coat/hat rack is c. 1890-1910. It appears to be in the original finish with a consistent patina. There are no repairs or breaks that I have found. The brass ball is in great shape. I am not sure if there was a finial of some type that went on top of the brass ball. The metal claw feet that holds each of the four walnut balls are in great shape(please see applicable picture) Each of the six turned spindles are also in great found condition. Here is a gorgeous Oak Victorian 6' 6" tall seated hall tree. Several delicate applied wood carvings. A beveled 13 1/2" square angled mirror and four Gargoyle hat/coat hooks adorn this beautiful piece. The back of the mirror is marked'B& Co. 1895' The 22" x 14 1/4" seat opens to an 8" deep storage area. Up for auction is this exquisite antique hat and coat rack. I could see this in a fine clothing shoppe or gentleman's parlor. Just so beautifully made and quite ingenious. Too. The four hat stands plus all the pegs swing open and close to desired position. Made of mahogany wood, it has survived in wonderful condition. There is some age to the finish as shown, as well as one bottom peg was replaced sometime during its life. I think this adds to the charm of the item, but you are to decide. With the hat stands in the straight out position, the rack measures approx. 38" w x 30 1/2" h x 8" d. 1800's antique cherry stick and ball hall mirror hat and coat rack philadelphia
for sale about the nicest stick and ball hall mirror. Hat, coat rack i have ever owned. it is presented in its original finish. i do not believe there is a piece missing anywhere and if there is any damage of any kind it is so small i have over looked it. at any rate, a wonderful cherry stick and ball hanging mirror with hat and coat hooks, 6 or them. the mirror is bad, however, it is original. if i sell it and the new owner wants me to remove the old silver and back the old glass with a new mirror i will do so for the cost of a new mirror. that would be less than 20 dollars, probably about 12.00. the mirror is 12 inches by 12 inches. the piece is 32 inches wide and 24 inches tall. it has a nicely carved crest at the top. all the fret work is perfect as far as i can tell. the very nice all brass hooks are 4 inches long and a couple have minor ... morebends in them, which could be corrected with little effort. the back over the mirror was a bit loose so i took it off so i could re nail it. in doing so, i discovered and newspaper which was the philadelphia ledger and was dated like 1884 i think, it should show in the picture i have listed. anyway, this paper was folded to keep the mirror from moving within the frame. i do not know if that was placed there when the piece was made and done so at a later date. at any rate, the mirror probably was made or originated in or about philadelphia. it is a fantastic piece, the pictures are terrible, it is 100 times nicer in person. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. i expect it will go usps for about 30 or 40.00. good luck

Carving along rim of tray. Early 1800s/late 1700s. Appears to be an early American piece. Since I bought it with a Shaker table and ladderback chairs. This is truly an outstanding piece and one I really hate to part with. But the time has come, as you will see in my pictures, this wonderful early Oak Wall Mount Hat& Coat Rack features Cast Iron Antler designed hooks. This piece is 100% original condition all I ever did was dust it, as you will see there are a couple of very old paint droppings on the wood itself and the one end was cut off back in the day. It is made up of three oak poles that are joined by a ball joint near the top, brass chains between them and the base being a wood basin that hooks to all three poles. Forming a type of TeePee shape. At the top is 6 separate brass hooks, the top with ball finials and ball feet. It measures approx. 64" tall and the basin is approx. 17 1/2" across. The only thing we saw to note was a few age cracks on the basin and the basin had 3 brass medallions on it, one of them is missing. Truly a stunning early piece and completely unique. GOOD LUCK!
