I am not an expert in stamps but I believe the 2 and 3 Cent stamp values designated for the holder date from the 1930s. Of course. Any contemporary stamp roll will work perfectly in the holder. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are a good indication of the condition of the item. I owned this stamp holder for decades and have admired the design and function of the piece. At 140.6 grams of sterling silver, it has a very substantial heft. I doubt there are many of these unique and vintage stamp holders executed in solid sterling silver still around. A solid silver stamp holder designed to look like an envelope. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham with the year letter g for 1906- 07 and was made by Crisford and Norris ltd. It measures 28mm wide and 23mm tall. Slightly larger than a stamp. It is in good condition for its age but the lid may be slightly bent- see photo 2- although it does close properly. It's formed as a tiny envelope, with a hinged flap which opens to reveal the compartment within. Inside, it's stamped as Sterling Silver.
