It was purchased from a retired woman's personal collection of vegetable teapots in the Buffalo, NYS area. Condition Report: There is an internal only hairline cross shaped crack on interior about 2" X 1" that does not go through to exterior orange base where the printed markings are. It is stable and only on inside, my guess is from actual hot water use in its heydey. It does not leak. There are alos old scuffs on base as show with slight paint wear. These are consistent with true age. High Bidder acknowledges accuracy of condition report and that they accept as-found condition of object. PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES BELOW Antique Gold Band Wedding Ring Pattern china. Probably made in the US or Great Britain circa late 1800s. Set consists of the Tea Pot or Server, Creamer and the Covered Sugar. I believe this was a wedding gift to my great grandparents in the late 1800s. My family referred to it as"Wedding Band" china and I understand it was very popular during the Victorian Period. This set has a charming twisted ribbon and tassle motif that draps over the handles and onto the sides, as well as the finials. To my eye there is a bit of of Oriental influence in the"wood peg" design of the finials. This would not be surprising, given the Oriental influence durng the Victorian Aesthetic period right around the time these were made. The teapot is about 9" tall to the top of the lid. SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Height: 120 millimeters(4 3/4 inches) Width Including Handle and Spout: 126 millimeters(5 inches) Diameter: 95 millimeters(3 3/4 inches) at waist. 51 millimeters(2 inches) at base; 33 millimeters(1 1/3 inches) at top lip. Lid Diameter: 29 millimeters(1 1/4 inches) Lid Height: 13 millimeters(1/2 inch) Both measurements exclude hinge. CONDITION: Exceptionally good. Almost perfectly preserved. Entirely intact except for the normal ... morepotting blemishes(warts and acne pits) associated with hand production. One tiny chip at the tip of spout. Cleaned and conserved, but soil adhesions still remain on unglazed surfaces and inside surfaces. All quite normal for a porcelain utensil of its age. Original glaze is almost entirely intact, minimal crackling/crazing. DETAIL: A splendid little glazed porcelain wine“hu” decanter) from the late Song Dynasty of Ancient China. Very similar to Western eyes to a tea pot. While one could certainly use this as a tea pot, it was actually designed to decant wine. The light green glaze that this artifact possesses came to be known as“Celadon Green” and it was very famous export-quality porcelain ware from the time of the Song Dynasty through the Ming Dynasty and into the Qing Dynasty, a period of perhaps 700 or 800 years. The original glaze is almost entirely intact, uncommon for a vessel which could be as much as 800 years old. When this came to us it had a lot of soil adhesions and stains. I originally thought it was a large teapot. But a little research makes me think it might be a punch pot. It is glazed inside. The spout is relief molded. The lid is very unusual how it sits down in the body. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: It is a large pot. Just over 7 inches tall. It weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces. It is approximately 11 inches long from handle to spout. CONDITION: There is a chip on the handle. And a chip on the rim of the lid- the pen is pointing to these in the close up pictures. The chip on the handle is in a strange place- I wonder if it was a manufacturing flaw or a piece that stuck out was chipped off. Circa 1880/1890. Made by Burgess& Campbell, a Trenton pottery in the later part of the 19th century. The pattern is Japonica and is a reference to the influence of Japanese design in the Aesthetic Movement. The design features raised Prunus blossoms in gilt gold and a blue and gold border around the rims and lids. The condition is excellent, no chips dings, or cracks, the only flaw I could find is a mark on the inside of the sugar bowl lid. It appears to be a very small raised glaze skip, not damage. This is a beautiful antique French Limoges porcelain teapot. It was made by the Charles Field Haviland Co. between 1891 and 1900. It has their green factory mark. CFH/GDM France, under the glaze. It features a hand painted woodsy and delicate maidenhair fern design over an ornate white body. There is matte gold on the handles, domed lid, and pattern flourishes. This rare piece is in very nice antique condition and free from any structural damage. There are no chips or hairlines. The gorgeous handle and spout are in excellent condition. There is old wear to the gold, which is typical for a service piece that would have seen a lot of use. This simply adds to the old feel of this lovely teapot. Vintage J MRAZEK Deco Art Pitcher WITH LID and SIX HANDLED MATCHING CUPS! Excellent