A lovely solid silver card case with wooden interior and leather bottom.Engine turned decoration to the top,with central cartouche with the initials possibly'K.R' hallmarked on lid and body and stamped with an L to the bottom,it does have a few knocks and dents and is certainly not perfect,the wear and tear in no way detract from the look of the piece and could possibly be tidied up a little buy somebody.I have taken lots of photos so please look at those for a description of said wear and tear,the cedar lining is all present and correct though it has a few splits,please do not ask for a weight of the box as i have no way of weighing it and will respectfully not reply.There is also a tiny black mark to one side of the box which i believe to be dirt and would probably come off with some metal polish,the box measures 11.5cm x 9cm x ... more5cm no reserve so good luck. A stunning good sized very picture top silver snuff box. It is hallmarked with an 800 standard mark only. It tests as high grade silver. It would have been produced in either the Netherlands or Hanau Germny c1890. A Top Quality Solid HM Silver Engine Turned Powder Compact - Birmingham 1946
Here we have a gorgeous Art Deco period solid silver powder compact hallmarked for Birmingham 1946 and made by Cohen& Charles. This compact is a particularly high quality one with the engine turned finish on all sides and a stunning recessed flush hinge. A really good high quality piece of late Deco silver work. Measurements(approx) it measures 2.25" 57mm) square and weighs in total 108g. Condition; This compact has been left almost completely untouched since it was last used and I can find almost no issues to report. There is no personalised engraving so such a piece would be ideal to be a gift. The only minor issues I can find are a very small dent on the underside that is only visible in good light at the right angle. A bit of damage to the silvering behind the mirror which is very standard with pieces of this age and a slight ... moreissue with the hinge meaning the case doesn't quite shut fully. Large Solid Silver Singing Bird Box With Pheasant on Top & Drawer for Key
Hi. Selling this stunning German singing bird/ music box wonderfully made in 925 sterling silver. It has brilliant scenes of cherubs in relief all around the box and lower parts, it also has a pheasant sitting above on top of 4 legs. The box sits on 4 floral scroll legs and above the legs on each corner is a figure of a cherub playing a musical instrument. It also has a slide out drawer for the original bird key. It is in Excellent fully working condition with no damages at all too any parts of the silver. The mechanism is nice and tight and winds well and you pull the button and the colourful birds pops out and moves and sings extremely well. It measures a large 24cms in height, 14cms in length and 12.5cms in width including the cherubs and weighs 1430g in total. It is fully hallmarked to the side of the box as shown with 925 sterling mark ... moreand the German marks that are used from 1886 to the present and this piece i believe is more modern. The makers mark is a bird with initials below which look like E and V but I am unsure who these marks are for or an exact date. Antique Dutch Solid Silver Hinged Top Relief Decorated Pill or Snuff Box from Amsterdam circa 1820 This Antique Dutch Pill or Snuff Box measures approximately 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm across its length of its lid from side to side by just under 1 1/4 inches or 31 mm across the depth of its lid from the hinge to the front and it stands 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm tall to the top of its lid. The box is made from solid silver in a delightful serpentine like shape and it has a three section piano hinge on the back of its lid. The sides of the outer body and the top of its lid have shaped panels that each has a different embossed or raised relief and engraved decoration and the box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram, the underside of the body has been impressed with a Dutch.833 standard solid silver triple X over the ... moreletter B that I believe is an early Amsterdam assay office mark and this is alongside what was once a Dutch silversmith or makers mark, the upper rim of the body has also been impressed with a Dutch stylized dolphin tax mark that was used from 1814 all as photographed below and I estimate that this box was made circa 1820. The condition is used and fairly good for its age. The box has No Large Dents. No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I have found, the box stands straight, the decoration is fairly crisp, the hinge is working perfectly, the lid opens with ease and closes tightly, the Dutch silver marks are rubbed or worn due to their location although as the pill or snuff box is a used antique it does have one tiny polishing wear hole within the raised decoration on the top of its lid and it has several small shallow dents around its body and lid along with along with some minor surface marks and wear from years of use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would enhance it greatly. Personally I think that this antique Dutch pill or snuff box would make a superb addition to any cabinet collection and that it could still be used today, I also

A top quality Solid Silver Art Deco cigarette box hallmarked for Birmingham 1936 and has the makers mark for Alfred Deeley. Cigarette box is of a heavy gauge of Silver weighing 18 ounces in total with wood lining removed. Box has engine turned decoration the lid being cross banded on the inside and outside. There are no monograms or inscriptions. Box is in good good condition no splits or dents. This is a really nice article. Measures 6 and a 1/2 inches long.5 inches wide and 1 and a 1/2 inches tall.
