Bottom of teapot has six characters that are blurred. See photo. Appears to be hand painted. Lots of gold that has worn off over the years. Age is unknown. Love the praying mantis with the flowers. ANTIQUE ENGLISH VICTORIAN POTTERY TEAPOT ~ COBALT BLUE
We believe this to be an old English late Victorian pottery teapot. It has a silver plated lid and weighs a little over 2 ¼ lbs. It is about 6 ¾” in height and measures approximately 10” across from the tip on the teapot spout to the back of the handle. The pot has no manufacturer’s mark. B20” is painted on the bottom(see photos) The cobalt blue glaze is decorated with what appears to be some sort of copper luster depicting palm trees which connote some sort of foreign exotic location. The tea pot was used and exhibits normal use wear to the decoration and to the silver plated lid. Constant use by human hands have worn a pattern in the plated finish around the finial and again on one edge(see photos) The teapot is in good original condition despite its’ age. Other than a pin head sized glaze pock to the body and the silver plate ... morewear mentioned. We find little fault here. The piece has no chips or cracks. Antique 10" Victorian Imari/Gaudy Welsh Floral Lustre&Gold Tea Pot-Pitcher w/Lid
Here is a beautiful antique Gaudy Welsh tea pot. Guessing circa 1890- 1910. It has an orange, brown& cobalt blue floral lustre design with gold gilt accents. It is in very good condition, except for a small amount of paint on the bottom of the handle- would clean off but will leave to new owner. I find no damage to the teapot or lid. The bottom is unmarked except for the numbers indicating who the artist was. The tea pot measures 9" wide from spout to handle and stands 10" tall. Gaudy is the name of a Welsh pattern"Antique Imari decorated earthenware" which was mostly made in England. This lovely teapot has been displayed in our smoke free home for over 20 years. The tea pot measures 4" tall and 7¾" handle to spout. In good condition- the only damage I can see is a tiny frit to the spout rim. No other chips/cracks/crazing nor restoration. A stunning and rare old Paris porcelain hand-painted coffee set. Comprising 1 coffee pot[and lid] 1 sugar bowl[and lid] 1 cream jug, 6 cups and 6 saucers. Made in Paris in the mid nineteenth century, c.1850, it has an octagonal based shape, and comes decorated in a rare european chinoiserie pattern with elements of the"hundred antiques" following the chinese"precious objects" tradition. This is a fairly common subject in chinese ceramics, but very hard to find in european porcelain. Condition is very fine. All the pieces are undamaged and free from chips. Cracks or hairlines. The decoration is extremely well preserved. This is one of the most PRECIOUS HAND PAINTED porcelain or ceramic teapot and cups and saucer sets that I have seen! The DETAIL is GREAT! The teapot has large white and pink flower petals around it and on top of the handle and the lid knob both are leaves. On the base of the teapot it notes"1992. The Bombay Co. Inc. There are 4 cups and saucers that match GREAT! Each cup has a flower on both sides and the saucers are the same flower. They are in yellow. Sudlow Burslem Teapot UP for auction is a VERY RARE Sudlow teapot. Dates somewhere from 1915-1930. Numbered on the bottom-02025(or they COULD be 07075-hard to tell as it was written by hand) The stain in the photo on the bottom of the teapot(last photo) has come off. I took the photo before it was cleaned good and it is gone. Sorry. The gold is still in pretty good shape. Usual wear and tear for something of it's age. The glazing does have some crazing. You can see it very well in the photo. Most prevalent on the bottom and the inside. This was definately someone's favorite tea pot at one time! Antique Chas. Field Haviland Limoges GDA Chocolate Pot c. 1900
This is a beautiful Limoges chocolate pot with four matching cups made by Charles Field Haviland and GDA c. 1900. Charles Field Haviland formed his company in 1870 and later took conrol of the Alluaud factory in 1876. In 1881 the firm became GDM and later became GDA(Gerard. Dufraisseix& Abbot) This chocolate pot is in excellent. Near mint condition. It is 8 1/2" to the top of the finial, and there is a rose and floral pattern around the pot and on the lid. The gold work on the trim and on the handle is very heavy and is all in beautiful condition. The only wear I see is on the very top of the finial. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines. The chocolate pot is marked GDA France and Chas. Field Haviland with a W underneath. Pictures 5 and 6 show the insides of the lid and pot. The four chocolate cups have the same design and beautiful ... moregold work. And they have the same hallmarks on the bottom. They are not perfect because two cups have chips to the goldwork(picture 9, left and right cup) and one cup as a hair line crack(picture 9, center cup) This cup also has some wear to the gold on the top rim. This is a beautiful set that was in my grandparents house for their entire lives. We'd love to find a special and good home for the set. It consists of 8 cups and sauces. A tea pot, creamer and large sugar pot. They are all in antique condition with no chips but a few hairline cracks in the glaze and consistent wear on the bottom of the pieces(as shown in photos) There are no markings with the exception of a small orange"x" on one of the pieces. Wonderful vintage tea set with an Asian inspired hand painted pattern. All three pieces are marked on the bottom. However I am unsure as to what it says. The tea pot measures about 7" tall with the lid and 6 1/2" wide from handle to tip of spout. The sugar measures 5 1/2" tall with the lid and 5" wide from handle to handle. The creamer measures 4 3/4" tall and 4" wide from handle to tip of lip. All three pieces are in good condition- No chips. Nicks, cracks or crazing. An absolutley wonderful and RARE Bavaria Theresia antique tea set with heavy gold and awesome colored transporations images! I believe the gold is 24 kt. This set was either a childen's tea set or demitasse. The teapot measures 8.0 inches tall. Sugar is 4.0 inches tall and creamer is 3.0 inches tall. Cups are 1.75 inches tall and saucers are 4.5 inches in diameter. Set includes the teapot. Creamer, sugar, 5 saucers, and 4 cups. All feature different original transportation images. The creamer has a train with"Locomotiva Italiana 1840" printed underneath, the sugar has two images- one bicycle with"Bicylo 1892" printed underneath and one antique car type vehicle on the other side. The saucers have 3 different images including the car type vehicle, the bicycle, and a ship with"Battello Clermont 1806" printed ... moreunderneath. The teapot is has a"Autobus Golosworthy 1828" on both sides. Each piece in the set is hallmarked. Decormann Tipo Weiden Bavaria Theresia" There is also a"Japan" stamp, which appears to have been added afterwards. The only issue with the set is the sugar top handle was repairs by the original owner. All piece display wonderfully. I have never seen another set like this.
