No Reserve! This is an absolutely gorgeous antique sterling silver oval-shaped snuff box or spice jar with hinged lid and relief repousse designs around all sides. The designs include classic urns and columns separating floral and leaf motifs and there is a flower basket design on the lid. The box is marked"RFC Sterling" on the bottom. This pretty box measures 1-1/4" x 1" and is 1-1/8" tall. It is in excellent condition with no dents. Dings or damage and the lid works great and fits snugly. A lovely old piece! Thanks for looking!

Antique Mother of Pearl Shell and Silver Hinged pill/snuff/trinket bottle. The shell is like spiral pieces and has a lot of green in it. The top is hinged and has a piece of pearl on top of the silver. There is a silver base. It opens and closes easily. It is about 2 1/2" tall. I have taken pictures of all angles/sides so you can see the shell. I am assuming the cracking is more natural shell than damage. You can see from the inside to the light outside(like there's a tiny hole) on one side. Again- I just think it's the natural shell. Anyways- unique and pretty.

Beautiful snuff/rouge/dresser box. Been in the family since the turn of the last century, possibly around 1880-1890. Clearly marked'sterling' on the reverse. There are two hallmarks but I cannot make them out. Hinged top works perfectly. Pattern is repousse, village scene with floral detail around the circumference. Looks like the inside might have been gilded at one time. Lovely little piece in truly excellent condition. 2.5" wide. 2" deep. Will be shipped Priority Mail. Insured. Antique French 950 Sterling Silver Gilt Hinged Top Rococo Snuff Box circa 1880
Superb Antique French High Grade 950 Sterling Silver Gilt Rococo Decorated Snuff Box from Paris 1880 This Antique French Tobacco Snuff Box measures approximately 2 7/8 inches or 74 mm across its length from end to end by just over 2 inches or 52 mm across its width from the back the the front and it stands a fraction under 1 inch or 24 mm tall to the top of the raised finger catch on its lid. The snuff box is made from 59.1 grams of higher than sterling.950 standard solid silver that has been internally gilded or gold plated in a serpentine rectangular shape with rounded corners and the snuff box has a seven section piano hinged lid that has a raised shaped thumb or finger catch on its front edge. The sides of the body have been embossed or raised relief and engraved with a shell like decoration that runs all the way around the box and the ... morelid has also been wonderfully raised relief and engrave decorated with Rococo style shells, lattice and sea scrolls around a raised shell shaped central cartouche that has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below, the side rims of the lid have been impressed with the French silversmith or makers mark L C of Leon Canopville from Paris whose mark is recorded as being used from 1874 until 1894 along with the a French 950 standard higher than sterling silver head of Minerva mark that was used from 1838, I estimate that this snuff box was made circa 1880. The condition is used and Excellent for its age. The snuff box has No Large Dents. No Holes, No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I can find, the snuff box stands straight, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the lid opens with ease and closes fairly tightly, the internal gilding is still a good colour with only minimal wear, the French silver marks are still legible although as this snuff box is a used antique the makers mark is worn and it does have the odd small shallow dent in the side and base of its body along with some extremely minor surface marks and wear

Antique Dutch Solid Silver Hinged Top Relief Decorated Pill or Snuff Box from Amsterdam circa 1820 This Antique Dutch Pill or Snuff Box measures approximately 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm across its length of its lid from side to side by just under 1 1/4 inches or 31 mm across the depth of its lid from the hinge to the front and it stands 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm tall to the top of its lid. The box is made from solid silver in a delightful serpentine like shape and it has a three section piano hinge on the back of its lid. The sides of the outer body and the top of its lid have shaped panels that each has a different embossed or raised relief and engraved decoration and the box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram, the underside of the body has been impressed with a Dutch.833 standard solid silver triple X over the ... moreletter B that I believe is an early Amsterdam assay office mark and this is alongside what was once a Dutch silversmith or makers mark, the upper rim of the body has also been impressed with a Dutch stylized dolphin tax mark that was used from 1814 all as photographed below and I estimate that this box was made circa 1820. The condition is used and fairly good for its age. The box has No Large Dents. No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I have found, the box stands straight, the decoration is fairly crisp, the hinge is working perfectly, the lid opens with ease and closes tightly, the Dutch silver marks are rubbed or worn due to their location although as the pill or snuff box is a used antique it does have one tiny polishing wear hole within the raised decoration on the top of its lid and it has several small shallow dents around its body and lid along with along with some minor surface marks and wear from years of use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would enhance it greatly. Personally I think that this antique Dutch pill or snuff box would make a superb addition to any cabinet collection and that it could still be used today, I also

About 1" heart shaped pill box stamped 925 sterling silver box with hinge. Shows use of carrying- bottom has some mis forming. Doest effect box or closing. Looks like just carried. Beautiful engraving on top! No visible imperfections from top- only bottom. Im sure it could be brought back to 100% but never bothered me. It's character!i used for daily meds. Worked great! A nicely made. Plain, antique solid silver snuff or pill box with a hinged lid. There is a very tiny hallmark on the underside and I have been informed that this indicates it is German, 835 grade of silver and made by the silversmith Robert Alterman and dates to around 1910. It measures approx. 3.3cm x 2.2cm x 1.2cm and is in excellent condition- no splits. Dents or holes and a perfect hinge and good fitting lid; just some light surface scratching due to age. A very pretty rectangular. Hinged lid, pill or snuff box measuring approx. 3.5cm x 3cm x 1.4cm and made out of solid 925 sterling silver. The lid has an embossed design in an Art Nouveau style and on the inside it is marked"925" for sterling silver and also having a full set of hallmarks on the underside consisting of"CME" A triangle which is the import mark for the Birmingham assay office and a date letter"U" for the year 1994.