Condition Vintage J MRAZEK Signed Numbered( Cups 260.A. Pitcher 270.A. and Hand Painted Brilliant Hue Art Deco Pitcher- Peasant Art Industries- California 1930's Wow. Don't see a Mrazek pitcher with the lid very often. and 6 matching cups? Rare. Imperfections are expected to the glaze and paint from hand painted pottery. This set is in excellent condition except for 1 of the cups- please read below. The one cup in question came to me with the handle glued on by the previous owner. It must have been old. Because while cleaning, the handle came off of the cup in 3 pieces. I carefully cleaned the area and glued the pieces together with an industrial strength adhesive, filled tiny gaps with patching plaster, matched the color as close as possible and applied ... morelacquer based glaze to some tiny areas so the finish matched. This cup also has a chip off of the base. Not big enough in my opinion to try to fix. This cup will obviously need to be handled a bit more careful while moving or cleaning. HAND WASH this set ONLY. THIS CUP LOOKS GREAT. You will have to examine the set of cups closely to find the damaged one. I have pictured the damaged handle for you to examine. It looks that good. 110% better than when I got it. Sorry for going on and on. But I don't want you to be surprised by this. Dimensions: Pitcher is 7 inches tall with the lid- Holds 60 ounces. Opening is 4 inches. Cups are just a hair over 4 inches tall. They hold 7 3/4 ounces, and from handle end to lip of cup is 4 inches. Now. The not so fine print- I have taken photos from many angles, please look them over before placing a bid as all sales are final. I do my best to sell"flawless" items. But when I know of one I point it out. I am not perfect. You may see something I did not, if so I apologize

Antique Teapot - Whimsical, Has Damage- Restorable? .
Up for bid is a OLD ANTIQUE whimsical teapot with saying"Good Cooks Never Tell. is not real white. More of an old white color to it. Maker unknown as has no maker marks to it unless very faint on bottom yet, which I don't have the best of eyes anymore to be seeing if is there. Looks more like cackling to me on bottom. It has damage along with flea bites to several areas. Spring type handle is intact as is the outer rim but inside rim shows some dings to it. Not sure if could be restored, but I didn't want to toss it out should someone collect these despite any damage. I tried cleaning the inside letting it soak in vinegar and water overnight, but it still shows stains inside of it. Partial yellow painting by the saying still shows through on it. The blue lettering is quite good yet. Study pictures as then you can see what I mean ... moreby age related damage versus myself listing each and every defect for is extensive to include 2 cracks, one on snout and 1 by inside upper rim plus additional defects like discoloration on inside etc. Displays nice on a shelf yet but I don't think I would use it for making tea myself. It's the biggest I've seen with a 20 cup capacity.Made of a nice qualtity porcelain but I'm not sure of the maker. The base is marked with two incised lines& the inside of the lid with an impressed K6. Overall condition is great with no chips or cracks to make note of. There is a very slight amount of wear to the hand brushed gold decoration as seen in the pictures. From the top of the lid to the base rim measures 10 1/2" and the pot is 18" around. This is a lovely vintage WMF silver plated porcelain tea pot. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The silver plate is in very nice condition with only some superficial scratches. The teapot is 6-1/4"high to top of knob on lid and is 9-3/4" long from end of spout to end of handle. It holds approximately 48 oz. The bottom is marked WMF and what looks like 1.20L. This is an unusual piece.

The Biscuit Jar measures from handle to handle 8.25" across and 6.75" without the handles. Is 4" high w/o lid. Lid measures 3.25" approx. in height. This auction is featuring a fantas tic Old Paris Tea Set. There is a tea pot. Creamer, sugar, and a beautiful matching tray. The creamer measures 4 1/2" tall& 3 1/2" across widest part. The sugar plus lid is 5" tall and 4" across the body. The teapot stands 7 1/2" including lid. T here is a dark dot on lid that was done at company. All three p ieces have gold trim loss due to age and wear. The tray is 11 1/2" across and just beautiful with 3 swans. This is a beautiful teapot from the Occupied Japan period. Which is 1945- 1952. The teapot has a lovely floral pattern, with dark blue accents and gold trim. It appears to be hand painted. The bottom is stamped with a"Gold China" mark. The teapot is approximately 8" tall with lid, 4" diameter, and 8" measured from handle to spout. Excellent condition with slight wear of gold trim on handle, spout, and knob on lid. Item was obtained at an estate sale/auction.
