The sideboard is approxamately72 inches wide X 48 inches high at the sides x 24 inches deep in the center and 21 inches deep at the sides and 55 inches high at the finial. I have made one picture with a Flash to show the Burl pattern and the original key hole design.This is the lightest colored picture. The actual color of the piece is the darker color that is in most of the pictures Please note the very small hand carved dovetails in the drawers. There are no round saw marks any where in this piece.The thick Burl veneer on the front of the piece is very unusual and attractive. GORGEOUS EARLY ESTATE FEDERAL FINE BURL WALNUT GAMING TABLE& SEWING STAND We have the privilege to offer you this Estate. Early Federal Period fine burl walnut gaming table and sewing stand. This beautiful table came out of the Estate of Ellen Ried in Vermont. Circa 1860 and measures 28 7/16" tall. 21 7/16" wide and the depth is 18 1/4" It weighs about 75 pounds, might be less. Features a Federal period 2 drawer sewing stand. Which turns into a gaming table when you open the top and you will see there are 4 board games in one including, checkers, chess, cribbage and backgammon. The wood is of beautiful fine burl walnut, all original hardware including the casters. The top drawer has compartments and then the second is the sewing bin with pleated material around the wooden bin to give it that declicate touch. The carving ... morein the legs and feet are absolutely stunning and gorgeous. The table is in wonderful condition. Wear commensurate with age and use. THE CABINET HAS A MAHOGANY BASE. THE FRONT SIDES. SHELVES AND CABINET FRONT ARE MADE OF BURL WOOD. IT HAS THREE SHELVES THAT ARE GRADUATED AND A LOCKING CABINET WITH A FLIP DOWN DOOR WITH A SMALL DRAWER AT THE TOP OF THE CABINET AND TWO SMALL SLOTS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE DRAWER. THE DRAWER HAS TWO ANTIQUE BRASS DRAWER PULLS. THE FACE OF THE CABINET HAS A HAND PAINTED BASKET OF FLOWERS AND YOU CAN FEEL THE BRUSH STROKES! IT HAS A FINIAL AT THE TOP, CARVED ORNAMENTATIONS IN THE FRONT JUST BELOW THE CABINET AND TWO FRONT FEDERAL STYLE FLUTED LEGS THAT CURVE OUT AT THE BOTTOMS AND ONE TAPERED LEG IN THE BACK. THE TWO SHELVES ARE SCALLOPED AT THE OUTSIDE EDGES AS WELL AS THE TOP SIDE PIECES OF THE CABINET. THE CABINET MEASURES 22" X 15" X 70.25" TALL. THE LOWEST SHELF IS 19.5" X 13" X 41" FROM THE FLOOR. THE MIDDLE SHELF IS 13.5" X 7.5" X 9" TALL. THE TOP SHELF IS 8.5" X 4" THE CABINET IS 11.75" X 17.75" X 7.75" TALL. THE SMALL DRAWER IS 4.5" X 11" X 1.5" DEEP. IT APPEARS THE TOP FINIAL WAS BROKEN OFF AT ONE TIME AND THEN REATTACHED AS WELL AS ONE OF THE BOTTOM CROSS BRACES LOOKS LIKE IT WAS REGLUED TO THE RIGHT FRONT LEG.
