Norman 1990– UV/21D What we have here is a very pretty pill or trinket/snuff box in solid silver. The shape is oval in design. With an engraved lid, this has a royal crown on it above the monogram HRR or RHR or RRH– please see photos. The crown I always thought to be connected to Royalty so I am unsure if this little box is too, possibly you know from looking at it? The lid is hinged and it closes fine. Base is hallmarked with an E with arrows round it. Queen Elizabeth II mark, this I believe was the very first company of British silversmiths to receive the supreme accolade of The Queen's Award for Export Achievement. Hence this mark. There are also in this order AN in a shield for Ari D. Norman, Lion, ... moreleopards head for London, date letter q for 1990, 925 between scales and the a single 925. Also has hallmarked to the lid. On the side of Lion, Q, 925 in scales and then 925 The lid is slightly domed in profile with the monogram and crown. Please see photos. All surfaces are highly polished, the bottom and sides of the box are plain silver. The dimensions of the box are 35mm wide and 13mm in height(approx) Box is in super condition apart from one little ding to the lid edge which could be easily knocked out again by the right person.
