The First Fish is a very fine example with a fully articulated body and what I am sure would be Ruby Eyes. It is fully Hallmarked and I believe would be Dutch Solid 800 Grade Silver by the Hallmarks. This beauty has a fully functioning hinge for the head to open. But whatever was inside is now missing. The 2nd Fish is also fully articulated but seems to be just a sculpture, not a box as no part opens that I could find. This beauty is Hallmarked Spanish Sterling Silver and has a great ferocious look to his face. It has no faults and is in excellent condition. The Smaller Fish measures 3" long, the Larger Fish measures 4-3/4" long and the lot combined weighs 44 grams. I doubt you will find another lot like

Stunning Antique Solid Sterling Silver Trinket Pill Snuff Box, Dutch Soldiers
This is a very rare and stunning snuff box. It's a great piece to add to any collection. For its age it is in very good condition. Was very dirty before I cleaned it. It's sterling silver. It does not have any marking but I have taken it to my jeweler and he tested as 90% silver. I have also taken it to my antique guy and his eyes lit up when he saw it. I was told by him that it's definitely from the late 1800's and made in Dutch and its not marked because it was so old. Measures almost 2" in diameter and about 3/4" high. A stunning good sized very picture top silver snuff box. It is hallmarked with an 800 standard mark only. It tests as high grade silver. It would have been produced in either the Netherlands or Hanau Germny c1890. It has been beautifully designed having a cast lid depicting a highly detailed tavern scene and scroll and flower decorated sides. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside is clean and the lid forms a good tight seal. It is as mentioned a large example measuring a touch under 3.5 inches(8.7cms) by 2 and 3/8ths(6.1cms) by 0.5 inches(1.1cms) tall. It weighs a very respectable 87 grams. Exquisite Hallmarked Solid Silver Dutch Peppermint Or Lodderein Box Description- Very good Dutch octagonal scroll shaped solid silver peppermint or Lodderein box with a hinged lid which has a domed embossed pattern with a central scroll hand engrave cartouche. The box is beautifully decorated with engraved bands of varied patterns. There is an applied blank central cartouche, the base has the initals"L Z" etched. The box has a full set Dutch hallmarks which are stamped in various places. They are the Minerva's head duty mark which has the letter"F" for Leeuwarden assay(on the inner rim) The lion passant 2 for 833 standard silver(on the base) the date letter"e" for the year 1864(on the lid's outer rim) and the letter R stamped with the number 10 above, which is possibly the makers mark(on the base) Condition- ... moreThe box is in mint condition. For your consideration A Very Pretty Antique Victorian Dutch Solid Silver-Gilt Engraved Ladies' Snuff Box/ Pill Box with Seed Pearls and Ruby/Garnet Coloured Cabochons- Fully Hallmarked and dated to 1877 Silver is not my strong point. But I am trying my best to describe this item. This lovely hinge-lidded gilt silver box was made in Holland. It is a engraved and has filigree work and what appear to be seed pearl and ruby/garnet-coloured cabochons applied to its lid. It bears at least 4. Possibly 5 hallmarks: the Lion Passant, Minerva(but I cannot make out the location letter on her helmet, as it was engraved after the mark had been impressed) the date letter"S" for 1877 and then two marks(one inside the lid and one in the bottom) that are most likely the maker's marks, but they are too rubbed for me to decipher them. This is a beautiful and exceptionally fine quality silver snuff box with superb enamel decoration. The box is rectangular in shape with straight sides and a flat top and bottom. The lid of the box has a magnificent hand painted enamel octagonal panel with two men and two women in finely painted costume. The man to the right with a glass of red wine in his hand, the lady on the left holding a glass in her left hand and with a wine ewer to the side. I believe the enamel is a depiction of a Dutch master painting. The enamel panel is surrounded by finely chased borders and bands of white and dark blue enamel. All four sides of the box and the underside ... morehave superb blue guilloche enamel with matching finely chased decoration and bands of blue and white enamel. The quality of the enamel is exceptional. The lid of the box is hinged and the inside of the box is gilded. The