Antique Hand Cast Solid Silver Crested Shovel Shape Tea Caddy Spoon with Swedish Import Mark c. 1910 This Delightful Antique Tea Caddy Spoon measures approximately 3 3/ 8 inches or 8 6 mm in length from the top of the handle to the rim of the bowl by just over 7/8 of an inch or 23 mm across the widest part of the upper handle from side to side and it is 1 5/ 8 inches or 42 mm across the width of the bowl. The spoon is made from cast solid silver with a pierced raised relief decorated lower handle that has a figure holding a pierced. Relief and engrave decorated crest at the top and the caddy spoon has a novelty shovel shape bowl that has a raised relief figural scene of a w o men and children. The tea caddy spoon has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below and I estimate that this spoon ... morewas originally made in the Hanau region of Germany circa 1900- 1920 however it has been impressed with a Swedish three crown 830 standard solid silver import mark on the front edge of its bowl. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The Caddy Spoon has No Dents. No Holes, No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I can find, the caddy spoon is straight, the decoration and definition is fairly crisp, the Swedish silver mark is still clearly legible although as the caddy spoon is a used antique it does have the obvious signs that it was hand made and it has some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would not go amiss. Personally I think that this antique tea caddy spoon can still be used today for loose leaf tea and that it would make a superb addition to any collection, I also think that it looks fantastic considering that it's around 100 or so years old. A very pretty German(Hanau) sterling silver s nuff box. It is hallmarked with Hanau pseudo marks of Karl Kurz. A Kesselstadt based silversmith operating from 1877 until c1911. It is also marked with import marks for London 1 892 with the imports mark being TG for Thomas Glaser. It has been beautifully made with the lid being embossed with a harvest scene and the sides with hills and trees. The inside has been gilded. Victorian Large Sterling Silver Table Box Cherubs Hanau Style
A really pretty table box made by Thomas hayes and hallmarked for Birmingham 1897(late Victorian) It is incredibly stylish with a hanau continental inspired panel depicting cherub drinking wine from a barrel. The hallmark also has the sought after love heart shaped makers stamp which is collectable in its own right. The box is a good size and fits snugly into the palm of the hand. I believe this would have been more likely used for jewellery, pins and other adies objects on a dressing table as its too large for a snuff. There are sadly several piercings from polishing over the years as is common on repousse boxes, it is not ideal but is a sade reality of these style of pieces with the majority of them being like this. Weighs a couple of ounces but too pretty to scrap. Measures 10 cms at its widest point.

Exquisite antique Victorian German Hanau sterling silver jewelry casket by George Roth circa turn of the 20th century. Large. Footed box features an allover heavy repoussé figural motif. Framed vignettes of romantic couples reading and playing musical instruments. On the lid, a man is courting a lady with a small bird in his hand. There are flower baskets, cupid and putti statues, a water fountain, etc. Interior bottom is lined in emerald green silk velvet and lid is lined with a blue silk cushion for hat pins or brooches. Signature on bottom. In very nice condition overall with minor signs of age. One of the back feet is not original, locking mechanism has been removed, light soiling and age to the silk. Antique German Hanau Georg Roth - Sterling Silver Jewelry Box -High Relief
Being offered is a Charming Antique German Silver rectangular box. By Georg Roth& Co, dating from the late 1800s. This repousse/relief box has exquisite work covering the entire box. This is as good as it gets in a silver box of this type! On the lid is a wonderful scene with a mother and her four children and a dog. All walking back from the market or from picking in the fields. The family dog is leading them. The mother has a basket on her head and is also carrying a basket. A small child is holding on to his mother's dress and has what looks to be a piece of corn in his hand. Next in line is an older brother carrying the baby in his arms. Behind him and last in line is the sister who looks to be filling her basket with corn or a crop of some kind. All are bare footed. Behind the sister and in front of the dog are two standing trumpet ... morevases overflowing with flowers. This lovely vignette is framed with intricate scroll work. On the front is more scrollwork and a monogram in the area provided. The back side is a duplicate. Except there is no monogram in the crest. Each side has large woven baskets filled with roses and other flowers. The underside is marked with Hanau. Germany pseudo-hallmarks for Georg Roth& Company. The box measures 5 1/2 in. length- 3 1/2 wide and 1 3/4 in height. It weighs 11.56 ounces. This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There are no dents.
