The detail of the roses& leaves against the blue enameling is simply gorgeous. It is marked Sterling& Germany on the bottom. In all it weighs 12.4 grams by my scale. This stunning Art Deco Snuff Box has the most beautiful Deep Red Guilloche Enamel to the top shimmers when tilted which is then framed with Marcasite Stones that sparkle. Superb French Sterling Silver Snuff Box Guilloche Enamel Dutch Painting C1875

This is a beautiful and exceptionally fine quality silver snuff box with superb enamel decoration. The box is rectangular in shape with straight sides and a flat top and bottom. The lid of the box has a magnificent hand painted enamel octagonal panel with two men and two women in finely painted costume. The man to the right with a glass of red wine in his hand, the lady on the left holding a glass in her left hand and with a wine ewer to the side. I believe the enamel is a depiction of a Dutch master painting. The enamel panel is surrounded by finely chased borders and bands of white and dark blue enamel. All four sides of the box and the underside ... morehave superb blue guilloche enamel with matching finely chased decoration and bands of blue and white enamel. The quality of the enamel is exceptional. The lid of the box is hinged and the inside of the box is gilded. The box is 3-1/8 inches/ 79 mm wide and 2-1/4 inches/ 57 mm deep. It stands 7/8 inches/ 22 mm high and weighs an impressive 175 grams. The inside of the box has a hallmark which is almost impossible to photograph due to it's location to the back of the front panel of the box and almost against the bottom. Antique Sterling Silver & Purple Guilloche Enamel Compact Snuff Pill Patch Box
Description Up for bid is a sterling silver and purple guilloche enamel snuff or pill box. It measures a little less than 1 and 1/2 inches square and is about 3/8 inches high. The top and the sides are enameled. And the bottom is plain sterling. It opens to a gold-washed interior. The bottom of the compact and the rim of the lid are marked 925. There is also a triangle within a circle(which appears to be a maker's mark) and a date letter of a small i. Since there is a date letter, I assume this was made in the UK for export. Overall condition is excellent. With no damage to the enamel. There is a shallow indent on the bottom of the box, but it in no way detracts. Domestic shipping will be $3.00. 1907 Sterling Silver& Guilloche Enamel Scent Snuff Powder Box Carved Cartouche This hinged round box is stamped 925 for sterling. Has a Date mark for 1907 and The omega symbol. Actually the sign of Leo, struck upside down here, is the town mark the London assay office used on imported watch cases. The round case is 2 1/8" in diameter, about 3/8" thick and weighs 50 grams. The case is marked in three places. The center has a wonderful round intaglio carving of a man and woman dancing done in mother-of-pearl. There is a perforated liner which makes me think it is a scent case but I do not know for sure. The enamel is maroon. Lid is very tight when closed.

Antique Sterling Silver And Blue Enamel Art Deco Guilloche Pill Snuff Box
Beautiful Art Deco style pill or snuff box with blue guilloche designs. It is marked on the inside and I can't really make out the mark. But I do see the number 1 clearly marked on the inside and the other mark looks like it starts with a g or a 9? I was told this box is silver when I purchased it. The box measures approx. 1 3/4 inches by a little over 1 inch. I love the colors on this box. A few scratches ut good condition for age.

ANTIQUE AUSTRIAN 1800 GUILLOCHE BLUE AND WHITE ENAMEL STERLING SILVER SNUFF BOX
Up for auction is a beautiful Austrian rectangular shaped sterling silver and blue Guilloche highly lustrous enamel snuff box from the 1800's. The blue Guilloche enamel design continues all around the bottom half of the box and the bottom has a wonderful engine turned design and texture. On the top cover is a thin white enamel line applied in between 2 silver textured boarders. The outside boarder has dotted indentations which add another delicate detail. The inside of the box has a gold gilded interior with a makers mark 1. possibly the marking was not completed. On the inside top which you can see in the photograph has the number 935. On the top of the lid is silver which I believe to be sterling silver. Measurements 2 7/8 inches long1/2 inch high. and 1 1/4 inches wide. Weight 77.9 grams. There is a small spot of enamel loss pictured ... morein the photograph. Unfortunately the photo gives it a black elusion instead of the silver showing through.