box is 3-1/8 inches/ 79 mm wide and 2-1/4 inches/ 57 mm deep. It stands 7/8 inches/ 22 mm high and weighs an impressive 175 grams. The inside of the box has a hallmark which is almost impossible to photograph due to it's location to the back of the front panel of the box and almost against the bottom. It may have started life as a SNUFF BOX and later has had the blue velvet like material put inside. In feint engraving on the underside of the lid. Is the name A. H. Ruiter, 1867. The box is beautifully decorated with engraved bands of flowers and other varied patterns. The box has a full set Dutch hallmarks which are stamped in various places. They are the Minerva's head duty mark. The lion passant 2 for.833 standard silver(on the base) the date letter"P" for the year 1849(on the lid's outer rim) and two unknown marks one of which is possibly the makers mark(on the base) and another on the outer left rim. Antique Dutch Solid Silver Hinged Top Relief Decorated Pill or Snuff Box from Amsterdam circa 1820 This Antique Dutch Pill or Snuff Box measures approximately 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm across its length of its lid from side to side by just under 1 1/4 inches or 31 mm across the depth of its lid from the hinge to the front and it stands 1 1/4 inches or 32 mm tall to the top of its lid. The box is made from solid silver in a delightful serpentine like shape and it has a three section piano hinge on the back of its lid. The sides of the outer body and the top of its lid have shaped panels that each has a different embossed or raised relief and engraved decoration and the box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram, the underside of the body has been impressed with a Dutch.833 standard solid silver triple X over the ... moreletter B that I believe is an early Amsterdam assay office mark and this is alongside what was once a Dutch silversmith or makers mark, the upper rim of the body has also been impressed with a Dutch stylized dolphin tax mark that was used from 1814 all as photographed below and I estimate that this box was made circa 1820. The condition is used and fairly good for its age. The box has No Large Dents. No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I have found, the box stands straight, the decoration is fairly crisp, the hinge is working perfectly, the lid opens with ease and closes tightly, the Dutch silver marks are rubbed or worn due to their location although as the pill or snuff box is a used antique it does have one tiny polishing wear hole within the raised decoration on the top of its lid and it has several small shallow dents around its body and lid along with along with some minor surface marks and wear from years of use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected and a gentle clean would enhance it greatly. Personally I think that this antique Dutch pill or snuff box would make a superb addition to any cabinet collection and that it could still be used today, I also

A beautiful Dutch silver snuff box. It has a sword guarantee mark used from 1906 until 1956 and makers mark. I would date it to the early 20 th century. It has been beautifully made having a picture top depicting a sailing boat and windmill. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It is measures 1.75 inches(4.5cms) wide by almost 1 inch tall and weighs 39 grams. A super quality piece. Antique Dutch Solid Silver Relief Decorated Pebble Shape Tobacco or Snuff Box from Gouda circa 1910 This Antique Dutch Tobacco or Snuff Box measures approximately 2 1/8 inches or 54 mm across the length of its body from side to side by 1 5/8 inches or 42 mm across the width of its body from the back to the front edges and it stands 1/2 an inch or 13 mm tall to the top of its lid when closed. The box is made from solid silver in an oval pebble like shape with a three section piano hinge on the back of its lid that has a shaped finger or thumb catch on the front edge for ease of opening. This is a super antique Dutch silver box measuring 2 1/4” 6 cms) wide and 1 3/4” 4.5 cms) across x 1” 2.5 cms) high and with a hinged lid all in good working order. It's a beautiful shape and with super decoration all round and on the top and the bottom depicting rural scenes with a variety of animals and a cow being milked! Probably originally a pill or snuff box it has the lion rampant mark that defines it as Dutch and it also has the number 1 which confirms the silver quality as 93.4% pure.
