This is a nice little SOLID SILVER box which is prettily decorated on the hinged lid. It is in very good condition and is clearly hallmarked on the underside- it measures about 1.3/16" x 1.3/16" x 3/8" and weighs about 8.2g. It measures almost 1 1/4" square by 3/4" high. It is very substantial- it weighs 16.9 grams- well over 1/2 troy oz. The workmanship is very good- the lid is still a good and tight fit with NO spring. It is engraved to the corner of the lid with M.N. It is in very good condition- as. With less than the usual light surface scratching, it has a NO dings or dents- SUPERB. With a plain side. There are hallmarks on the side for Birmingham 1946, with a maker's mark for Marson& Jones. There are'dings' and dents around the pot, and a couple of centimetres of the lid edge has been squashed. The base. The inside of the box is gilted. It has some light scratches. And a couple of tiny dings to the side. Otherwise it is in good condition. The Height is 2.3cm. The Width is 5.4cm. The Length is 5.3cm. The lid is embossed with and Egyptian King. This is a lovely round pill box and is in very good condition. It weigh's 18.25 gm it is 34 mm in diameter x 16 mm deep. It is presented in a black-coloured case with white silk lining to the lid and black velvet to the base. It is very clearly hallmarked for Sheffield 2001 with the maker’s mark. MH’ This piece is almost in mint condition and. I suspect, it may have been an unwanted present or ex-shop display item. There are no dents or dints that I can find and the lid closes nice and securely. Please be aware that this is a vintage piece so there will be tiny surface abrasions caused through handling and cleaning. The case is in excellent condition. A 1" square x 0.5" high vintage solid sterling silver hallmarked square hinged pill or snuff box deocrated on the lid with embossed harvest corn or wheat and on the sides what look like berries and flowers. The inside of the box is gold gilded and is in wonderful condition and having a good strong hinge and close fit lid. The hallmarks are very tiny and are on the underside and include a silversmiths mark of"N.O" A"925" for the sterling silver mark, an import silver mark for the London assay office and a date letter of what I think is"A" for the year 1975. Hallmarked Solid S. Mordan Silver Pill Box - Blue Guilloche Enamel Chester 1911
A gorgeous little antique pill box. Made from silver and hallmarked Chester 1911, with the maker SM for S. Mordan& Co. The guilloche topped lid is enamelled in a lovely turquoise blue which just glows. There are a couple of dinks to the side and one to the base, and the enamelling has come away at the top of the heart, with a couple of chips to the side. Also, the hinge needs fixing, although the lid fits snuggly anyway. A beautiful little piece- please see photographs for a more detailed description. This is a gorgeous vintage Silver pill box. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1987. Marked REP. It is oval in shape. With a beautiful scrolled design all around the sides, and the edges of the top. It has a good strong hinge, and closes well. It is in excellent condition. And measures 1 and 3/4 inches across, and 5/8ths of an inch deep. Now a little information about postage. Most jewellery items come in new black cardboard or plastic jewellery boxes. With white wadding, and bubble wrap, for extra safety. These are then sent in jiffy bags, so all items should be very secure. The only exceptions to this are more delicate items, glass, china etc. that need added protection. These are sent in solid jewellery boxes, sometimes used, but always in very good condition. The top of the box is 1 1/8" x 1 1/8" the bottom is 1" x 1" the high is about 1/2" and weighs 12 grams. The box has no dings or dents the silver is hard and strong. All seven boxes are from the same part of Mexico. They are all stamped Iguala 925 Mexico with the Eagle 2 and they are all made by the same artist(GGR) They are in good vintage condition some may have light surface scratching and minor dings. Or dimples on the bottom. They all open and close just right. There is a gold stone, an amethyst with white veins, a jade green stone, light green turquoise stone, a dark red ruby stone, light blue turquoise stone and an abalone shell. These boxes are an inch to under 1 1/2" long they are not like the heavy kind from Taxco they are lighter in weight and have a delicate look. They all close evenly and all have hinged backs.
