Antique Hand Cast Solid Silver Crested Shovel Shape Tea Caddy Spoon with Swedish Import Mark c. 1910 This Delightful Antique Tea Caddy Spoon measures approximately 3 3/ 8 inches or 8 6 mm in length from the top of the handle to the rim of the bowl by just over 7/8 of an inch or 23 mm across the widest part of the upper handle from side to side and it is 1 5/ 8 inches or 42 mm across the width of the bowl. The spoon is made from cast solid silver with a pierced raised relief decorated lower handle that has a figure holding a pierced. Relief and engrave decorated crest at the top and the caddy spoon has a novelty shovel shape bowl that has a raised relief figural scene of a w o men and children. The tea caddy spoon has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram all as photographed below and I estimate that this spoon ... morewas originally made in the Hanau region of Germany circa 1900- 1920 however it has been impressed with a Swedish three crown 830 standard solid silver import mark on the front edge of its bowl. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The Caddy Spoon has No Dents. No Holes, No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I can find, the caddy spoon is straight, the decoration and definition is fairly crisp, the Swedish silver mark is still clearly legible although as the caddy spoon is a used antique it does have the obvious signs that it was hand made and it has some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would not go amiss. Personally I think that this antique tea caddy spoon can still be used today for loose leaf tea and that it would make a superb addition to any collection, I also think that it looks fantastic considering that it's around 100 or so years old. STUNNING VERY RARE This is an absolutely fabulous and substantial ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN solid sterling silver tea caddy which was made in London. England in 1904, by the famous Victorian silversmith, Sebastian Henry Garrard of R. S. Garrard& Company at their Haymarket workshops. It has a gorgeous tapered cylindrical shape with gorgeous and deep embossed floral and foliate decoration to the sides. It is NOT engraved. This wonderful piece measures almost 3" in diameter and stands 4" high. It is of very thick gauge silver. Very high quality and is VERY substantial- it weighs 182.0 grams- well over 5 3/4 troy oz. It is in very good condition with less than the usual surface scratching. A few dings and dents but NO splits ... moreor repairs- SUPERB. The push fit lid still fits well with a twist. Antique early 1900's J.E.Caldwell& Co. sterling silver tea caddy styled in a classic six sided design. The caddy has a removable lid and is very clean on the inside. It measures 4 3/4" height and weighs 147.5 grams. It is in very nice condition but 2 of the 6 side edges each show a tiny ding. Not that big of a deal in the whole picture. The lid shows a Victorian scripted ERM monogram. Intended for tea but could be used for anything that needs a fairly airtight seal. Quality item from a top maker. Starts low with no reserve.

An extremely rare and beautiful Norwegian 925S silver and enamel tea caddy/ box. It is hallmarked with the maker’s initials and mark of Marius Hammer and the 925S standard mark. For those unaware Marius Hammer was a very highly regarded silversmith registered as working in Bergen from 1847 until 1927. I would date this piece to c1900-1910. It has been superbly designed being beautifully shaped with the whole piece being exquisitely guilloche enamelled in opalescent blue. The silver has been vibrantly gilded(gold on silver) It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The gilding is thick and vibrant showing no wear. Antique English Queen Anne Style Sterling Silver Tea Caddy by George Unite
A wonderful Victorian tea caddy in the Queen Anne Style made from solid sterling silver with a hallmark for London 1894. As well as the pull off cap. It has a slide top, allowing the cannister to be easily re-filled with tea. Quite wonderful to come in it's original presentation box, making this a really special find. The box also has the initials of the highly collectible and top-notch silversmith, George Unite. The sterling silver under dish is from the same era and made by Frank Smith. The dish is marked with STERLING and the Frank Smith lion logo. The caddy measures 8 inches in width(including handles) Sits 6 inches high, and has a bottom diameter of 3- 1/8 inch. This is a beautiful and very fine quality sterling silver and faux tortoiseshell tea caddy made in 1904 by Martin Hall& Co. The caddy is rectangular in shape with a shaped rounded front and sloping lid. The lid of the box has a handle to the centre and a superb band of pierced swirling leaves around the edge. The front of the box has a finely pierced band of swirling leaves and a lock to the centre. The sides of the box are plain. The lid of the box is hinged and the inside of the lid has a green velvet lining. The box has a lift off lid with silver handle and the inside is metal foil lined. A stunning Edwardian sterling silver tea caddy. Made from a good gauge of silver with a good weight. The shape is a delight and beautifully decorated with embossed or repousse work. Either side has a charming ring handle and the top of the lid with an attractive finial. The lid fits well and when opened reveals the original gilded interior. There is a full hallmark for London 1902 together with the makers mark for the top-notch silversmith, William Hutton& Sons Ltd. A charming and very romantic little Victorian tea caddy. Made from English sterling silver. The canister is shaped in a heart from with a circular pull off lid. The underside has the full hallmark for Birmingham 1894, making this a true period piece. The makers initials are also present, E.S.B. for the silversmith, Edward Souter Barnsley. A beautiful sterling silver tea caddy. It is hallmarked for Chester 1911 with the makers marks being those of Nathan and Hayes. It has a beautiful Georgian design being engraved with swags and most interestingly musical instruments. The circular cartouche to its front is engraved with a single letter‘M’ It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs- there is of course be the odd minute but nothing of note. It measures 3.75 inches(9.5cms) tall by almost 3 inches(7.3cms) wide by over 2 inches(5.5cms) and weighs 154 grams. A beautifully made Chester example. An attractive antique sterling silver tea caddy made by William Hutton& Sons and hallmarked in London 1900. It is in very good condition with only light surface marks. The pull off lid fits tightly and is decorated with flowers and scrolls and the same pattern is repeated on the upper part of the body. The lower body has a wrythen pattern. A crimped flared base and a vacant cartouche. Full hallmarks to the lid are clearly struck. Those on the body partially worn. The caddy sits firmly on its base, is made with a good gauge of silver and altogether an attractive Victorian piece. Very good condition with just light surface marks. OUTSTANDING VINTAGE Solid Silver TEA CADDY Hallmarked 1917 Sterling VERY RARE NR Lovely- 4 troy- A& J Zimmerman- It is NOT Engraved This is a delightful VERY RARE VINTAGE solid sterling silver tea caddy with a push fit lid that was made in Birmingham. England in 1916 by the illustrious Victorian silversmiths A& J Zimmerman at their Regent Place workshops. It is in a cylindrical shape and is fitted with a push fit lid. It measures 3 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" in diameter. It is very substantial- it weighs 121.3 grams- almost 4 troy oz. It is in very good condition for its age with less than the usual surface scratching from light use. No splits or repairs- just a couple of dings to the rear and NO distortion- SUPERB. It is NOT engraved and the lid still fits very well. It is hallmarked with A&JZ, anchor, lion passant(sterling ... moresilver assay mark) s and the lid with lion passant, s that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1917. Great little tea caddy. Dated 1901 from what I could make of the worn English Hallmarks. Has a few little fle bits and a light scuff on the top that needs buffing out with a polisher. It had a gold was on the inside that's a little worn. Height 2 3/4 X 2 3/4. Weight 4.29 oz. what a great addition to the box or caddy collection.
