Each diamond has a center zipper cut vertical bar. The jar's lid is decorated with lovely raised scroll decorations with a turquoise color bead or stone in the center. The decoration repeats around the outer rim 4 times. The upper rim of the lid has a tiny metal bead border. The finial or knob is decorated in a similar manner with 4 smaller beads or stones around the outside and one large bead on top. The glass jar has a crack along the inside rim as shown. There are no chips or loose fragments. It is a tiny bit rough along the ... moretop edge and is obscured by the lid when its in place. The lid has a circular indentation around the base of the knob probably a result of pressing the lid on with too much force. The lid is heavily tarnished and could use polishing if desired. The jar measures approx. 3 1/2" across x 3" high. The lid is marked STERLING with a makers mark for R. Blackinton& Co. North Attleboro, Mass. The mark was used between 1862 and 1967. THE BODY IS VARIOUS DIAMOND CUTS. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE CRYSTAL. THE STERLING SILVER LID HAS A FEW DENTS AROUND THE EDGE AND TWO CREASES BUT THE HEAVY ROLLED EDGE SEEMS TO HAVE PROTECTED IT FROM SEVERE DAMAGE.
